They shared a portal for us to upload docs into. It took us a few weeks to get started uploading those docs but we're still within their purported time-frame in mid-February. We had some access issues that, for myself, they fixed; that was not fixed for my wife and we had to bug them several times in the last week before our scheduled tax prep meeting. They then reached out to me, saying that they can no longer work with us and that they'll delete all the files I uploaded to their vault. When I asked them why, they did not respond.

My wife and I did both our personal and business taxes with him. As tax season progressed he became less and less communicative and eventually cut off contact entirely. He filed our taxes months later and finally got them completed near the end of June. This was after months of near daily texts, calls and emails. None of which were responded to. We just got a notice that we owe more than $3100!!! because he failed file a form correctly and did not communicate with us regarding it. We will NOT be using him going forward and a number of my wife's colleagues who also did their taxes through him will be moving on as well because they had similar issues with him. I don't know if he overextended himself or what, but in the end his actions cost us thousands in unnecessary penalties and we hope to save you the same financial pain, headache and frustration of dealing with him and his company.

He explained that I could use QBO without linking our checking account directly or utilizing AI features if I did not want to. The documentation is available via the portal to access anytime and also makes it easier to securely upload files. Each year however, the charge for filling taxes with them has increased. Started with $140 for 2022, $200 for 2023 and $260 for 2024 even when all my accounts remained same but I think it's still valuable service, unless there's another hike next year. Overall, it's great value for money because Noel takes time to review the return before filling with IRS, either in person or over a call.
