I've been once before for a massage and had a decent experience. I decided today that I would go back and this time do a full body massage. Although the employees were kind and welcoming, the minute I walked into the private room she said nothing to me. Gave me no instructions on what to do or where to lay. Nothing was really prepared and throughout the massage she left several times without saying anything and appeared suddenly without a word. It's also just dark and dead silent in the entire place which I find a little odd for a massage establishment. You'd expect some kind of spa music to drown out the Katy Perry blasting in the store next door.
I had to ask her several times to lighten up, even wincing and groaning at the pain. I understand massages are supposed to be a little hard in order to work out and relax the tense muscles but this truly felt like she was trying to tenderize meat. She picked both legs up off the table and dropped them straight down a few times which I thought was odd but I'd never had a full body massage so I thought, hm maybe this is normal? Well all day since my massage my left ankle has ached and I'm struggling to move my ankle around without pain. Along with this, my entire body is sore and bruised to the touch. I can almost guarantee that I will wake up with bruises. I can barely walk and even laying down on my back is quite honestly unbearable. I'm disappointed and who knows maybe I just got someone who was a little too strong for my sensitive muscles.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with sensitive skin and or muscles. I also wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with previous back injuries. I also probably wouldn't recommend it to anybody who bruises easily, especially if you're older. I don't think I'll be back after this. Maybe this is what I get for going to the mall for a massage? read more
