From the moment you arrive, it's clear that every detail has been thoughtfully designed to help guests relax, recharge, and reconnect with themselves. The accommodations are comfortable and peaceful, the spa services are truly world-class, and the staff is exceptional. Everyone I encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to creating a wonderful experience. One of my favorite parts of Eupepsia is the variety of daily activities available. Guests can choose from guided hikes, yoga, morning circuit fitness classes, chocolate and farm tours, and more. The schedule offers the perfect balance of movement, relaxation, and exploration, allowing you to create your own wellness journey. The meals are another highlight. Each day features chef-prepared vegetarian cuisine with a different country-inspired theme. The food is creative, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The resort also offers an impressive menu of spa and wellness services, along with beautiful amenities designed for relaxation. Between treatments, guests can unwind in the salt chalet, enjoy the jacuzzi, swim in the indoor or outdoor pools, or simply find a quiet spot on the property to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. What makes Eupepsia special is the freedom to create the experience that fits your needs. Whether you want an active retreat filled with hikes and fitness, a restorative escape centered around spa treatments and relaxation, or a little of both, Eupepsia truly feels like a choose-your-own-adventure for wellness. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already looking forward to my next visit!

TL;DR: Exceeded expectations by a huge margin. Delightful, unexpected, and amazing…read more I went looking for a wellness retreat (spa, whatever) with just a few requirements. First, it had to support a vegan diet (which I wound up upgrading to vegetarian after I made the reservations -- go figure) and second, it needed to be within driving distance. A third, albeit minor, desire was that it not be a 'factory' spa, where clients are pushed through the treatments like autos on an assembly line. My search was primarily on google maps, since that gave me the ability to see the distance and click directly on the links to see what the property was like. I quickly zeroed in on Eupepsia as a viable candidate. The website is gorgeous, the amenities appealing. So I made the reservation, thinking "it's only for 4 nights -- even if it's not quite what I'm looking for, I'll be fine." About 2 seconds after I pushed the "reserve" button, I got a call! From Eupepsia! Wanting to know what I was looking for and to make sure that it was a good fit. Wow. That has never happened before. And the woman I was talking to sounded so very, very nice. I was to discover that she is, indeed, very very nice. In fact, everyone at Eupepsia is very, very nice. They are gentle people who work hard to make your stay refreshing, healing, and delightful. The Eupepsia property includes a working farm, with A2A2 cows, greenhouses, a milpita, a creamery where the best cheese is made, a chocolate factory for small batch amazing chocolate, a bakery, and many other authentic elements that makes the promise of Farm to Table completely real. Well, I must add: somethings cannot easily be grown in Virginia, so those things are brought in but only from the best suppliers. For example, the wheat for their bread is imported from France. The dining is family style, which adds to the charm. More food than you could possibly eat is served at each meal, and if you happen to arrive late, a fresh serving of the hot dishes is brought to you. The chef is amazing. He really understands food and every meal is cooked that day, from scratch. For special occassions, he has been known to make a cake. While I was there, a vegan guest with a ton of food allergies had a birthday -- he made a cake that was possibly the best I have ever eaten that met all of the requirements of that guest. It is a small resort -- only 20 or so people at a time are guests. You are known, your needs are known, and you are catered to. It is not crowded and you can mingle, or not, as you like. The rooms are expansive and elegant in their simplicity. The sports facilities are awesome. The spa facilities are really great -- I particularly liked the water bicycle. If you are into hiking, the surrounding mountains are gorgeous and the air is fresh. The menu of treatments available is extensive, but I would encourage you to talk with the staff and explain any issues you are having, healthwise. I had suffered a series of falls in March that left me with whip lash like symptoms in my lower back that I was simply not able to conquer (and my doctor had no suggestions, except "maybe try a massage"). I explained all this stuff to the staff and they consulted with experts and presented me with a treatment that I did not at all understand. BUT while the treatment was in progress, I felt the pain starting to ebb. By the time the treatment was over, my lower back was fine -- I could stand up easily for the first time in months. Later, I discovered I could roll over in bed without being in agony. The next day, I discovered I could exercise without pain. And days later, I'm still pain free. So. If you are looking for a small, intimate retreat where you will be treated with respect, fed with the best food ever, and given the opportunity to heal or just relax in a gorgeous setting amongst genuinely kind, caring people, give Eupepsia a try. You will be happy.

When we arrived, she informed me she had to go outside to smoke before getting started. Should have left then, but didn't want to seem rude. Mistake. She came back smelling like smoke -- made it even harder to feel at peace during my session. I made it clear that I wanted to fall asleep during the massage but she talked and talked my head off. On top of that, she let out a huge burp during the massage which she laughed about. She was also full of inappropriate TMI stories about abusive relationships of fellow employees, guys that became aroused during her services, the greedy facility manager, among other things. The massage overall was of terrible quality and irritating. I left feeling emotionally abused. It was expensive and definitely a waste of a lot of money. My boyfriend got a massage with a man that worked there, who I think was a freelance broadcaster as well. He said that guy worked really hard and did a great job. He was the lucky one

The whole house stunk, no heat unless we messed with the breaker box and the heating units were extremely loud. I felt I couldn't hear if the smoke alarm went off while running the nasty, dirty bedroom heating unit. Ice maker on fridge did not work, some outlets did not work, no garbage disposal, no grill tools, fireplace outside was filled with water and trash, no smart TV to log into apps, no curtains just cheap blinds, hazardous dining table that left us with bruises on our legs and knees, stink bugs throughout upstairs, dingy and stained wash clothes and towels, no comforters or quilts on any bed, only scratchy throws, extremely small rooms, photos online are very different than reality. I went there two years ago for a "chakra cleansing " which was a complete joke! Recently my husband scheduled a massage for me and I cancelled due to work a conflict and offered to reschedule. They immediately ran my card that they had kept on file, without my permission, instead of allowing me to reschedule. I have been a long time customer of events at the spa and was shocked at how rude and unethical this business has become. I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you wish to be ripped off.

He called late one afternoon and they made the appointment for 9am the following morning. The only information provided to them was our insurance as our policy covers medical massage treatment. I was called into work the next morning and because their office was closed, I did the courteous thing of messaging them, telling them the situation, and offered to reschedule. Because we are locals and have frequented events at their center, talked many times with the owner, we assumed that they would do the ethical thing and allow me to reschedule. However, they ran a card that they had kept, without our permission from a spa visit two years ago, (which was quite frankly subpar but wanted to give them another shot) in the amount of $125. When we called to dispute it, the person deferred to someone else who sent me a message stating that I didn't cancel within 24 hours and they were not refunding my money...although the span of time between the appointment being made and the actual appointment was far less than 24 hours. I am highly alarmed that they kept my card number without my permission; especially considering that two years had lapsed since I had last used the spa. So, if you must use their services, please do not give them your card. I don't even trust that they could keep my insurance information protected.

She asked me my name then gave me a code to open the cabin of which I had rented on the WV State Park Website. Believing everything is OK, I carried on with my plans. The sites of the WV mountains are spectacular. Feeling the coolness of the breeze, the joy upon my dog's face, and the friendliness of everyone around I felt relaxed and assured that my trip to the mountains would restore the emptiness I felt inside. The late afternoon of my second day I was informed that the spa attendant could not find my information on the computer. After chatting with her she realized that I had made reservations at another facility. At this point I could not cancel my non-refundable previous reservations. I also had to move to a different cabin for the one I was staying in was rented to someone else. Any way due to her lack of management I ended up paying for both places. She gave me one night free..... the trip that should have cost me $400 cost me over $1000.
