The juice machine broke while families with children were trying to get their kids something to drink and the garbage was overflowing. While the hotel has been renovated within the last couple of years, the caulk in the shower looks dirty with a rust like color (and it's not to match the tile). The rest of the bathroom is pretty clean as is our room. The beds are comfortable which is the one positive. However, we will not be staying here again and would not recommend it to anyone. And btw, it's NOT cheap to stay here.

I was looking to use this hotel as my home away from home during my 3 month work assignment. After…read morestaying there for a couple days last week, i will not be doing so. The rooms were nice but the maintenance was slow. I arrived the day of an ice storm. Checking in the parking lots were full sheets of ice, some.more than others. I stayed in building 9. I called the front desk 2x to inquire about getting the lot & sidewalks salted. I literally had to slide from my car to the door with luggage. I also watched a elderly man have to do the same. The lobby parking lot was so bad that i couldnt even pull in to parl my car because it was so icy, my car just kept sliding I understand the weather was bad, however it is a HUGE safety hazard to not even attempt to put down salt. Maintenance never came. On the day of checkout, the fire alarm went off in my room. There was no fire in my room so i called front desk to ask for maintenance to come by to shut it off because it wouldnt go off. 40mins went by & no one ever came (again), however when i stepped out of my room there was someone vacuuming in the hall & the housekeeper was a few doors down. So mucj for even checking to make sure things were okay. The biggest deal breaker was the false information, or bait switch that was done. I spoke with the Sales Rep, Sara, prior to my arrival to inquire about a discounted rate for travel nurses for 3-6nights for the next 14 weeks. She quoted me a rate less than $100 after taxes. When i called to book the rate for my future stays she gave me a rate totaling $122/night & stated that the other rate was for 30 day stays only. This was not the information that was given to me originally as i never inquired about 30days. I was quite disappointed in the fact that she changed the info she originally gave & the performance of maintenance. Bar service was good even though they closed an hr early almost every night. Also the guy at checkin was very unwelcoming, & short. He didn't do a good job of explaining how to use the drink tickets either or that you get a ticket every night. Due to this i missed out on some of my complimentary drinks. I mentioned several times that I was in town for work. Out of all the units they had they put me in the building where they were doing construction, which woke me up from my sleeps during the day. I work late nights so sleep in when I can. I'm not really sure why you would put someone that id there for business/work in a construction building, unless that was the last option. Thay didnt seem to be the case as the lot was pretty empty on all sides. The hotel is quiet, very clean, and well-maintained. My studio room with a kitchenette (see video) was spacious, comfortable, and had everything I needed for my stay. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast each morning. There was a nice variety of options, and it was a great way to start the day without having to leave the hotel. The location is also convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. When you combine the clean rooms, friendly atmosphere, free breakfast, and reasonable rates, this hotel offers excellent value for the money. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there's always room for a little improvement, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Overall, a nice place for a single person, couple, or a family. Weak WiFi Free Breakfast Breakfast Area Fully Visible to Front Desk Creepy Manager / Unprofessional Manager Hygiene No Pool Room issues Highway Noise Paranormal Experiences * I'm just gonna elaborate on this one item at a time.. One of the biggest and most glaring issues for me is the fact that there is no elevator in this hotel. I'm surprised that that's not mandatory at this point in any hotel but that was my first issue. Now anyone who has ever stayed in the hotel and been the one that pays, you know there's often a security deposit associated in case anything is broken damaged or taken. Until staying at this hotel the largest security deposit I'd ever heard of was $40. I think $100 is absolutely ridiculous. So if after this review you still want to stay here be mindful of that. The other thing I've never understood no matter what hotel it occurs at is only having an ice machine on one floor. You run water through the entire building. Put an ice machine on every level especially if you don't have an elevator. Which directly leads into my next complaint you want to keep that with your ice buckets fine, but give them a lid otherwise it's just pointless unless you're thinking everyone's going to use all the ice at once. 90% of the time we're not. Their Wi-Fi is weak at best. For a casual cell phone user like myself it's not a huge issue however if you're trying to do any type of business it won't work for you. Their free "Breakfast " . Yes I listed this under Pros as well because I understand that they don't have to offer it. But if you're going to don't be cheap about it. Even extraordinarily basic motels offer at least one hot option. You hard boil eggs, it wouldn't be difficult to scramble them up, put them in a warming tray ... buy bread.. plug in a toaster and offer eggs and toast. As you'll see from my pictures there was more than enough room to do so. And if cereal is going to be your main offering , offer more than one type of milk. Especially given today's very prevalent diet restrictions. I also wasn't a fan of the fact that the front desk attendant can fully see the entire breakfast area I understand that security is important but that's what you have cameras for and I thought it was creepy with the guy watching me eat. Speaking of a sudden manager or front desk attendant, or whatever his title was let's talk about workplace hygiene. Because when he came past me to check the breakfast area, let's put it nicely and say he did not smell clean. Also I don't believe a t-shirt is appropriate work attire. Unless it's a polo offered by the company. The lack of pool was not a huge issue for me but if you're traveling with kids it might be. Just another thing I wanted to make note of. Now getting to the actual room itself, as I stated the rooms themselves are fairly nice and definitely spacious. However, being on the second floor of this hotel made me extremely uneasy. Because as you make your way to the bed and then make your way back from the bed there is a very noticeable slant in the floor which to me speaks of foundational issues. There are lots of cracks in the ceiling as you'll see in two of my pictures. There is a slant in the bathroom floor as well . There was an our room anyway . The hotel is also directly off the highway which makes for a less than peaceful nights sleep. Tying into that is my final con. Shake your head and laugh if you will but both my boyfriend and I had paranormal experiences including hearing voices and detecting movements and sounds that were not coming from either of us. In our rush to leave I forgot to take a picture but also one of the pillars in the lobby has a significant gap between the pillar itself and the ceiling. I'm sorry this is long but you guys know how I feel about being entirely honest so I wanted you to know my full feelings and experience at this location. For about $30 more go somewhere else or use your own judgment on choosing this location. ** the staff is extremely friendly and the hotel is clean but those are the two most positive things I can say**
