I was walking into the house, which had Chinese decorations everywhere. Entry is through the back alley (sounds sketchy). I was walking in just as a gentleman was also walking in. Oh goodness. But I asked him if this was the place, and he said it was his first time also, so I thought "safety in numbers!" This is definitely a traditional Chinese massage place - my masseuse could barely speak English, but thankfully I can speak a tiny bit of Chinese, so it worked out great. While the ambience isn't ideal (e.g., sketchy, not spa like), the deep pressure and reflexology was great. So, don't be too scared of the outside appearance, go with a friend, and overall, it was worth the back beatup massage (the way I like it!).

How uncomfortable that would be face down trying to breath though a mask. Your there to relax and get a massage. So we said no thank you. So really sucks to drive over 30 minutes to be told when we get there that Mask are required the whole time.

It's called Aescape, and apparently, it's the first A.I. massage offered in Indiana. I think that's pretty neat! I'm a traditional massage lady, though. I like the feel of human hands on my skin, so I booked a 50-minute relaxation massage. My massage therapist was very thorough about explaining what she would be doing and why, and also asked me if there was anything that I wanted her to focus on. I just gestured all around my body and said, "Just hit it all. No holds barred," or something like that. I'm a veteran massage-getter, so timidity is not something I deal with in a massage studio. I'm usually like, "Do your thang, girl/guy." My therapist did her thing, and it was a lot more gentle than I'm used to. That might have been her style, or maybe I should have communicated that she could go harder, but it was super gentle, like she was applying lotion on me. I'm a believer that every massage is a good massage (you're getting touched!), so even though it wasn't great, it was still good. This year, I have been training more -- my two highest mileage months ever were in February and March. Sarah is an excellent massage therapist who has helped my body recover and continue my training without missing a beat. It was for full leg+armpit waxing, and a simple facial, done by two girls. The first girl, I'm so sry that I don't remember her name, was so nice to me, she did a great job, nice, fun conversation. She made me feel so comfortable like she's an old friend of mine. She answered all my intro level waxing questions with so much patience, and told me not to wry abt anything. Unlike my previous at home painful waxing experience , the waxing she did for me was quick and did not hurt at all!!!! Don't get me wrong, it was a nice quick job with professionalism and attention. The facial was also great. But it was so soothing and calming, I almost fell asleep, so I didn't talk to my facial tech that much. But it was absolutely a great job, my face looked so clean and it was literally glowing afterwards. It was not a big salon, but it was very clean, and the decor was even cute. They play very soothing music in the waxing and facial room, or it also can be your choice of music. Every girl there is awesome! As long as you get thereC you'll be in good hands. I will definitely miss this place when I move. I highly recommend everyone to get their waxing done there, especially those first timers.
