BE WARNED. I was extremely disappointed with my experience here. I have been to other chiropractors and never experienced the things I did here. It was a complete and total mistake to come here based on reading one google review- which, I'm now noticing, was written by the guy himself! See for yourself on google! Caught red handed. I'll post a screenshot below in case he changes the name after he realizes it. Allow me to explain:
First and foremost, he touched a sensitive bodily area without warning or asking me first. It is good manners of a practitioner to ask before they touch a sensitive region such as your lower pelvis/pubic bone/bikini line area. I feel totally disgusted and violated, angry and confused, as I totally was not expecting this to happen and was taken off guard. Only really made sense of what happened after I left.
I have a regular chiropractor who I usually go to, but he's pretty far from my house so I thought I'd look for someone closer, and I thought I'd look for someone who practices applied kinesiology as I've had success with that in the past. Well I have many regrets about that now, because I don't know if I could ever erase this experience from my memory.
I had a bad/sinking feeling in my stomach while we were doing the consultation, even before I got on the treatment table. During the consultation I just felt like he was not very warm, and dismissive. He did not ask many follow up questions, and seemed disinterested. I did not feel how a patient should feel. I also felt rushed. My gut was telling me to get up and leave but I silenced it, I didn't want to just leave and take that time out of his day. But I should've put myself first, because of what happened later.
On the treatment table, he started making inappropriate jokes. For one, he was saying he thought I had brain inflammation/toxicity, which could be true, but after that he said "It's all in your head." When I didn't say anything, he said, "it was a joke." This is very inappropriate because 5 minutes ago I was telling him how doctors couldn't find out what was wrong with me for a long time and it was only until later that holistic practitioners were able to. This is really not something you should say to a patient. When a patient is coming to a practitioner they are vulnerable and jokes like this are not appropriate.
He took care to ask if he could have me rub this liquid on my skin as it contains alcohol in it, but did not take care to ask if he could press on my bikini line. What kind of mentality is that? I wear a headscarf, so I'm assuming he could tell I was Muslim, but after asking about the alcohol he did not even confirm what he was assuming my faith was.
He was pressing on certain points on my body. It really hurt. And when he pressed really hard he asked if it was too painful, when I was in so much pain I could hardly answer. I just got the vibe that in some sick twisted way he obtained satisfaction from that. I wonder if some people take positions like this because it's socially acceptable in these positions to inflict pain onto people and that is what they're after.
He also did not have much optimism about healing. Not a good quality to have if you choose a career like this. We were talking about histamine intolerance and food sensitivities. Don't get me wrong, I want someone who can be realistic and not sugarcoat stuff. But I have heard of many people healing their histamine intolerance. But this dr literally said "you can't have your cake and eat it too." What a damper. Who wants to go to someone like that for healing?
I don't know if he is just racist, or Islamophobic, but I just felt a deep hatred directed at me from him.
Please don't support this unsympathetic, disrespectful, fraud. You are supposed to feel better after going to an appointment like this, physically and mentally. You need to feel emotionally supported. I got none of that. Just $138 gone down the drain, and a traumatic experience with a so-called healer. I would never advise anyone to go to him, ladies especially. I've been to many practitioners, this was one of my worst experiences. You should be ashamed of yourself, Dennis Reiff. I highly regret crossing paths with this person.
*I will add that I called the office later that day on Friday; I told the receptionist that I will not be returning and to cancel my future appointments. I told her that I was uncomfortable and gave her a general idea about why. She told me to call back and speak with the office manager. I told her that's all I have to say, if she wants to call me she can. You would think that after hearing this the doctor or office manager would reach out to me immediately. Well they didn't. Today, Monday, I got a voicemail from the office manager saying "I heard you canceled your appt, if you have any questions or need clarification please call us back." That's it? Not even saying she wanted to discuss what I called about. Seems like they don't really care. Shameful.* read more
