Dr. Porter is a thorough and knowledgeable professional. I have suffered with high cholesterol and…read morehypertriglyceridemia for years and had no success managing it with low fat diet and exercise. Dr. Porter ran a much more complete blood panel than was done by my internist. Based on those results she prescribed a diet that restricts carbohydrates. She took a lot of time explaining things and answered all questions that I had. Though it seems counter-intuitive, with continued exercise and the new diet the cholesterol and triglycerides are now near normal. I visited my previous internist for annual physical. She was surprised with the improved numbers and no longer felt I needed to go on anti-cholesterol meds. I was told by my neurologist that I must take Vitamin D- I am very pleased that Whole Health offers the dose that he prescribed and that it's available in a single capsule. The available doses at the drug store required that I take 14 capsules to attain the dose he prescribed. I highly recommend Dr. Porter!

I had been a patient of Dr. Porter's for several years and saw her at least annually…read more Unfortunately, my experience in April 2026 left me disappointed enough that I have decided not to return. I paid $400 for what was scheduled as a 30-minute appointment, but my actual time with Dr. Porter was less than 15 minutes. During that brief visit, she ordered lab work, which I had drawn in the office for an additional $50. When I later called the office to get the results of those tests, I was told that I would need to schedule another appointment--and pay another $400--to have the results reviewed with me. During that same call, I asked to speak with the office manager because I felt I was essentially being charged twice to complete what I considered one episode of care, particularly since the initial $400 appointment had been so brief. I explained my concern and asked whether an exception could be made this time. I also explained that, going forward, I would gladly have my labs drawn before my appointment so the results could be discussed during the 30 minutes I was already paying for. Unfortunately, I found the office manager's response to be curt and dismissive. She stated that this was the office policy. I then asked if she would please take my concern to Dr. Porter for reconsideration, as Dr. Porter would recall how brief our appointment had been. The office manager agreed to do so but indicated that the answer would most likely be the same. She called me back the following day and confirmed that Dr. Porter would still require me to schedule and pay $400 for another appointment to review the results. I understand that every medical practice has its policies and fee structure, and I have no issue paying a premium for personalized, high-quality care. What disappointed me was paying $400 for a 30-minute appointment that lasted less than half that time and then being required to pay another $400 to discuss the resulting lab work, with no flexibility when I raised what I felt was a reasonable concern. After several years as a patient, I expected a more patient-centered response. Unfortunately, this experience changed my perception of the practice and ultimately resulted in my decision to seek care elsewhere.

And there are the people: Jeff and Vicki, who bring a combined four-plus DECADES of healthcare experience to their business. And while their attitude is professional, the Maras don't make the relationship feel like clinician-patient, but rather friends relating shared experiences. Most importantly, the services offered by MaraCare are focused on -- as the business' name suggests -- wellness, rather than trendy quick fixes. They have cultivated an atmosphere of relaxation 2) the front desk is welcoming, friendly, and polite 3) the masseur, Nicole, was wonderful. Nicole was great all around but excelled further with an 11/10 on legs, feet, and arms. Strongly recommend her for a massage anytime 4) pricing is good Negative: 1) they ran behind schedule by 11 minutes however that didn't take away any time from my 60 minute massage. My husband took me to Dr Halim and believe it or not he had me better in a couple days. I wasn't totally recouperated but he got me on the right path and I finally got better. I still go see him and I certainly appreciate everything he's done in the years I've been going to him. I believe I've been seeing him for 15yrs. Recommend Highly!!! No shame in seeing a Dr and what I really love about him he doesn't medicate you all up and make you feel like a zombie. I've had Dr's that have done that before. He's more holistic but still puts you on medication if needed and I'm on some.

She is incredibly knowledgeable and is also very good at explaining complex medical issues in a way that I can understand. My autoimmune disease had been misdiagnosed for more than 12 years before I came to Dr. Johnston. She knew exactly which labs, imaging, and other testing to order, and she was able to correctly diagnose a condition that my previous doctors had been telling me was something completely different. Since then, she has worked with me to find the biologic that works best for me, which has made a real difference in my mobility and overall quality of life. Just as importantly, I've always felt that Dr. Johnston listens to me and takes my concerns seriously. When something changes or a new problem comes up, I know I can ask questions and get thoughtful guidance rather than feeling rushed or dismissed. Her staff are wonderful as well. Everyone in the office is kind and helpful, and they even remember my name when I come in, which makes the office feel especially welcoming. Dr. Johnston's medical assistant is always helpful and responsive, and the staff are exceptionally good at navigating the complicated process of getting biologic medications approved by insurance. They also know how to help patients find assistance programs when medications aren't covered or are otherwise unaffordable. Managing a chronic autoimmune disease can be complicated, and having a physician and office staff who are both knowledgeable and genuinely helpful makes an enormous difference. I'm very grateful to have found Dr. Johnston and her team.

I don't know where to start, but I say I can't reach higher than Dr Corey Lucas at Mosaic Medicine…read more Here's why. I went to the Gapin Institute, upon a previous recommendation without too much feedback. But I was immediately was deflated by their imposing sales team who relentlessly serviced me first, & informed me of their "products", but their "actual" service was so incredibly minimal & bare, it barely performed the actual practice it is supposed to for fill. Their office was actually filthy and the service at the front desk left everything to be desired. The ladies ignored me when I came in. Just chatting to each other, like I never existed for a first time customer. Their nurse was nice but everything was disgusting in manners, in cleanliness, and timing. I came from Silicon Valley, California, being a resident for many years there, With highly accredited physicians office there and was sorely disappointed with the handle and care of the renowned "Gapin Institute" to which I was recommended loosely from a physician's office in Lakewood Ranch area. But, It really was the "Crap-in Istituate" Thank goodness for Dr Corey Lucas as he is an accredited physician with an immense span of credentials. He has an equal team of professionals meeting his requirements due to his diligence of caring from his heart not from his intake of of daily patients. And diatribe of salesman. Dr Corey Lucas has been and is a personal care physician & HRT doctor for the last several months of my being relocated in Florida. If you are looking for a doctor who is quantum qualified in emergency medicine, primary care and HRT medicine, Please this is your place. I can't believe the amount of phoney doctors who piggyback off your needs. Like the Gapin Institute. Dr Corey Lucas is one of the best physician's I have met since California who displays absolute integrity & care, something that is missing from today's healthcare in general. At least what I have seen in Florida so far. I recommend Dr Corey Lucas with hand over heart. I am seasoned with care and the lack of it. But Dr Corey Lucas has restored every thing with genuine care. I can't believe the care he gives his patients. It's an amazing journey to behold if you have suffered countless useless doctors only profiteering for themselves and not of your own health. Trust him. He's genuine and he can't be anything else. I thank God I met this doctor. Truly I do. All the best, Charlotte Thomas
