My mom (70+) started going here a couple of years again in prep for knee replacement surgery (2). They got her whipped into shape and surgeries went well. They did her post op as well. As for insurance- mom has medicare & a secondary - so no out of pocket as long as she has met her yearly deductible. As for me, i was in town for a week or so, and needed some work done (if you read my other reviews, this will make sense). Katie -insurance person, receptionist, and stealer of credit cards (i forgot my card once, so i'm teasing here) - checked my insurance - it was covered, just had a $25 copay - which is my PPO copay - SCORE!! Jill - the quiet one, did the assessment, with the precision (and personality) of an engineer- she put me through my paces and assessed my range of motion & limitations. i should mention, when i told her of my diagnosis (don't worry, i'm going to live) she understood exactly what i needed. Emily - the warm hearted torture machine who shared their motto "no tears in therapy" was awesome. She significantly increased my range of motion in the 3 sessions i was there. Given 3 more sessions i could have gotten to 98to 100%. Emily gave me the exercises that Jill had identified i needed & had printed out. Oh, and you realize i'm joking about torture machine. The stretching did hurt at times, but needed. i assured her i needed her to be a little more aggressive since i was on a tight schedule.

After hearing about float therapy (aka isolation therapy or isolation tanks) I took the step to…read moreexperience the tanks myself. After finding that New Wave was in the area I scheduled an appointment. The staff was very helpful with questions and explaining the process for my first float. I was unsure what the effects would be, and not feeling any different right after I felt it was a waste of money. However, later I did feel different and have had a few floats since. Each time the float experience has gotten a little bit better and I now notice a change in personality and mood after a float. For me the elated feeling lasts many days. Daily stress is reduced and I'm less annoyed. I'm not saying you will have the same effects, there are many reasons to float, for me it was to improve mood and outlook.
