I can't believe I'm the first to review!…read more I love this place! 8 months ago I was given a referral for physical therapy for issues I was having with my right hand. I chose this location because it was 10 minutes from where I live. I was assigned to Bonnie who's one of the hand therapist. She immediately made me feel very welcomed. She has a great personality and just made me feel comfortable working with her. She listened to everything I had to say and reassured me that what I was feeling was typical in terms of what I was going through (carpal and radial tunnel syndrome). She explained everything we were doing in detail and always ensured I had everything I needed. After a few weeks I stopped therapy, had surgery, and chose to return to MedStar NRH Pasadena because of the wonderful experience I had. I once again started working with Bonnie and had, what I felt, was a continuation of the best care I've had. I still come here for physical therapy due to a shoulder issue (I'm all sorts of broken) and still work with Bonnie. I've gotten to know the front office staff and they are always so professional and nice. I really look forward to my appointments because each one has been such a pleasant experience. Knowing that one day I'll have to end my therapy does sadden me because I've bonded so well with Bonnie. If you're looking for physical/occupational therapy where the staff truly cares I highly recommend MedStar NRH Pasadena. You'll find that you're treated with the upmost care and feel like a valued patient, something so rare nowadays. If you happen to need hand therapy, ask for Bonnie. You won't be disappointed!

Beware of the Autumn Lake Center in Gambrills! My Mother was taken here for rehabilitation therapy…read moreafter undergoing open heart surgery! The rooms were freezing and as a result she developed pneumonia and COVID!! The staff there are rude and did not show any concern for the health and well being of their patients! With the exception of One nurse there by the name of Ruth! The rest of staff were unprofessional and rude to my Mother and my family!! Have 3 days to go and the rehab center moved a long term nursing patient into my room, without notification. while there are other rooms still available. The social services employee refuses to help me with medical assistance to pay for my stay her, and admitted to not knowing how to do it. When I found out I was receiving a roommate, I went to the head of admissions, who admitted that since my Medicare stopped paying for me they were moving this patient into my room although there are still rooms that are empty here. I gave 3 stars only because there are some really good nurses and aids here and the food is good. I find that this place is only about the money. The admissions person stated out right that this is a business. I thought it was a service. I won't recomme ,.

In the past two years my wife has needed to go into a Rehab enter. The first time was two years ago…read moreafter she had back Surgery. They put her in a facility near where we lived. The facility was nice and seemed to be well equipped but seriously understaffed. It often took a half hour to an hour for an aid or nurse to respond to her call requests. Facility okay, staffing an issue. This time she after having fallen many times in our unit she was hospitalized, They decided to send her to a Rehab Center in Anne Arundel County. This place, though highly rated by Medicare was awful. It was a rather dingy facility in which you were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of urine and feces! It also took an hour or longer for anyone to respond to her calls, often she was told just to "go in your diaper" until we have time for you! The PT/OT facilities were bare-boned and she received barely more than 20 minutes of one or the other during weekdays. And on one of those days they had a group session instead of individual treatment where none of her Rehab needs were addressed! This place was so awful I found myself crying to myself, feeling guilty that she had to stay in this disgusting facility! I fought for and finally received the OK to transfer her to Lorien, Elkridge! I can only describe it as like going from the worst Motel 6 in the world to the Carlton-Ritz! Lorien Elkridge in a very welcoming, clean, well-equipped facility. And the staff, including the those working the front desk, are very welcoming, responsive, kind and caring!! She rarely waits more than 5 to10 minutes when she request assistance. They seem to be eager to get whatever she needs and often do the same for me. The nurse in charge, is on the ball and is willing to put up with my inquires of her medical treatment and requests from me to obtain specific treatments and/or mess (I will admit that my career with the FDA as an expert in both Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals does give me an unique knowledge base.) She gets OT and PT every weekday, often for as long as an hour each! I can't rave enough about this facility and its staff. If you live near Elkridge you definitely would want to send your loved one her if they need rehab. Heck, even if you don't live near here, I would still recommend you check this facility out.

Most of the staff that I saw and/or had dealings with seemed to be competent and generally happy. Yes, I did come across some less than friendly and less than helpful nurses. But I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the support staff for the most part.

While I understand the demands placed on healthcare staff, we experienced a lack of consistency in care, limited attentiveness, and poor communication when asking reasonable questions. At times, interactions with staff felt dismissive, which added unnecessary stress during an already difficult situation. More importantly, we had concerns about whether care protocols were being consistently followed, particularly given the seriousness of my mother's medical condition. After my mother was transferred to the hospital on April 13, a significant medical issue was identified that, according to her physician, could have become much worse had it not been addressed when it was. This raised serious concerns about the level of monitoring and care she received prior to her transfer. In contrast, the hospital staff demonstrated a much higher level of attentiveness, professionalism, and compassion. I am sharing this feedback, as I also shared my concerns directly with facility staff, in the hope that improvements can be made in patient care, communication, responsiveness, and accountability. Families place tremendous trust in these facilities, and I hope this feedback leads to meaningful improvements in the care provided to future patients.

Every day my talked to her she would say how wonderful the nurses were taking care of her, due to Covid we werent able to go in and see her but they did ask us before putting her into a room if we wanted a room with a window and we could come to the window to see her. One morning she wasnt doing very well and they called and said we could come and see her, we had to have a covid test before we could enter the facility. The family was able to see her that day and my wife was able to stay until a little after 8pm and then she had to leave. She passed a few hours after, and the facility called and informed us. The only negative thing I would have to say about the facility is when a loved one dies in the middle of the night why cant they wait until in the morning for the funeral home to have to be contacted and then the funeral home calls you and wants to discuss everything at 1am. This needs to be changed..

The 5 star CMS rating they tout is based solely on statistics. I had a decompressed disk in my lower back with such extreme pain I couldn't sit or walk or stand for too long. After several weeks of physical therapy I was honestly 60% better and could manage my pain again - without medication. I did daily exercise and traction. They have a mac-daddy traction device which I haven't seen at any other PT location. They also have an indoor track which you can walk or limp around for more exercise. It's a big location with a lot of different stations. The only downside is the parking garage - but if you're patient and plan ahead, you'll be fine. Just don't go in there thinking you're going to get a parking space immediately...you'll most likely have to go up a few floors. I generally park in the Sajack Paviliion and walk over on the people bridge....it's much easier.

Everyone I encountered the reception desk, security, and cafeteria staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The medical team from the doctors, to the nurses and techs have been great and took the time to explain my dad's diagnoses and medical needs. My dad has been admitted. It's difficult to thoroughly rate a place which I only visited daily and did not stay, but I can…read moresay this place made my father healthy and whole again and sent him home to live his normal life again. After a major foot operation, my dad could not walk without assistance. My mother couldn't lift him and without any in-home care, he needed to have a place to provide daily physical therapy, medical assistance and meals. Heritage Harbour Health & Rehabilitation Center is located near the Annapolis Mall and Riva Road, off in a secluded wooded area. It is very convenient. The rooms are shared with two people and a small curtain between the beds. The TVs are small and somewhat old. The TV channel is the Baltimore channel line-up which was difficult for my dad since he is an avid Washington sports fan. There is WIFI but it's not that reliable. The PT facility looked great. That's what it's all about. The therapists were very friendly and committed to getting everyone healthy. After my farther was sent home, they continued to visit his home and help with daily PT. Before we knew it, they arrived to pick up the wheel chair, walkers and everything else. Now my dad is walking about as good as new. Overall, my father never said anything bad about the place but was obviously happy to get home.
