I have been a customer for several years. I incurred some fees on my account because I went below…read morethe minimum balance. I thought the balance on my account was $300. But I have an old account with a $400 required minimum balance. I spoke with a banker about the fees and she said she would request a waiver of the fees. The request had to go to a main office. The banker told me that the branch manager could not waive fees. My complaint is: the banker sent off the request and 2 minutes later the response is a denial. It's outrageous that there was an immediate denial of the request. It's also outrageous that the branch manager has no authority to consider partial waiver of fees for a long time customer of 24 years. One more complaint about PNC is the banker was more interested in selling me on more banking services like a checking account and a credit card than in helping me with the fees. So I had to pay 5 months of fees. PNC has little consideration of customers needs and circumstances.

I…read moreswitched from my 1st Comm CU account to Alltru a few years ago only because at the time my nearest 1st Comm CU only had a walk-in at Walmart and no drive-up ATM. Since I have changed to Alltru I have been nothing but happy. I live close to their main office and usually do my business as walk-in. Tellers have always been friendly and helpful. If I need a notary (free) or manager they are quickly available. Drive up is a little slow sometimes. There is a drive-up ATM. They have all the perks of other CU's such as high interest checking, full online access, High CD rates, etc. Also, they are members of nationwide credit union organizations so that when I travel I get free ATM withdrawals from just about any other CU. Downside is that they don't have many branches in town. Definitely worth checking out though. As I said, I have been very happy with Alltru CU.

They go above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied, even over the phone. They take time to explain their terms and policies of any product you are interested in. Their rates are very fair. My only personal issue is sometimes you have to wait longer than your time permits, but consider the number of employees working, and the customer's situation may take more time to resolve than others. Don't go during their lunch break. It's better if you have an appointment, but there will probably still be a wait, depending on how long it takes with the customers they are currently working with.

Called me THREE weeks later and said that the pesos that they sold me.....they no longer used, first they said they were not good....then they backed tracked (as any liar would) and said they just don't carry denominations that big. SO it took u three weeks to figure out they were no good. But they were good when u gave them to me. They were further good when I traded them back in for American dollars. It took another two weeks to tell me that u went into my account. Now if I would have jumped behind the counter and taken my money back you would have had every police municipality in the bank. SO - now you have the pesos and my American money - and it is going to take you 30 days to figure out what happen and to replace my money. KNOW this - I am retired and I can sit in court with you until eternity....I dare you rob an elderly disabled minority. This is not going to work out nicely for you in court. Then at the end of the day - you will ultimately lose cause whenever this is resolved ALL OF MY LIFE SAVINGS are coming out of there.

Let her know this was my facility and I expected to be serviced at this location. I wanted a close community bank in 2007. Then around 4 years ago or so they decided to close some of their rural branches. Before that they sold branches in other States. So we got transferred 5 miles away to another branch in Gerald, MO. Now First Bank has given their rural patrons another kick in the rear. They sold all their rural branches to First State Community Bank. So after being a 13 year patron of First Bank, headquarters in Hazelwood, MO, we got kicked in the rear twice. Along with their patrons at these rural banks, the employees also lost their jobs. Do not chose First Bank to do business with. Their rates are not impressive, and they don't value you as a customer. Trust me, after 13 years we got shafted by this bank twice. The rural communities they were serving just wasn't good enough for this bank. Beware of being shafted by this bank, 1000s of rural customers can vouch for this.
