I have a deal where, as long as I use my card as DEBIT 10x/month, they will refund my ATM fees (CB ATMs are always free to me). They even refund them when I use some outrageous fee machine in an airport or casino. I've found them to be responsive, helpful, and thorough with my requests, so I continue to bank with Citizens. I'll never understand why we have so dang many banks, but among the multitude of choices, Citizens Bank is one I'm glad that I made. My only complaint is that they don't release my directly deposited funds as quickly as my credit union does. Sometimes it's a few days later. That bugs me.

When I call in for help to a real person, they say "THIS IS HAPPENING TO MANY ACCOUNTS TODAY". But they offer no help in resolving the problem. This happened today, Wed June 7 --NO FIX = I cannot get into my account except in-person during open bank hours; and this happened about three weeks ago and took THREE WEEKS to fix, and only was only resolved not because they reached out to me, but because I reached out to them for the umpteenth time. If I could quit them, I would, but still have a loan with them. YOUR MONEY IS NOT SAFE WITH THEM.

But my last in person visit I finally got to meet the super sweet staff that has been handling my deposits. Seriously. They are the sweetest staff ever!! My wife and I have been members…read moreat Select seven credit union(formerly Johnson city federal credit union) for 30+ years.We have had multiple loans with them and bought at least 5 vehicles through them. And always paid them every penny of the loans AND interest. And now days they won't even return phone calls my wife and I have both tried to communicate with them recently ( with little or no response). I applied for a Christmas loan online with them this week because i called and left (Ms Bell) a message and much as expected she never returned my call. When someone (Jase) did call I missed his call, and when I returned his call the girl that answered asked my number but not my name, so I don't expect that call back either. You would think they would value customers like us to help make them and their members profit but I guess not. My wife has already closed her account and I guess I'll be next. They really should adopt a different business plan!

A friend was the drop off point so I sent him a cashiers check and Eastman refused to cash it for him to pay the transporter. In a pinch I had to Zelle the money to the transporter, which I wasn't comfortable with, having not used it before. Went to Eastman with the friend today to try and get the cashiers check cashed. They are putting a 7 day hold on it and refused to call my bank to confirm the check's authenticity. Being new to the area, I will not set foot in an Eastman Credit Union ever again.
