Considering a bank, think twice before using Regions. My husband and I have been with Regions thirty plus years, you would think loyalty matters, I can assure you with Regions it won't. I have a savings and checking account with Regions, and they transfer money to savings each month via my request. I didn't make it to the bank soon enough and the checking account was low, but no worries As there was sufficient money there to cover all checks I had written. They took $50.00 out of the checking account which only had $44.00 in it and put it in savings leaving a negative balance in checking causing an over draft fee of $36.00 to apply twice. I borrowed money to compensate for this through a loan company, and the same night the transfer went through they carted yet another over draft fee. The money was in savings to cover the small check on the first over draft they caused by transferring it in the first place. When I called they offered nothing to help resolve the matter, claiming it to be my fault, that I must go into my account myself and stop automatic transfers from checking. Stay away from greedy banks, if you are not well off financially it will cause you great hardship and they do not care even if you have steadily put money through their bank over thirty years. Look for good small town banks who care about you as a person. I view Regions Banks and their staff as a bunch of thieves. read more
