As for taking care of patients, the purple team or mental health doctors are the slowest responding, dismissive doctors about looking into or ordering tests after obvious signs of illness us present. I know because I've been dealing with the doctors, multiple doctors for years for a Veteran under my care. I'm watching this Vet deteriorate mentally. He presents with signs of dementia yet it has taken 1.5+ years to get a GD brain scan, and more years than that to order blood work to see if there is any evidence of plaque (p-Tau) none ordered to date!. I had to finally get that test for this veteran outside this facility, to no surprise, it was positive. My suggestion, get outside consultation and medical care because this place is nothing more than a death waiting list station!!!

Immediately receiving a negative comment from the 'desk person' about the relevance of my chest x-ray. She informed me that I would need a reason for the xray. I didn't argue, sitting down waiting for the lab work. While waiting, I could she her mumbling to another person who seemed to be of some authority, as that person looked at me. I paid this no attention. When I finally got into the clinic, I asked the lab person for a supervisor to discuss the xray. The lab person stated I was going to receive the xray after all, which was accomplished, and I left the clinic. Two weeks later my manager asked me about the lab work and xray. I gave her the date that I went to to the Sycamore St. unit. I followed up with my manager a week or so later and she said the unit had no record of me being there. CLINIC VINDICTIVENESS? GO FIGURE! IT HAPPENS. (Davita, Inc. customer).

Instead of going to the emergency room my physician suggested I try urgent care. I went here and filed out forms waited in the waiting room for a bit. The nurse told me the doctor won't see me because they don't have anything for a headache. I know it may sound like a joke to most. Imagine every time you stand up you feel like falling down because the headache is so powerful. The fact that no one offered to check my vitals. No one offered to check my other symptoms such as dizziness and lack of appetite. Imagined if I walked out and passed away in their parking lot because a migraine headache wasn't serious enough to be seen. My blood pressure could have been high or anything. Never again thank

Contacted the appointment # 404-365-0966 as I'm feeling pretty miserable today with flu/covid type of symptoms. My appt was with my Dermatologist and set for 2 pm. I called at 8 am. I explained that I would rather not come to the appt due to getting others sick & could I reschedule. She explained I would be charged the cancellation fee of $25 for the late notice. I asked her if they prefer that I spread germs to innocent bystanders? Even if I were to wear a mask and disinfect my hands, we all know these viruses, Covid, Flu, etc. can easily spread like wildfire. A bit concerning... I think of the people (senior citizens, children, people that are already terminally ill, etc. being there) and me bringing in germs. Yes, I know it's common we pass germs in hospitals, etc. but if we could take into consideration of others, maybe we wouldn't spread it so quickly & effect others, just saying. She never answered the question by the way. Basically they want that $75 copay & do not care that I'm spreading germs or that I feel miserable right now. They're going to make money either way, whether it's my measly $25 cancellation fee or the $75 copay. Very disappointing KP and I didn't realize you were so greedy. Your marketing dept likes to elude that you actually care... Actions speak louder than words right? I care so I'll pay your little $25 cancellation fee to help others out. Shame on you & your unsympathetic policies.

*** 1/2 I have been…read moregoing to Safe Passage since early 2010, when I was getting the preventative shots for an East Asia family trip. The nurse practitioner who consulted with me listened carefully, decided what vaccines I needed and gave concerned, impactful advice. There was one funny moment: "Do you expect to be sexually active during your trip to China?" "I hope so," I admitted. "My wife is coming with me." And the nurse, Tung, gave me all my innoculations smoothly. Parking is convenient and cheap in nearby pay garage. I received a prescription for Cipro, Hep A and B vaccines (each in two stages), typhoid (oral), tetanus, and H1N1 that day and over the next two years. Cost has ranged between $80-125 per follow-up visit/innoculation. Hepatitis--the disease, not the shots--is truly scary. I had minor reactions to my hep vaccinations which is common. I'd rate Safe Passages higher but for two things. First, I've never been seen on time, despite the brevity of my visits, and how early my appointments were in the morning. It takes a whole four minutes to get a shot. Second, the payment process, which is pointedly up front and always in cash, could be handled with a little more grace. I believe this is largely a cash practice. Treat your patients as if they are good for the money.

That is until my most recent visit when I needed prescriptions for a trip which required me to take medication. I happened to mention to the receptionist that I wanted to talk to the nurse regarding my need for the medication, and she told me that I couldn't ask questions because that would require a consultation fee of $58. In all the times I have visited the clinic, I have never been charged extra to inquire about a prescription and they have always been very helpful. Two days later I called to ask about an alternative medication and the nurse I spoke with was extremely rude. I'm not sure what warranted the change in atmosphere or policy, but it definitely will make me rethink whether they will be my choice the next time I travel.
