I had one badly damaged and another not so badly damaged wall in my bathroom, and after my horrible…read moreattempts at repair, I realized that a professional needed to do the work. I found BJ on Yelp and gave him a call. I sent him pictures and he provided a more than reasonable quote on the same day. Lucky for me, he was able to come out the next day to do the work. On the work day, everything went as planned. BJ removed the old, cracked mud, sanded the walls, added new mud to the walls, sanded the mud, and then painted. In total, the work time was about 4 hours. I'm giving Thumbs Up Repair five stars because BJ responded quickly, showed up to do the work (a lot of people don't show up), and did a great job. I plan to have him come back to paint the inside and outside of my house as well as replace my kitchen countertops. He can do a lot of work, and I'm so glad I found him!

You wont find a better GC than Chris Branscum with Ace & Hammer. He is…read moresmart, caring, creative and hard working. I hired Chris for a bold, one-of a kind project: a 500sf 4-season sunroom housing a swim spa. Initially, I was GC'ing the project myself and early on in the project I made a big mistake with the foundation. Chris showed up to give me a roofing quote when he told me he was a GC, not just a roofer, and he wanted to take on the GC role for this unique project. He had already read over the plans and had some questions. It was evident that he was knowledgeable and was going to take his time to do things right. I told him I'd think about it. I went to his website and read the About tab. After reading that and other 5-star reviews, I knew I found the right guy. Here's the excerpt from his website and after working with Chris, I couldn't agree more: "You won't find anyone more well-rounded, compassionate, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. I love what I do, and we have a tremendous team of staff and colleagues that share my passion for this industry. The Metro Atlanta market has treated me well, and I aim to return the favor to its communities and neighborhoods alike. We're all in this crazy world together..... why not spend your time working alongside some of the most truly devoted folks that can create one of the biggest positive impacts for you and your family's life forever?" This project required someone with advanced knowledge in nearly every trade. I always had questions for Chris, and he quickly answered them all. He gave great advice, and we often followed it. In fact, I think his greatest contribution was recommending a gable roof over our spa - something my architect and I hadn't thought of. This completely changed the feel of the room and opened everything up! It also saved us money versus the original plan of a roof deck. And when it came time to execute, his team was great. There was only one instance where something wasn't done to our expectations and Chris owned up to it and had it redone free of charge. In terms of prices - He is not the cheapest and he's transparent about that but I don't think he ever increased prices on us. He rounds up with his estimates and regularly gives credits when he overshoots. You get what you pay for with Chris which is hard to say with GCs these days. He uses the BuilderTrend App for estimates, billing and storing progress photos, etc. It's a great app. We had one issue with an adjustment but Chris quickly fixed it. I have recommended Chris to a dozen friends and family and they all have good things to say. Chris' custom metal business cards with engraved blueprints and a QR code embody his craft. His work is quality, custom and bold.

He worked tirelessly to get some pretty challenging items fixed and completed in one day when we moved into our new home. He put my son's bunk bed together without instructions (no small task)! He adjusted shelving to fit my washer/dryer. He helped us put up a laundry rack, some small shelves and decorations, and a huge mirror on the walls. He is professional the whole way through. I appreciated that he used shoe covers when he arrived, he brought covers to protect my walls and floors, and he worked with me to decide the best way to display things. He gave me a reasonable quote before he came out, and eventually charged me a really affordable amount for the full day's work he put in! I've already got him on tap to do larger projects.

I was in the process of selling my home when I unexpectedly ended up with three huge holes cut into my basement ceiling (due to some last minute plumbing work requested by the Buyers). On a Friday, with the closing scheduled for Monday morning, Michael and his guys patched the holes and painted them with leftover paint I had. Unfortunately, the paint I gave them was not a good match at all. In addition, the upstairs AC quit working at the same time and it was hot as Hades up there! Although Michael doesn't generally work on weekends, he came out the next day, on a Saturday, and he brought along his HVAC man. The two of them got everything fixed. The ceiling looked like new and the AC was working great by the time the two of them left. I was the last to leave. At the exact moment I was backing down the driveway, the Buyers showed up to do their final walkthrough! (Talk about cutting it close!) Anyway, apparently, they were happy with everything they saw because the closing went off without a hitch the following Monday morning. I plan to use MCO Professionals for future work. I was very pleased with the quality of the jobs that were done; the price was the best of all the estimates I received; and Michael is very personable and easy to work with.

This has taken over 6 weeks and the work is still not done right. The mudding and sanding looks terrible and no amount of paint will cover this up. Michael will ask for final payment before work is finished. Unfortunately we paid him so we've learned the hard way. I have plenty of pictures to show how bad this work is.
