NOTE: My rating is ZERO, but you have to select something so I chose '1' to reflect as close as I can get to ZERO.

I reviewed these apartments after I first moved here two years ago, and needless to say, it HAS NOT gotten any better.
*
This property is 40+ years old, and there is NOTHING that makes it a "great" find. You are charged an arm and a leg for base rent, and by the time they add on ALL of the various trash and water charges, you have jumped into the "Not worth it" category.
*
They've spent plenty money remodeling the main office, and units that are being remodeled due to a fire. The residents are picking up the tab for all of that too, I'd bet.
*
I've never seen so many charges passed on to residents before.
*
These apartments are a revolving door for office personnel and rules and regulations. There have been at least five management teams in the two years that I've been a resident.
*
Now, they try and do "fun" activities to get residents involved, but who wants to be involved in a community where every chance they get, they're applying another fee for something?
*
The hot water is frequently out, with the interruption of water service being too many to count, dog owners are not picking up after their pets and poop is everywhere, the "security" gates are always in a malfunctioning state, the valet trash pick-up is sketchy, management "dances around" questions regarding the rent, why they can't do this, or why they can't do that.
*
The roaches have illegally written their names on your lease and are squatters in your residence. NOTHING seems to help in getting rid of them, and that's that.
*
Not all residents are here because they love the place. Some are here because of circumstances beyond their control, which have caused them to have to stay longer than they desire. I am one of those people.
*
Unfortunately, the remnants of COVID and Hurricane Beryl have left many at the hands of less than deserving housing entities. Rent and utilities have continued to climb, while salaries remain at Pre-COVID thresholds.
*
I haven't found the need to speak out on things like this before, but I couldn't see how not cautioning potential residents would be fair.
*
If you can hold off a little longer, I STRONGLY urge you to not seek residence here at Regency Park. THIS apartment community isn't worth what's being charged to stay here, nor the tone-deaf responses from management when you have an issue.
*
The walls are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING - TVs, conversations, music, intimate moments...EVERYTHING. There's little cabinet space in the kitchen, the closet is not much better, and the carpet in the bedroom has probably not been shampooed since the community was built, and I'm really trying not to think about all of the things that probably HAVEN'T been done.
*
I am prayerful that once my lease is up, I will be able to move into a NEWER, more resident friendly community where I am able to enjoy having guests over, as well as services to match what I'm paying in rent.

Don't move here. If you can help it, don't move here. The parking, the rowdy children, the easily broken into mailboxes...just don't move here. Save yourself the trouble of having to be the one to write the next ZERO STAR review. read more
