READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!!B4 MOVING HERE! There are so many vague / gray areas that can be used against you!!!! Mind you they have the best interest in the 'management company " itself and if for whatever reason you get some ridiculous neighbor that just doesn't like you or if the management team doesn't like you , it won't be in your favor . Without going into to much detail due to the privacy of our rights as new tenants I will label it as it is. You will be judged by your neighbors , you will be judged by management upon move in! Beware !!! This will come to haunt you . Unfortunately Al Angelo company has many gray areas in their contract. If you haven't read previous reviews I do advise you to do so. They are more concerned at retaining current tenants as to doing the right thing . They will use this against you . However Misty who we spoke to did clarify things in regards to my situation greatly . Would recommend her anyway , unfortunately she is not our property manager . To keep things short in reality of things , read your rental agreement carefully because they will use that against you greatly especially when upsetting long term tenants . Unfortunately due to the "GRAY " areas you really will be subjected to their will and descrissuon. Unfortunately due to other neighbors not being corgial and communicating with us we had to be subjected to multiple warnings . I also want to note I worked with multi family locations and their management for over 10 years. Upon moving here from California I cannot express enough how disappointment I was in regards to the "favoritism ' of either tenants have been there for a while or either the management team having a upset and just not liking you period. I highly encourage everyone to read all negative reviews because this will save . Do yourself a favor, if your a quiet hermit that wants nothing to do with your neighbors, just want the extreme of rules this is your place and what I mean is the management company. I will however say I'm SEVERALY disappointed from a management level. Phones constantly off the hook, no real direct answers from management . Everyone trying to cover each other's butts. It's a dog eat dog world here. . In regards to repair orders and customer service and the maintenance the service team has been phenomenal. However due to feeling like the Allie ( The manager) never being there consistently and Grace being irrational and feeling like she's retaliating i will not condone it. Now I want to put this out there , were people that also don't desire drama or let alone issues with neighbors . But I clearly fear favoritism and personal issues are being used against tenants here . It's sad, I had a higher expect on of Al Angelo company but again PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS. I don't mean any negativity and want to abide by all rules but clearly didn't expect this upon moving in. Again I'm not trying to DETOUR you but trying to set REALISTIC expectations by the MANAGEMENT Company. AGAIN Management COMPANY . Please do your research and save a headache. I only moved in here less then two months and Im greatly let down by the Management POLICIES and the ridiculous extent of what we've had to go through . Again needless to say not everything is bad , however when you feel like you can't be yourself living in your own house. I FEEL THE NEED TO COMMUNICATE THIS TO YOU ALL. They have the worst attitudes and obviously favor one another. Their names are common on the negative reviews about their Horrendous attitudes. I feel they're more concerned about RETAINING current tenants instead if their Ridiculous rules then in the best interest of being a "REALISTIC " human being . Very good and reasonable apartment complex. Gated community gives peace of mind for tenants. The management team and maintenance staff members are all very helpful and friendly. We've been here for a year and have a little longer on our lease. I highly recommend the Regency as a place to live in Vancouver. The walls are definitely a little thin and some of the appliances are outdated but that is pretty typical of apartments. Whenever we had any problems or issues, management or maintenance dealt with them fairly quickly. Also, plenty of parking spaces! read more

I'm really not sure why anyone would say anything bad about this complex. They have absolutely the best management and service there is when it comes to multi family. They have taken care of my mom multiple times and always immediately handle any problem she has with her apartment. In fact, I own many apartment buildings and houses in Spokane Washington and I am wanting to model their service and maintenance for my tenants. For anyone looking for an apartment that wants a company that takes care of their tenants, I would highly recommend The Regency. Great job guys and thank you for taking care of my m om. read more

My boyfriend and I took over a 2-month lease upon moving to Vancouver, Washington. Having just left the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in in Orange County, CA - you could say that ANYWHERE would make us happier than there! But all bias aside, Regency was good to us. The apartment complex itself was well kept. Great amenities. Friendly staff. Good location. Felt very safe for us. Only downfalls were that the fire alarms went off repeatedly even after being inspected multiple times. The walls are VERY thin (could hear neighbors when simply talking on the phone). And the gate broke down once with no one to answer the help line or assist. Other than that - I'd recommend. However, if you're a potential long-term tenant, you KNOW that you never really know a place until you've lived there for 1+ years. Thanks Regency! read more

My mother in law has lived here for MANY years, she originally had a 1 BR loft (around 10 years ago), but, has been in a 1 BR for @ least 6+ years located on the 2nd floor. Her lease is up very soon & Regency has raised her rent substantially, in addition, they, now are requiring she pay for her h2o separately from her rent, whereas, in the past it's been $20+ added into her monthly rent. She is disabled & on SSI, &, frankly, barely able to afford the rent now. Let me also add that she is paying current market value for her apt @ over $1000. Now, they are proposing a raise her rent with a 12 month lease over $150 + h2o?! Lastly, a colleague of mine moved into the EXACT same floor plan & level 3 or so months ago & is paying $53 LESS & WATER IS INCLUDED. So, my rating of Regency is 1. A nice, gated complex. The buildings have an artistic, sort of a post-modern cubism appeal, w/ units that feel more spacious than the stated square footage. Parking is not cramped and the grounds are well maintained. The club house and pool area are impressive and roomy , and the office staff are polite and professional. The Regency is obviously well managed and the maintenance crew are both quick and thorough. This is not an inexpensive place to live, and the units are not all updated, but w/ the crazy housing situation in Portland metro, I find it competitively priced right now, and the more dated units and appliances are very clean and in great shape. For me, the level of professionalism exhibited by everyone working for the complex that I've come across, seals the deal. read more

I love this apartment community. I wanted to wait to write a review until my husband and I had been here for a few months, just because I thought maybe anything would seem good after our last place. But nope they really are amazing. The clubhouse is gorgeous and has three areas for exercise, one being a weight room one cardio, and one room for aerobics and classes. There is a computer center which is great for when my husband's laptop is misbehaving and he doesn't want to use mine (OT but I have lots if rules so it doesn't get screwed up). The staff is friendly and professional. I have never had a bad interaction and they always take care of your needs right away. We even had an issue where our downstairs neighbor's fan was on constantly and keeping us awake so I called, thinking they wouldn't be able to do anything about it but lo and behold, they did. So so impressed. The apartments themselves I will say are dated a bit but appliances all function well and ours was immaculate when we moved in. Appliances and cabinets aren't a big deal for me; this is a temporary stop in our road to owning a home and I've lived in a townhouse with granite and stainless steel and they were awful awful awful. I so wish I had found this place when we moved down here originally! We have a one bedroom and a loft. The living room is my hands down favorite place. So much light and so much space! We put our love seat in storage so we can fit a sofa, armchair, coffee table, and our tv is under the stairs. If you're going to have hang ups about appliances, this might not be your spot. Everything works and works well and I can tell that if or when things can't be fixed, they're replaced. It keeps it an affordable community. Love it, you will too. read more

Lived here for 4 years and can't say enough good things. The office staff and maintenance crew are wonderful. What ever I needed, they handled in a short amount of time while being courteous and friendly the entire time. Only bad thing is parking. My parking spot wasn't that close to my apartment which is fine, unless you live alone on the third floor and have to carry groceries by yourself. Guest parking also gets a little mucked up with people just parking their cars and leaving them for days, but the office was great at getting that handled too. Other that, they're great and I'd suggest living here to anyone I know. read more

My wife and I have lived here for 4 months but due to a really noisy unit it has felt like forever. On top of that our lease renewal seemed excessive to say the least since they are trying to tell us that the market rate for a 2 BR 2 BA has gone up to almost $1,400 when the property right next store, Sterling Point, offered us a top floor 2 BR 2 BA Loft unit for only $1,200. Luckily for us we found a similar unit at The Pointe for even cheaper than that! The property itself is really nice though as the pool and club house are great things to have at your place (when it's not full of kids that is) and being so close to the 205 is super convenient. The leasing staff and maintenance staff have always been great to us too even though some of the policies of the Al Angelo company make it clear they don't give a F@#K about their residents. For example, when I reached out to the leasing office to see if there was anything they could do for us since we were unhappy with the level of day time noise in our unit we were kindly told that the only way to be able to change units mid-lease would be to pick a bigger floor plan and pay more money, Jeez thanks for the option! Noisy neighbors aside my biggest pet peeve about this property is their stupid gate which is purely for show since it allows anyone to walk right through while also making anyone unlucky enough to pick a unit in the front of the property (Buildings A thru H) forced to have to hear a loud "CLINK-CLANK" every single time a vehicle leaves the property. If you are going to advertise as a Luxury Gated community then stop being cheap by having a grate on the exit instead of an actual gate that opens and closes. I STRONGLY suggest trying to get a unit in the back of this property and don't make the same mistake we did by picking a unit based solely on whether it had AC or not because the AC is BS too since it only keeps the living room cool (like the ones you get in a hotel) while doing nothing for the bedrooms. And if you are accepting a middle floor unit in Building H in the beginning of October it's a good chance it's my unit (the closest one to the gate) so be advised that your upstairs neighbors have a small child who is constantly running around and I really don't think there wasn't a single day where I wasn't annoyed at the sound of the gate or running/stomping around upstairs. read more

I've never had a bad experience at these apartment. The layout of the apartment i have been in is beautiful. With a magnificent loft above the living area. The apartments are gated so no chance of those dirty neighborhood hoodrats or homeless getting in. If you're looking for a new home this is the place!! read more

I've been here for years, in two different units, and have been very happy. The location is excellent for my needs, the staff has been helpful and friendly, and when there have been maintenance needs the team has been impressively responsive. The grounds are well-kept, and the pool/hot tub seem to be in good order although I don't use them much. Cons (there are always cons, right?): lots of front door slamming from other units which then literally rattles my place. The walls seem a little thin but I don't have a great comparison to other properties. Maybe this is relatively silent!. The landscaping crew loves the leaf blowers so if you're around during a weekday there's often a racket (but that's a pro/con since the grounds look good). The cardio work out room in particular could use updated equipment. Still! I've looked at a lot of other properties in this part of Vancouver and haven't found anything this excellent. read more

I'm in love with these apartments. Moved into a 1 bedroom with a loft. It was on the 3rd floor. The bathroom was huge so was the bedroom and walk in closet. The living room was kinda small but only because the stairs leading to the loft took up room. Kitchen is a what I like to call a hallway kitchen. But part of the kitchen wall opened up to the living room. The only real negative was being on the 3rd floor was moving in and out... So many stairs. But over all this place is awesome!!!!!! read more

I have lived at The Regency Apartments for almost a year after relocating to this area. I was overwhelmed with all the choices & looked at so many. I truly believe I was really lucky for this apartment has everything I was looking for. A large lower one bedroom with a great layout. It was just upgraded with fantastic counter tops & flooring. The bathroom is Huge! Great closets including a walk in closet & outside storage. Most apartments charge extra for a carport. Not here & again lucky. It is right in front of my door! The staff in the office & maintenance are so friendly & accommodating. Very efficient & never any issues. Also appreciate the preventive maintenance. The grounds are like walking in a park with a great pool & hot tub. Work out rooms too which I should use but don't. Also pool table, computer area & community room for special occasions. My unit is in the back so very quiet. Like most apartments I do hear my neighbors above me & next to me. Not too bad, again apartment living. I am sure I left something out but you can check the web. Definitely would recommend The Regency to others. read more

Regency has been a wonderful apartment complex. The leasing agent Allie has been wonderful when we had questions and/or concerns with things and maintenance has been great. The grounds are very well kept and the neighbors that we have all around us are very nice. We feel very secure walking around the complex at night. As for the previous reviews... yes rent is going to go up, it's part of living close to Portland where rent is ridiculous! $1400 for a 2/2 is actually a pretty good price. As for the yahoo writing about the gate; yes it's primarily for show but it's better than not having a gate at all. There are spike strips as you leave and yes they make some noise when you go over them (if you are concerned about the noise don't live around the gate area - simple as that). I am not sure why he has to complain about that and give the apartment a 2 star... Should they be made out of paper instead of metal because you don't like the sound they make? Regardless - this is a nice property with great supportive staff in a nice location and close to stores. read more

Let me start by saying that I rarely write reviews. I wasn't planning on writing one now, but Regency is just such a great place to live. The gated complex is nice and well kept (albeit the gate arm itself is a bit out dated). The grounds are clean and the staff doesn't let mold and dirt collect on the siding or breezeways. The pool and workout room are a nice compliment to any complex and in the time I've lived here, they've been mostly very well kept. I live in a 1 BR with loft in the back of the complex and the layout is very nice and roomy. The walls are thin but I've lived in worse. I've had only a few issues but the maintenance and office staff are usually pretty responsive and nice. I love the location because I drive everywhere. Being so close to both 205 and 14 is really convenient. There are a number of places within walking distance as well like Fred Meyer, Trader Joes, restaurants, and shops. The kicker at Regency is the price. I've lived here for over a year and I still cringe a little when paying my rent. It's no small amount but I feel like I get what I pay for (which was missing from the Portland apartment homes I've lived in). I will say that being able to pay my rent via text message is one of my favorite things about living here. Guest parking can also be an issue if you have a number of cars visiting you at once. Overall, great place to live with the usual number of annoyances to be expected from apartment living. read more

My husband and I stayed in this apartment complex for 6 months almost two years ago and I hated it! The apartment itself was ok, like any other average apartment building, but the managment and the neighbours were terrible. I remember we just moved in and the neighbour below started banging on the walls and reported us for making excessive noise and we didn't even unpack or anything. We also got a note just like one of the ladies who said something similar in one of the other reviews, with no civilized talk, reasons, nothing. It sounded like we were going to get vaccated pretty soon. That happened again after a few months. The office staff (at least one of them) was rude, and uncooperative, I complained about the issue our neighbours have with us (and us with them by that point) and she was like Oh, yeah, well, you have to watch how you walk, try not to walk too hard.. I was stunned. In general I had an impression they were trying to have an attitude as if it was a Bel Air neighbourhood residency, and it is not exactly so..... A lot of things were frustrating there, from small to big things. They were putting messages to the doors every month do this, clean this, you need to tdo this, you need to do that. I totally get the review with the sticker on their car. The location was also pretty bad for me personally, because there is nothing I can walk to, only a few other apartment complexes and a freeway. We only rented it because we had to find an apartment really fast and that one was decent and available. read more
