Yesterday was my museum day and so I went to MuCem and also Musee Regards de Provence. As I explored the waterfront area I checked the sandwich boards for the restaurants and noticed that Regards Cafe, the Museum's in house cafe, offered a cafe gourmande for less than 6 euros. The cafe gourmande consisted of a traditional small french coffee with a small macaron, a light ball of pastry with chocolate cream and raspberries, and finally a small cube of an almond cake or torte.
I would suggest going if you want a calm place to enjoy a view of the sea. Do check out the museum next door to see their painting by Salvador Dali!
I would echo what was mentioned in several other reviews, the wait staff is not particularly attentive nor communicative. When I first walked in during the afternoon they could have told me that they would be closing the cash register in 15 minutes after my arrival. Instead, no sooner had I settled into my seat a waitress walked over to me and insisted that I needed to pay right then and there. I was confused, since French is not my first language. read more
