I also felt bad for the server because I didn't feel like he deserved what I would normally tip on the bill, but it's not his fault and I'm not sure how they're getting paid. There is a petting zoo, a little train ride through a "mine", hiking trails, ax throwing, Native American demonstrations, and so, so much more. Now as for the dinner, you'll be sat family style and then section by section you'll go up and make your way through the buffet line. I was surprised by how tasty everything was (the brisket wasn't Texas worthy but the bbq chicken was super yummy). As soon as everyone had gone through the line, it was open for anyone to go back through the buffet line for seconds (or thirds). But wait there's more! While you dine, you'll also enjoy a live musical show with a band singing old Western and spiritual songs. And as if the visit couldn't have been any better, towards the end of the show a herd of wild bighorn canyon sheep made their way down from the surrounding hills and wandered through the rach outside the dining hall. All in all I'll definitely be back to Flying W Ranch if ever get the chance and so should you if you ever find your way in Colorado Springs!

And there is a ton of food to grab. You just carry your metal plate and people place food directly onto your plate as you walk down the line. There is more than enough food, I definitely could not finish it all. You get brisket, chicken, baked beans, baked potato, applesauce, biscuit, and spice cake. Could have used a vegetable to round out the meal but thats ok, I'm not complaining. After everyone gets food, you can grab seconds if you want. There are also plenty of drinks like water, lemonade, and iced tea. And finally, the show begins. The Flying W are a talented group of musicians that can sing and play instruments. They sang classic cowboy Western songs but also some Christian songs. It was extraordinary and made for a great way to round out the night. Parking was rough- the parking lot is tiny and requires validation I think (there was a sign on the door), but if you drive around there is some street parking that has a 3 hour limit. I prefer the location closer to me (there are so many in Denver!) but don't mind stopping in if they are playing something I have to see.

The screens are great and crisp, sound is excellent, but the seats are horrible here. The seat cushions are way too narrow and you feel yourself sliding forward a bit. They are stiff leather seats and outdated. Also, the seats have a big two inch gap at the bottom which makes it easy to lose things behind the seat. The Westminster location has much better seats that recline. The parking is much harder here compared to Westminster. I usually park in their parking lot behind the theater or on side streets but there's also a validated garage across the street. You have to validate at the front desk before you go into your theater and that gives you 4 free hours. It's also a much sketchier location compared to Westminster, especially at night. I came back to my car to see a homeless couple shooting up drugs on the Alamo staircase behind the theater. Just be aware that's a possibility here if getting out late at night. Food is great especially the BBQ chicken pizza. The homemade chocolate chip cookies are usually great but tonight they served me them in a plate that's too cramped for the soft cookies, and they therefore became deformed and fell apart. When you charge $10 for cookies, at least have them on a plate long enough for all 3 cookies like the Westminster location. I haven't been to the Littleton location in CO, but I see no reason to ever go to this location over the Westminster one unless something is only playing here.

On Sunday, we had some free time and decided to come to this D&B location for some video games. Parking is available on the street, but you are better off using the "less than 2 hours" available in the garage. Since it was a holiday weekend, it was a little busier than we expected. Maya greeted us at the host station. After answering a few questions, she got us started with some of the cards used to play games. We didn't expect to be here that long, but lo and behold we re-upped our cards once again, both of us spending $45 on each card 2X. Maya was great, friendly, helpful, professional. We went to the bar to get some drinks (N/A). Waited a few minutes, but then Katrice came up and helped us out. My buddy got a Sprite, and I got a Diet Coke, and a water bc I cannot handle the altitude. She offered to put them in to-go cups, and I thought she was so helpful that I asked if she would be walking around the gaming area. She said she would. We got started here, playing a LOT of games. I like the ones where you push coins to get collection cards. Basically we stayed over our time limit we set walking in, but it was fun! Katrice, true to her word- came by and checked on us. By then, I felt like we were ok and didn't want to bug her with a refill ask, even though I knew she'd have done it no questions asked. The only negative I have is that I couldn't find a garbage can on the floor of the gaming area. Not sure if that's by design- but I basically left my cups on a random table next to a game. It felt weird to do so, but I had no options besides going into the bathroom and I didn't want to do that. Anyway, from a parking, gaming, and service standpoint this spot is great! She was very interested, and then I was very sick with a high fever and couldn't go right away. She sent me an email and said after further review, I wasn't a "fit." I truly believe there is some discrimination, but I am not sure what it was whether she just changed her mind for no reason or made an otherwise unfair decision. I can't think of any reason they wouldn't want to rent and no excuse was given. Very disappointed in the unprofessionalism.

Black Buzzard is conveniently located on major bus routes into downtown, so we took the bus from the Berkeley neighborhood and walked less than a block to the venue. We were a bit early for doors, so we grabbed a couple of stools at Oskar Blues for a beer before the show. Pro Tip: Although the beverage selection is the same at Oskar Blues & Black Buzzard, you must open separate tabs at each. Black Buzzard has a mix of high top tables and standing space for live music. We had a rather charmed experience. The show was extremely undersold. So, there was plenty of space. And, the band members were super friendly and hung out with us before the show. The bands were fantastic and we had a wonderful time jamming out. Unfortunately, the stage is not very high, so sightlines at a sold out show will not be ideal for short folks like me.
