My Food tour meeting point was here and I thought this would be the first stop but not so. I…read moreenjoyed my Cafe con Leche before the Tour though. Decided to come back the next evening based on the menu selections and the service from having my Al fresco coffee. A good sized interior with a display case showing some enticing fresh veggies. I decided to sit outside again although it was cool-they do have heat lamps which worked well for the cool evening. Complimentary Green Olives went well with my glass of Verdejo (Jose Pariente). Delicious and one of my favorite Spanish Varietals. So many tempting options on the menu and asked for recommendations. Started with the Scamorza cheese and Aubergine Croquettes-cheese was decadent and the Aubergine Croquette was a first -enjoyed both. I was asked if I was sure if I had enough room when I ordered the Spicy Bombs-how could I not try this one-didn't disappoint with the Chipotle Mayo giving it just the right kick. For main, it was Galacian Octopus Tempura. Octopus Galacian style is one of my favorite dishes but never had it as Tempura. Taste was delicious but Octopus was slightly overcooked. Didn't need dessert but based on the description of the Chocolate cake, had to try. More of a chocolate pie vs cake-unique and tasty. Service was exceptional throughout. Had an amazing meal of small plates here. Make this stop for their Spicy Bombs, Croquettes and outdoor atmosphere.

If you like to drink, the Jamison pours are heavy. It's very affordable for the quality. Cons: -The menu rotates quite a bit so items I had before and on this trip aren't on the current menu so I can't list what I had. My food recommendations will be short. -I would lean away from the Asian inspired dishes. While not bad, it's far from their best. Pros: In general, most of their dishes have a twist so part of the fun is trying things. But my must-have item has always been on the menu. It's... -Pan Cristal con Pimientos Asados y Anchoas de Santoña aka Crystal Bread with Roasted Peppers and Anchovies from Santoña They've changed it from toast to a thin crispy cracker. I'd still try it. Super umami! Maybe a touch too salty but it was so good I just didn't care. The roasted pepper melts in your mouth and don't fear the anchovy, this was amazing. -Patatas bravas Catalina - A classic done well, no disappointments here. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is nice without being pretentious. Alberto still works there as the manager! While he didn't remember me I remembered him and he was nice as ever.
