Although I have excellent credit scores, refinancing a mortgage can sometimes prove challenging…read more In tough economic times, I was upside down on my Las Olas condo in downtown Fort Lauderdale, but times finally changed for the better. Having been referred by my friend Randy to Marc Halpern at Halpern & Associates on Miami Beach, the mortgage refinance process proved a lot less daunting. Marc was professional and made sure I had his cell number in the event that I had questions or concerns. Not only dealing with Marc, I had the opportunity to speak with Ralph and Elizabeth on numerous occasions. The paperwork process seemed never ending and much more than I remember from past purchases, but Ralph and Elizabeth always had an answer to questions and walked me through the process flawlessly. I probably spoke to Marc 20 times during the mortgage process and had not a single problem or issue. Lot's of paperwork, but I was quickly advised that "times have changed." After everything was said and done, I was happy with the terms and conditions of my mortgage loan, the interest rate, and - of course - the extra cash in my pocket. Traffic from Fort Lauderdale to Marc's office proved challenging but that wasn't his fault. On the two occasions that I make the ride south, I drove around for an hour "to bring back memories" from a time so long ago. Having grown up in South Dade, I was a frequent visitor to Miami Beach back in the '80's and early '90's. Following Hurricane Andrew, I moved north to Broward County. Five stars to Marc Halpern and his staff at Halpern & Associates. Bill Lewis Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Well a friend told me to check this place out and I am so glad I did. Throughout the whole process, the owner was very customer service oriented. When I say that, I mean he was able to take phone calls all throughout the day and after hours. He always ensures I don't have any lingering questions, and he offered me the best rate I was able to find. Compared to other stores that have office hours, whether it be me just being anxious, or I have a quick question, they will answer at any time. I even called him with a question when I was out of country and he still took the time to answer my mortgage question. Very professional and made the whole process easy for me. I secured a VA mortgage for a home from him so I can rent out, but I found out he also does land, construction, and even conventional loans. All at a competitive rate. It got my vote not from just the services offered, but customer service was key, and I feel that is a very important thing to offer when it comes to big money investments like these. I'll definitely be coming back here for more loan services in Miami.

Alex runs an exceptional business and has a great team by his side. Luis was there for us every time we had a question (which was a lot because we were first time homebuyers lol) he is very thorough and always on top of everything. He stayed in constant communication with all parties involved, our realtor, title company, bank, everyone. Luis is very skilled and would provide us with accurate numbers, which is very important when looking at closing cost estimates, insurance quotes, etc.. most lenders will deceive you in that aspect, but that was never the case. He worked his very best to get us Insurance quotes and all the help that we needed. We have recommended Luis and Alex to friends from work and a family member. They truly took great care of us and even showed up to our closing which we did not expect at all and we're so happy to meet in person. We could not have asked for a better experience and team to have for one of the most important decisions of our lives! Thank you so much again Luis and Alex! Tiffany & Oscar
