The new med spa's licensed physician explained that my tattoo looked as though I had only undergone one session, not five. She also told me the treatments at Enid Live Well were scheduled far too frequently. Dr Vicki had advised me to return every two weeks or once a month, but proper tattoo removal requires at least eight weeks between sessions for the skin to heal. Because of this rushed schedule, I was warned that I may now face potential skin damage.

First off the reception center has no confidentiality and is choatic. Every time I went it was the same treatments which didn't work. Soon as you get called back, they put you in a massage chair and hook you up to a tens unit. I seemed to always get the broken massage chair. After about 20 min or so, they would put me in a treatment room. The asst would use a massager for about 5 min. Then the chiropractor would come into the room. At no time did she examine my back or shoulders. She would right away "try" to pop my back. After a few attempts...then I was ready to go. She had me try and pay for a massage twice and once an acupuncture treatment. Never noticed any changes. The massage was good but I never noticed any change after the acupuncture. My husband and I now see a different chiropractor and find his services to be wonderful.

I've been to three treatments so far, and as of this week, I've started to catch whiffs of things, which is wild work. (What magic is this?!) Dr. Gumman is a compassionate caretaker. What I appreciate about him most is I'm an outspoken skeptic - even when my therapist recommended the treatment, I told her it sounded woo-woo and unrealistic. I met Dr. Gumman with the same amount of skepticism, and he's met each question I have with both science and evidence, which I sincerely appreciate. Everyone else in the office is warm, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. They always greet me kindly and never seem in a hurry or rush or like they're just pushing clients through as fast as they can. I enjoy the very welcoming atmosphere. Though I've just had my first appointment here, I thought it was so great, I wanted to review it…read more To me, the idea of taking a bunch of medicine to feel better seems silly, compared to a little bit of preventative care. Since my diet looks only slightly better than Guy Fieri's, I thought that would be the best place to start. Just after the new year I booked a nutritional consultation with my friendly local Eastern Medicine Practitioner. He really is friendly. I appreciated that he didn't chastise me when I confessed my sins of food, drink, exercise (or lack thereof). He didn't lecture me or scowl, or anything, (though I'm sure his inner monologue had to be tsk-tsk-tsking all the way.) He just asked me a lot of questions, first via a questionnaire, then in person. He looked at my tongue, took my pulse, and provided me with some basic pointers on better nutrition based on my specific issues. I left with guidelines of some foods to cut back on. Some were no surprise, like the fried stuffs and the boozy things. Some were a surprise. Turns out raw vegetables and roughage are pretty hard on someone with my specific concerns. So something I've been trying to add more of is actually not a good call for me, at least not in big doses. Bonus, I'm to add more soups, and easily digestible grains such as noodles. I love noodles! I was impressed by the fact that I left with nothing but a personalized directive on how to change my diet. I feared he might try and sell me twenty-two types of supplements, a juicer, and sign me up for my next ten appointments. It was honestly kind of the opposite. He didn't recommend any herbs or supplements, and I had to ask him when he thought I should come back. His answer was even holistic: I'm to come back if and when I've taken his advice, changed up my diet, and am ready to take the next step towards a lifetime of health. Solid. If you go: These offices are in executive suites, as this practitioner only has a small office. Just follow the address and suite number, and if there is no one at the desk when you arrive at the suite, don't worry. He knows you have an appointment and will come out and greet you at the appointed time. When I arrived, it looked as though the receptionist had been beamed up, but not to worry, my appointment began right on time.

I had these problems for over two years and had seen several doctors. Some told me there was nothing wrong, I would have to live with these issues. Finally one doctor told me that I had ovarian cysts and pmdd. I was given a prescription that made me fell so drugged that I did nothing but sleep, and I soon realized that my memory was being affected. I cancelled all future appointments and stopped taking the prescription. I tried seeing a different doctor, but still was not seeing results from these efforts. Again after several months of struggle I found myself being referred to Gardner by a trusted friend. Within only a few sessions my symptoms were lessening, my cycle was becoming more regular. Sticking to the diet, two supplements and acupuncture appointments have not only relieved all of the above issues, but have relieved the pain in my ankles from old injuries. Now I feel energized and happy, like my old self. For those of you who may feel that doctors are not trying to help, or have given up completely on finding help. I say never give up, keep searching. I am a true believer in eastern medicine, and I am thankful everyday for the healing I have received.
