Amazing views. Very good food. Gave it 5 relative to all other places in Tekapo but it's probably a 4.5 overall. Came here 2x in the 2 days we were at the Lake. Dinner: steak leans on being over cooked. We asked for medium rare and it came medium. Kumara fries were better than regular potato. Shrimp tempura was excellent. Juicy yet crispy. The burger was great though but still on the over cooked side Lunch: this put me over the edge. Got the steak sandwich which was so large and stuffed full of goodness (thick bacon, a whole lot of vegetables, Swiss cheese). The sauce drizzled over it was unbelievable too - not just jus de steak but also blended with sweet and salty spices. Bread was toasted to perfection. You won't have room for dinner because you'll try so hard to eat it all. You also may want a fork and knife to dissect carefully. Service: very attentive. Our waitress gave us tips about where to go to stargaze and shared her stargazing app recommendations. She even helped us skip the line to swipe our credit card by bringing a mobile terminal to us.

BBQ Pulled Pork with fries at Reflections, Tekapo, NZ.

I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich which came with fries, and it was delicious! Great bbq sauce, a soft but sturdy bun; I couldn't find fault with it. The fries were pretty good too. I also enjoyed the comfy atmosphere. They have a hearth with couch in the back, along with small tables and a cushioned bench.

Warm, friendly, beautiful location and some of the best food I had on my South Island trip. It was so good I went twice in two days! The first day we went I had the chicken wrap (delicious) with a side of kumara wedges, my friend got the fish & chips and another had a burger. No complaints from any of us. In fact, our plates were pretty much licked clean. The next day I went for the garlic flatbread again with a side of the wedges. Still dreaming about those kumara wedges. So yum. Everything was perfect. Less expensive than other restaurants in town and still fabulous food. I overheard multiple people commenting on how great their meals were. Lots of options, cafe sandwiches, specials, drinks, desserts and free wifi.

Food was ok, but my husband got food poisoning from this place so I would steer clear. Servers were nice but slow service. The food was mediocre. We ordered the salmon and chicken sandwich and pretty sure the pickled veggies with the salmon were what did it.

Good Cafe, Dine. There are some toys for kids, we killed the time until bus departure time here.

    Big brekkie

I've been here a couple times for dinner and breakfast and it's consistently good. The big brekkie is great, the salmon eggs Benedict is great, and they serve filtered (drip) coffee. Also has a great view and good for groups.

Best cafe in Tekapo…read more We stopped by for breakfast all 3 days we were in the area and our flat whites (one regular, one with soy) were consistently great. The muffin flavor rotates daily. We tried the banana caramel, chocolate and Nutella flavors and all were delicious (& not too sweet). The berry French toast is also delicious. We also tried the curried chicken wrap which was tasty, and minced meat pie which was decent. Service is great and staff is friendly. You are given a number if you decide to eat-in and the drinks are brought timely. The food may take awhile, but it's fine since you can sip on your drink in the meantime. Communal tables available with a fair amount of seating. Cute vibe. Lots of parking. Definitely our favorite spot.

We walked thoughts bar side with a lot of people and a commotion going on. We found out it was horse racing. We worked our way to the dining room side where it was not busy and finally someone showed us a table with menus. Our server was very nice but was managing the dining orders plus the bar side. She definitely needed help. We started with shoestring fries and an Apple Cider on tap. I ordered the Beef Cheeks and my husband ordered the Pasta Carbonara as entrees. They were both really good. My beef was so tender that I cleaned my place . I'm glad we hiked today.

Servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient; food came quickly, and the place had a great, social vibe. There's a lively pool table in the bar area. You know it's good when the classy locals hang at the bar (as opposed to the local who's drunk at 1:00pm on a Monday and hitting on the waitress...which we witnessed at another place in Fox). My wife loved that the whole place was warm. Good, free WiFi. And delicious dessert!!
