Effusive, energetic and very very talented, Paula and her Hair Suite gals make getting your hair cut as fun and gossip filled as it's supposed to be. The magazines are new (!) and what's more there's a good selection of trashy and trendy. So you'll have plenty of fashion to flip through as you while away an hour or so chatting with Paula as she expertly trims and styles your hair. Paula is a woman with a plan. Once she gets to know your hair, you may arrive for a trim, but if you happen to fancy a change she'll already have pictures and a whole new look in mind. Paula's consultations are as knowledgeable as they are sensible. You see, she knows I really can't be bothered styling my hair, so she's given me a cut that I only need to hang my head upside-down and blow-dry, and in two minutes it looks fabulous. And when the day comes that I fancy something different, I know Paula will already be two steps ahead of me.

She looked me up and down and addressed me very snotty and told me it wouldn't be for 3 weeks. I told her "never mind " and she replied with "0kaaaay". I walked out and phoned her 60 seconds later and disguised my voice and she offered me an appointment the very next morning. I told her that she's rude and a liar, I was just told that she said 3 weeks later. She waffled and tried to say that she just had a cancellation. nevr again!

Because I went here yesterday, I'm publicly apologising to my mother-in-law, relatives and friends…read more- it was not my intention to arrive at our family gathering and wedding celebration with intense, deep, eggplant purple roots that fade to a horrible plasticine-grey-mauve at the ends (I washed it four times as soon as I left the salon and it's still ridiculously dark and uneven). I thought I was going to have the palest, softest, tasteful, pastel pink or pastel lilac hair. I'm so embarrassed to instead have hair like trailer-park trash at a heavy metal concert - it's not what I asked for or expected but it's what I got at this salon - one of my worst hair experiences ever

Which I totally appreciate when things are a little behind however I have another appointment after this. Atmosphere- While they claimed air conditioning was working, the door had to be kept open so boiling hot with hairdryers on the go and the hot day! Currently a red tomato After visiting the basin 3 separate times to have my colour rinsed in sections all the while sitting back in the chair and water dripped my back. No time for the cut however I totally understood this as much as they tried to rush me through and help. Good colour overall and amazing head massage, always too short however..... Overall, for the brand expectations and expensive price tag (next door is similar and 100 times better) I can't say I'll be returning to Tony&Guy :(
