My grandson received a horrible haircut!!!!…read more Requested style: fade A fade was requested, and a picture was provided to show what the fade should look like. It wasn't until he got home that we realized that a fade wasn't given. Instead, the hair was buzzed very short, up high on the back and sides. There was no fading at all. He was embarrassed to be seen with this cut because it wasn't what he'd asked for, and his friends at school joked and teased him about how bad it looked. His hair is curly on top, and the back part of his perm was cut unevenly. I had to take him to another stylist to even it out and try to salvage the style. Honestly, not much could be done by the second stylist because too much hair was buzzed in the back and sides. Essentially, his hair was buzzed high up in the back and sides. It looks like a military buzz cut, high up in the back and sides, as you would receive in boot camp. With his heavy curls on top, it looks like an uneven bowl cut on top. I'm very disappointed and will never return to or recommend this establishment to anyone. **** I noticed the owner tried to say that this was a Bot post. Sadly, they are trying to dismiss this post as being generated instead of being a genuine post. It was completely constructed in a very unprofessional manner. My 14-year-old grandson, who went to the hair salon alone because my husband just passed away, did not realize how horrible the haircut actually was until he arrived home. Upon his arrival home, I was able to see and show him with a mirror how horrible the haircut was. I then had to make an appointment to pay another stylist at another salon to fix the disaster that the hairstylist at Black Lace Hair Salon created. The hairstylist that we took him to, in order to fix the style and correct the mess that was made, stated that this was one of the top five worst haircuts that they had ever seen. The owner of Black Lace Hair Salon can try to dismiss this post and try to make it out as being a Scam post or a Bot post all that they would like. However, this is a genuine post. All together, when you add up what I paid for the first haircut and then what I paid to have the other stylist to do the best they could to correct the mistakes made, the entire ordeal ended up costing me $80. The haircut he received at this salon negatively affected my grandson's self-esteem, it was a completely unacceptable salon experience. The mature thing would be to accept responsibility for their mistake and move forward responsibly. However, it seems as though they are more concerned with trying to dismiss this legitimate Review and sweep it under the rug. *** (To clarify, in case some were wondering, the Hair Salon knew ahead of time that I was sending my grandson there by himself. I called them to notify them of this, and was told that this was completely fine.) I also wanted to post the pictures of how terrible his haircut ended up being unfortunately I could not figure out how to post the pictures on this platform.

This is the only salon within 50 miles of Lima that uses Bumble & Bumble product. Therefore, I…read moretried it out. Men's cuts are only $15, which always freaks me out. I'm not used to a cut for less than $25. Anyway, I think I spook stylists into giving me less-than-stellar cuts. I mean, I'm the son of a stylist and grew up in salons. I walk in asking for a razor cut, blended, with heft off the top and crown and clean lines without clippers, etc. I'm a PICKY person when it comes to hair. Anyway, my haircut was better than I got at Sport Clips but nowhere near the level of excellence I get at Strange Beauty Show in Chicago. My razor cut was done on dry hair, and I had to ask for a mirror to check the back. I was surprised because the stylist I was assigned has trained at Bumble sessions in New York City. Anyway, if I lived in Celina, I might continue to work with the stylist. But living in Lima, I'm going to stick with my Chicago salon.

I show up to my appointment and I'm told my appointment was changed a month ago and it's now with someone named Alex. I was referred to Tish and waited 6WEEKS to get in and my appointment is mysteriously switched to someone else without communicating with me or asking my approval. They did offer a free cut but there's absolutely no way I would 1)go back to that salon 2) trust anyone to do a good job on my hair after complaining (rightfully). Worst experience with customer service I've ever received! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The front desk was rude to her and said "you don't have an appointment, what do you want me to do about it?". I had an appointment scheduled a couple of days later for a full color and had to flex my time to make my appointment (made weeks in advance). Received a text from the stylist on the day of my appt canceling. When I shared it was inconvenient, she told me it was also inconvenient for her that her baby sitter fell through. Found out later through a client of hers she hasn't had a baby sitter for awhile, so I could've been informed in advance my appt wasn't happening. Highly recommend you don't schedule here if you want respect of your time and consideration that you also have a life going on.

I actually booked my appointment through The Hairline. My mom, sister, and I arrive at what we…read morebelieve is The Hairline salon, but we arents positive because there is no sign on the door. The hair stylist who welcomes us ignores my moms question of whether or not this is The Hairline. I state that I have a noon appointment for The Hairline, and even show the stylist my conversation between The Hairline facebook business page and myself; the conversation is as clear as day, and even names several of the stylists who offered to cut my hair. The stylist at the counter doesn't say anything, just takes my information and goes to find another stylist to do my hair. Obviously, I must be in the right place if theyre taking me, right? RIGHT??? My stylist (I think her name was Terri) was absolutely fantastic. She went with my vague idea of what I wanted, kept as much length as possible while giving me layers to relieve weight of my thick hair. She didn't rinse the shampoo/conditioner off of my scalp as much as I would have liked, but I have insanely thick hair, so I dont hold it against her. 3/4 of the way through my cut, I try to connect to their wifi. Im from Nebraska, so I have no signal in St Marys. Low and behold, the only business wifi to come up is The Fringe. Thats when I discovered I was poached, and I didn't even have service to let The Hairline know it had happened. After my cut and style, I happily paid and tipped Terri, since she was an innocent bystander in this nonsense. To my knowledge, she didn't know I was poached. After I left The Fringe, I eventually found The Hairline and went in to apologize and tip my should-have-been stylist, since I took up her valuable time when she could have had another client. YA'LL. I found out that The Fringe constantly pulls this with clients! They have people come in looking for The Hairline, and won't say that they have the wrong business, and will just steal them! TLDR; The Fringe is an unethical business that knowingly steals another businesses clients. Do not go here. Do not support unethical businesses.
