I took a loved one on Medicaid who couldn't wait any longer for an appointment elsewhere to see Dr…read moreCortes to have three very problematic teeth either filled and or extracted. He would be paid from my $8G Cherry account that they initially suggested be opened for that purpose. After taking only one X-ray he advised that the three bad teeth complained about, but also four other teeth, all be extracted and replaced with partials for $7,100. Or then just replace the three bad teeth with implants for $9,900. When asked what would be done for the additional four extracted teeth, he then said he'd do implants for all seven teeth which seemed absurd. Does that sound plausible? Who has ever heard of any dentist doing seven implants for the price of three? I haven't. It's beyond ridiculous. They went on to emphasize that the gums would eventually shrink with partials and strongly advised to do implants instead which were twice the cost, but nevertheless it should be done NOW without delay. Furthermore he and his secretary/dental assistant stressed to immediately start bone grafts after the extractions and not later making it sound like it was impossible to do grafts in future as commonly does happen. Our experience of just needing treatment for the three bad teeth soon morphed into feeling unduly pressured into doing more dental work while cashing out and exceeding my $8G Cherry account which the secretary/dental assistant seemed overly impressed that I must've had good credit to be approved for that amount. Later after contemplating we cancelled any plans for extractions and implants and asked for a partial refund of the $209.87 for the initial consultation and X-ray and was told they would still charge $175 just for that. We're still waiting on the partial refund of $34.87 and a dental appointment with an available dentist ASAP. They seemed more interested in spending my money than helping the patient in distress.

I have been going to Covenant Family Dentistry for more than 20 years. In the past I would have…read morerated them 5 out of 5 stars. My rating is based upon the quality of treatment I have had in the last two years. The reason why I started going to Covenant Family Dentistry is because they had three experienced dentist. Unfortunately they only have one of the original experienced dentist left and he is said to retire this year. After having my teeth cleaned, I was seen by a dentist who did no cancer screening. When I brought this to the attention of the dental hygienist she apologized but said there was nothing she could do. When I went in for a chipped tooth, the dentist said I would need a crown but that he thought I should have it done by Dr. Zimmerman because he wasn't planning on staying with the practice very long. He made it clear to me twice that he wasn't interested in doing the crown but then the dental assistant talked him into it. Needless to say, I don't have much confidence in his abilities to do the crown correctly after twice, saying he didn't want to do it. The receptionist did tell me that they hoped to get some good dentist in the future and I hope they do find some good dentist to work for the practice, but in the meantime I need to be seen by experienced dentists that do good work.
