While recliners in modern theaters are preferable to what they have here, I never like choosing my seat from a diagram at the box office. At Reel Cinema sit where you want, which is good for people like me who inevitably try a few rows before finding my optimum place. (BTW, the auditorium is very big, so it's unlikely they'd ever have a packed house. Stadium seating, too -- though the seats where I was weren't properly staggered.) The theater is a block away from Narberth's main drag. Definitely feels a little dated. But I don't care. Nostalgia! Plus -- while I don't know the going rate for popcorn -- I think it's less here. $6 and $7. read more

This place is decent. Prices are comparable to AMC (2 senior and 1 adult tickets were about $33 on a weekend). Popcorn prices are good; a large gallon bag cost $7 but refills are $3. They have a station where you can dispense the *buttery topping* as much as you please. The flavor of the popcorn and fake butter isn't quite as good as AMC's, but they're still pretty comparable. Their seats could use an upgrade since they feel a little cramped. And, like another review mentioned, you can only get neck/head support if you lean far back. I couldn't feel fully relaxed because of the seat and having people on either side of me. Screen resolution's good, and the speakers are more than loud enough. Like with any movie theater, I always think the volume could be taken down a few notches. For anyone with auditory sensitivity, I recommend bringing earplugs. The AC is pretty strong. If you tend to get chilly easily, bringing a jacket wouldn't be a bad idea. read more

This is a small local theater with two screens. The movie quality is good, snacks are reasonably priced. Seats are comfy but not quite comfortable. You have to put your head way back to get any neck support. I would come here again just not on a weekend night. There were a ton of middle school age kids who were extremely loud before the movie. They were pretty good during the movie except for when they had to go out of the theater then they chose to pound down the steps which was really distracting during the movie. Parking around here isn't the greatest but we chose to uber so we didn't have that issue. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are actually quite a lot of places to eat nearby so we were easily able to grab a bite before the movie. read more

while it does kind of suck that they cut it in half to make room for a second movie theater (Narberth Movie Theater used to be one of the oldest full scale sized single theater movie complexes and was only changed just recently) it is kind of a good thing in a way. toward the end of being a full scale cinema the place was really starting to look neglected and out of shape. so now it's a two theater cinema that maintains a lot of it's old character. for a movie theater the tickets and concessions also aren't that expensive. so you can see a big budget Hollywood film for a pretty good deal. and there are a good amount of restaurants and bars around it to add onto the evening. read more

Here's my story, you decide: The SG and one of his sons went to the 10:30pm showing of Batman on Friday night. 10 minutes to the end, the film suddenly ends. No one knows whats up nor does anyone from the theatre make any sort of announcement or come into the theatre. The audience is stunned. Nothing happens nor does the movie restart. Stumbling out into the lobby, now at almost 1am, the SG is told by the teenger working , in fact the only representative of the movie theatre on the premises at all, that the film broke, there are no refunds, and to come back another night to see the film again- if one still has stubs, they can get in for free. I think it's a well-established fact that Narberth is the "cutest" town on the Main Line. That said, this movie theater is living proof. From the outside, it seems kind of quaint in a vintage sort of way, which holds true when you walk inside as well. However, the actual theatre rooms are like any other modern theatre rooms you would expect. Additionally, there are only four movies being screened at any given time, so you have to hope your top choice is playing. The price is a bit outrageous, but that's to be expected for the Main Line. Sure, it's just as easy to wait for movies to stream online these days, but you're paying for the experience! What's a trip to the movies without popcorn, right? I actually really like this movie theater and love to come with my friends every once in awhile. There are lots of cozy restaurants and bars nearby so it's easy to make a dinner-movie-drinks night possible. Parking is effortless as well. read more

This theater is in a quaint little town that is fun to walk around in before/after the movie. Parking was a little but of an issue as there was a 2 hour parking limit at the meters and most movies (including previews) are longer than 2 hours The theater is small and only plays two features at a time, so it is very selective.\ It is nice if you want to avoid the normal, large, crowd associated with larger theaters. This small local theater has everything you need for a nice afternoon at the movies: tickets available to purchase in fandango (though not assigned seating), reasonably priced popcorn/snacks, large comfortable seats, friendly staff. It's also incredibly walkable (just around the corner from Narberth's town center). Although we live in walking distance of the Narberth we won't go to the theater for several reasons: 1. The screens are much smaller than at your typical multi-plex 2. Ticket prices are higher than at your typical mutli-plex. I'm all for supporting locally owned businesses however not when they sacrifice quality. If the Narberth had independent films as they did when I was growing up that would be a different story, I'd be happy to give them business. However the majority of movies that come here are kids movies and big releases which you could see anywhere. Save a few bucks and see these types of movie the way they were meant to be seen. read more

This is a delightful movie theatre! Even though it's small, the two theaters are spacious and have very comfortable seats. They usually show pretty recent films and have a good mixup month to month of adult and kids movies. The ticket prices aren't bad either -- it was $14 for an adult ticket. From the outside it looks like this little old theatre even when you walk in to buy your tickets they have one booth with one rep. The whole place looks like you've walked into a theatre from the 1960's. They have 4 movies showing at a time. Once you walk into the actual theatre though it's a completely different story. It looks just like an AMC with the theatre still seating and large screen . The price is average for a ticket $11.50 if I was ever in the area again I would defiantly come back ! read more

Ticket prices seem steep, as they are the same as a Regal cinemas which offers a much larger selection of snacks and movies - but the little guy has to make it somehow! Movie selection changes quite often but there usually is one adult movie/one kid movie on the bill. I visited the theater on President's Day with my daughters. The movie started at 1:10pm, we arrived at 12:45pm. I ordered popcorn, drinks, hot dogs, etc. I was told the three hot dogs are not ready but they will bring them to the theater when they are done cooking. This was approximately 12:50pm. After the movie started I went back to the concession stand at 1:30pm, and hot dogs still are not ready. No problem, patience is an acquired skill. I visited the concession stand again at 2pm, this time only 2 hot dogs are ready. Amazing! It takes an hour to prepare 2 hot dogs. Good customer service would dictate that at this point the hot dogs would be free, not at this theater. Not only was I charged but when I asked for a refill on our popcorn, I was told it would cost $3. Poor customer service is an understatement in this scenario. To top it all off the theater was cold and never warmed up the entire movie. This theater is not worth the effort and obviously does not appreciate patronage. We purchased 4 tickets and spent $40 at the concession stand. Unacceptable service. read more

This was a very nice movie theatre in a quaint town. There is stadium seating and the seats are very comfortable and it is never overly crowded any time I've been here. The surround sound is really good too. The only issue with this theatre is that it is small and only has 2 screens with not many movie selections. Love this place! As a local this will be my spot for flicks! We're not the couple that goes to a ton of movies but when we do it's the big action blockbusters because a giant dinosaur needs to be a giant dinosaur! Ticket prices are maybe a tad high but I can walk here and not deal with traffic, or parking issues! Love the stadium seating, concessions are standard, wish It had a better sound system but that's just niggling. Okay but small theater. Great central location. This place can be noisy with lots of families with little kids and a bunch of teenage kids but if you pick your show times it isn't so bad. I love the movies and this is my go to movie theatre. It only has two screens but there is stadium seating that is quite comfortable. The sound quality is good and it's clean and well kept. Not falling apart like other nearby theaters. Typically plays the most recent releases and if you've for kids it's a good spot. Matinees are more inexpensive so it's a good value too. read more

Sound system is awful. and I have excellent hearing. I went to The Dark Knight Rises and missed 50% of the dialogue because of the sound system. The music was soooooo much louder than the dialogue, we missed most of key plot points/lines. And I'm not even just talking about Bane. Yes, he was also hard to understand at times, but if the music was playing (especially during the action scenes), it was impossible to hear anyone at all. All you heard was the BLARING, BOOMING music. And it wasn't just us that had this complaint. I asked several other people in the theater if they had the same problem and they all said yes. I asked my friends if they had the same problem at the theaters they went to and they all said no, so it is not a problem with the movie itself; it is a problem with this theater. I wanted to complain to the manager or get my money back, but there were only teenagers working there and couldn't do anything. Now, i'm going to have to pay to see this movie again, but in a different theater, just so I can understand what the hell the movie was about. read more

The theater is OK for a neighborhood theater, there aren't many still around but this area has Bala theater also. Ticket prices are comparable to multiplexes but concessions are a little cheaper. There is a pizza place and a Chinese place close by for a quick meal. And though parking is hard to find around here , the meters are free after 6pm. read more

I loved this place. Maybe its because I'm a nostailgic kind of person but it was nice to go to a movie theater tucked on a main street in a small town atmosphere as opposed to the typical "Megaplex 32" or what have you. I went on a wednesday night and parking right on the street was easy with no meters. I was surprised by how comfortable the seats were in the theater. It has the old fashioned location and style on the outside in the lobby but the comfort of the new lounge back seats inside. After the movie we strolled around the boro all within 2 blocks from the theater and ended upn this Irish bar McSheas. That was another treat. I plan to give them a great review as well. read more

No refund policy - movie was oversold as evidence of the number of people complaining about no seats (and no, my husband and I don't need to sit together). We were given vouchers we would never be able to use - young parents without the luxury of unlimited time to get to the movies and the one movie I wanted to see only ran for 2 weeks there. I have many fond memories of going to this theater as a kid. However, the policy is too risky for me to return because at $23 for two, it's just too expensive to risk another oversold showing (even with sitting apart from my spouse, which I am fine with). Also, the inside always feels dingy and musty like it needs a deep clean. I am glad there's a walkable theater in narberth for so many folks. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for us. I've been told you can get a refund if you purchase via fandango, FYI. Buyer beware, however, if the movies are a special trip for you or you're from out of town. read more

I went to see Star Trek on its opening night at Narberth. I was surprised that tickets could be purchased online considering the size of the theater. The seats were comfortable, the line moved quickly and the quality of the screen and sound were good. It's not a technologically groundbreaking theater, but it is enough for any film to be entertaining there. The prices were also good, average at least. I didn't have any food or drink so the quality of that is unknown. read more

One of my favorite places to visit in town, it is a fun experience and is great to go with some friends the snack and popcorn selection are bodacious (very good) it is a little overpriced but for the experience it is worth and compared to buying the movie on demand or on the App Store, Amazon store, and other online places where you can buy movie it is only 1 or 2 dollars more.
