Whomever owns Mr. D Apartments (Carr) is the MOST greedy and unsympathetic human I've rented from…read morein my 20+ years of renting as an adult. I highly advise against it. If you fall upon tough times, there will be NO sympathy and/or flexibility. They'll say it's all because of "Fair Housing," while advertising a promotion for two free months of rent for anyone who signs a year lease. Well I signed a year lease and didn't get two free months of rent, and they were quick to try to evict me over two weeks late rent. Then when I attempted to pay, they REFUSED to provide me any proof of making said payment. How is this in accordance with Fair Housing? Oh, and I was told I could have en extra day to move out at the end of my lease, but no one told me I'd be charged extra for this. I was specifically told that this wouldn't be an inconvenience in any way, shape, or form, and I left the place in excellent condition. I was even told that I did. But yet they decided to steal this daily amount from me and now they are too greedy to give it back. It's only $43 to you but it's food for my pets and myself! Disgusting! I was an exemplary tenant aside from the hardship. I was polite with neighbors, I was respectful and quiet, and super clean. But they don't give a crap. Just research MR D Apartments and you'll see some appalling reviews from ex employees. On top of all of this, I found out that another tenant who had the same exact apartment as me (two bedroom and one bath) was paying nearly $400 more than me! Fair Housing you say??? It's all BS. Greedy greedy greedy.

The smell of sewer has rendered the master bath and master bedroom unusable for the first ten days of living here. When we complained they escalated us to the regional manager who called to yell at me because I wanted a licensed plumber to come out and fix it. He then followed up by telling me that my husband was not allowed to be present when the plumber arrived and proceeded to tell me that my husband "verbally assaulted" the last plumber and threw him out of the apartment. I contacted that company and they told me nothing of the sort happened and that the guy who came out wasn't comfortable fixing the issue because he was NOT a licensed plumber and felt a license plumber should do the job. The regional manager hung up on me on Friday after telling me that moving into an apartment that had not been cleaned (filthy) and having only half of the apartment functioning was on me? He offered to knock $100 off the rent for the lack of cleaning (food crumbs were still in all of the drawers and cabinets and the floor turned my baby's feet black). He refused any sort of assistance on the fact that I have spent the first week and a half here without being able to use the master bathroom or bedroom. My husband and I are sleeping on the couch because of their unwillingness to fix the toilet properly. They have a very nice property manager who apparently doesn't have much choice in what he is allowed to do. Also have a super nice maintenance guy who is in over his head and their Regional Manager would rather scream "I'll let you out of your lease" than say "I'm sorry all of this is going on. We will make it right by you" Update as of today: Plumber came out today to fix the toilet. I wrote this same review on Facebook and they had it removed. Still no screens in the windows. Still no fixed sink faucet. The neighbors are great so far and I like the ducks... that's about it. I will update the Derby Village Saga as it occurs.

In regards to Clover Group King's Pointe Senior Apartments in Sylvania, Ohio, the shoddy…read moreconstruction is quite apparent, as is the poor quality of materials used. There are uneven walls throughout the entire complex and uneven creaking floors on the second and third levels. The doors and their frames have been improperly installed, being out of square with the walls. There is an unbelievable number of building blemishes and defects. Several units have shower stalls that do not drain properly, resulting in standing water in the shower stalls. The large center courtyard lawn is abundantly full of stones, construction debris, and weeds. Several areas of the center courtyard are below sewer grade resulting in standing water after rainfalls and after having been watered with hose sprinklers (there is no in-ground sprinkling system) creating breeding grounds for mosquitoes. The corporate Clover Group Management does not answer telephone calls; instead, their automatic answering system instructs callers to leave the caller's name and telephone number. Management is unresponsive more often than not. The property manager at King's Pointe Senior Apartments has posted an unsigned 8 1/2" x 11" poster on regular bond paper with the Clover insignia stating "All Community Posting must be approved by Management." The property manager is frequently out of the office and telephone calls to her go into voicemail. She does not always follow through on matters brought to her attention and has failed to get back to residents on other matters. Professional demeanor seems lacking in the King's Pointe Senior Apartments 25 year-old property manager. The property manager has also initiated a "residents activity fund" with proceeds from a residents bake sale. There has been no residents meeting to discuss the so-called activity fund; and, there has been no statement issued as to precisely on what the activity fund is to be spent. When the property manager was asked if she is bonded, she stated did not know the meaning of the word bonded. There appears to be no accountability for the residents activity fund; there are no ledgers, no revenue records, no expenditure records, and no balance sheets
