This was an amazing experience from booking an appointment, communication before appointment,…read moreactual appointment and then after! I emailed on a weekend, asking about pricing. They emailed me back first thing Monday morning, providing information. They followed up with a text to see if I wanted to move forward and when I said yes they called. I was able to get in next day! The evening before I set up my portal account and sent my pups records. On appt day, we were greeted so warmly, like they already knew us, and placed us into a private room. I had a nice chat with a vet tech while she asked questions, and 5 mins later we were with the Dr! He sat on the floor with my nervous pup, got to know us and then took her back for assessment. He avoided intrusive procedures, rather offering less expensive alternatives and gave an over all heath assessment. They checked me out and the cost was very reasonable. While on my way home, they texted lab results that my pup was healthy and good to go! I am so happy I found Hess Ridge. You can tell they love what they do and care to build relationships with you and your fur baby.

Dr. Todd was quick to respond and took great care of my pet. I felt confident in the diagnosis and left with the meds we needed so no need to go to a separate pharmacy. They called the next morning to check in on ho my pet was doing. I didn't feel like they were that much more expensive than my regular vet either. Definitely worth the minimal extra expense though because of the convenience and good quality care. My regular vet couldn't get us on for two weeks so she actually recommended we go to the Urgent Vet and I'm glad she did. We are lucky to have this clinic in Parker. Highly recommend!

I took my dog to Urgent Vet in Parker on a Friday after hours because his regular veterinarian was…read moreclosed. He had a broken foot, and his splint had slipped and was rubbing against his leg, causing a wound. The staff were very nice and compassionate, and I appreciated being able to get him seen when our regular vet was unavailable. Unfortunately, the biggest problem with this visit became very apparent around midnight. My dog suddenly started crying, panting, and chewing at his bandage. He NEVER chews on his bandage, so I knew something was seriously wrong. I tried everything I could to calm him, but the only thing that finally settled him was when I removed the outer Vet Wrap and sticky tape. It was extremely tight and apparently causing him a tremendous amount of pain. I was very upset that after taking him in to get help, he ended up in such obvious distress that I had to remove part of the bandage myself in the middle of the night. The next morning, Saturday, I took him to my regular veterinarian, who redid the bandage. He has been fine ever since. This made the entire Urgent Vet visit feel like a complete waste of time, money, and, most importantly, caused my dog unnecessary pain and distress. The cost was also extremely high, even considering that this was after-hours care. I was charged approximately $117 for the wrap, compared with about $40 at my regular veterinarian, plus approximately $125 for the veterinarian to examine him. I understand that urgent care costs more, but those prices seemed excessive for what was done. I also requested an email copy of my receipt and the veterinarian's notes, but I never received them. The staff were nice, but kindness alone doesn't make up for the fact that my dog was left with a bandage that was so tight he was crying and panting in pain, only to have his regular vet redo it the next morning. Between the unnecessary pain my dog experienced, the excessive cost, and not receiving the records I requested, I was extremely disappointed with this experience. I would think very carefully before returning to this location.

An over-reaching media release policy, failure to release complete lab reports, prescriptions pick up policies designed to discourage owners from filling at less expensive providers, high mark ups on in-clinic and mail order drugs and selling high quantities of medications before knowing if a pet will tolerate them are just unacceptable. More serious clinical errors and omissions have piled up that are more than annoying. The failures of VC Parker are consistent and systemic: veterinarians do not communicate with owners, techs do not read charts, medication errors occur, prescriptions are priced at exorbitant markups, follow up is inadequate and administrative tasks are neglected resulting in delays in care. After four years at VC Parker (for three dogs), we have serious concerns about the quality of care and will be seeking care elsewhere.

Made an apt in advance for 4:45pm, showed up at 4:30. Staff was inundated with customers but still very helpful. Didn't get into the patient room till 5pm. Sat there for about 10 minutes but had to wrangle my puppy the entire time because the room was NOT puppy proof! Had wires hanging from the desk setup. Could hear every conversation between staff through the walls (very unsettling!) When Dr. Spiro walked in, he immediately sat at the desk and seemed irritated/fidgety on his laptop. No intro, I only know his name from my invoice paperwork. Threw some treats on the floor, not even asking me if it was ok (puppy has had restricted diet to see if he has any allergies). Told me to put my pup on the desk, you can see the small size of it in other reviews, and maybe! did a 30-45 second look. Gave my puppy a shot and something in his mouth, didn't tell me what they were. Asked what brand of food I've been feeding him and said ok, bring him back next month and packed his things up and left. Spent 25 minutes waiting for a 5 minute whatever that was still not knowing his name, what he gave my dog or why/what to come back for next month? I checked out at the counter and won't be going back.

Our dog woke up with an awful eye issue and we knew we couldn't wait for our regular vet on Monday. I called several emergency vets that I found on Yelp and this place said that they had no current wait for emergency patients and they had two vets on staff today. She encouraged me to head right in so I did. We were there in about 10 minutes and they took my pup's weight and vitals right away - a great sign. However, we then waited 90 minutes in an animal-crowded waiting room to see a doctor. For 45 of those 90 minutes there was a very loud scary dog in the waiting room that everyone was trying to avoid. Not the dog's fault - he/she was just scared. But the front desk staff and the other staff did nothing to remove the dog and put the dog in an exam room, despite having multiple exam rooms open at the time. It was a miserable 90 minutes, trying to keep my dog calm and comfortable, knowing we could have been at any of the other vets that had said they had a 30-60 minutes wait. I get it - this is a vet that sees regular patients that had scheduled appointments. That's totally appropriate but then don't tell people on the phone that there's no wait. And don't pack in a bunch of pets that are struggling to be around each other with tons of open exam rooms. The vet I spoke with was very nice and knowledgeable but I didn't get to be with my dog for the exam because by then they'd run out of exam rooms. It's hard to let them take your dog back when you don't know them and your dog doesn't know them. All in all, a bummer of an experience. I'm sure it's a place people enjoy for regular pet vet needs, but trust me - don't use it for emergencies.

Unfortunately, when my wife picked the dog up later that day, she was told the procedure would cost over $1500. Without a signed estimate, which Banfield should have provided to me at drop off, they simply refused to acknowledge the discrepancy between the earlier quote, plus the earlier phone call with the Vet. Without a signed quote at drop off there is nothing stopping them from jacking up the price and holding our dog hostage until we paid the much higher amount. I know medical procedures can uncover additional medical issues, but the phone call with the Vet proved this wasn't the case this time. They claimed I misheard the quote , but I had two teenage kids with me and both independently said the vet quoted $1050 when I asked if they remembered the quoted cost. Be careful with Banfield. Make sure, at the very least, to get a signed quote up front before any procedures.
