I walked over to the shop and upon approaching the shop. I noticed that there was no one waiting and only one man getting a haircut. I walk in and the Barber looks at me and says can I help you? I say yeah, I'd like a haircut, he says oh, I got to go do something and then get something to eat. I'll be back in about 20 min. if you want to wait I'll get you then. I ask him do you have to make an appointment here? He says no, but if you walk in. I'm just telling you how it is. Well okay then, I got the message. This sounds to me, that he doesn't want the business or has better things to do than cut hair. So anyway, I left and went down to Moxham and got right in and received a nice haircut for a good price. I will never return to Andolina's Barbershop again!

Knowing this I had attempted to get myself in for a haircut/beard trim for a hot minute at surrounding places with no luck. I did a search in Johnstown and this one came up. I had also heard about it through a friend so word of mouth did it's best part. It was the day before I was to leave town and I showed up here shortly after they opened. The reason I did this was that their website said walk-ins welcomed. When I got there, the window stated that you needed an appointment. So I walked back to my car and called the number. The guy inside said that walk-ins were still welcome and that I could come in. Go in, tell him what I want, a fade up (don't touch the top) and beard trim. He went to doing his thing and before I knew it he was done. Throughout the cut and trim he made idle chitchat with me and I was able to take in my surroundings as well. They are all about hometown pride here. Everywhere you look you see something Johnstown. They also pay homage from where they came from as well. It's a family business from what I got and they were totally professional. An oops on my part. I paid with a card and am used to adding a tip. Here, you need to let them know before they run your card if you were wanting to leave a tip.

One can make a reservation for a cut but generally it's a walk in shop where one can sit and enjoy lively discussion while waiting for a cut or read the days newspaper or a magazine which they have on hand. I've been going here for over years and have never gotten a bad haircut. Just tell them how ya want it and that how they cut it.
