I bought Blue Moon Belgian White Wheat Ale Beer - 12pk/12 fl oz Bottles and Cigar City Jai Alai Variety Pack - 12pk/12 fl oz Can yesterday. I was charged $57.20. The person on the counter had already charged my card by the time I noticed the price, and when I asked he said that Jai Alai was very good beer. I didn't know so kept quiet because I was in a rush. For Blue moon I was charged 22.49 and for Jail Ali it is 29.99. Rest was tax. I can live by Blue Moon price even though it was few dollars more than everywhere else but Jai Alia, you can get it for $19.99 and I was charged $29.99. I was hoping it was a mistake but did a quick search and found this Yelp reviews and others also seem to have been similarly overcharged. read more

Located in the Red Mill Shopping Center, Derwood Beer and Wine offers a good selection of beer and wine. Prices are reasonable and comparable to other similar stores in the area. I like how they always have some specials going on (e.g., 10% off 6 bottles of wine and FB specials). You also can't miss the sale rack of wines when you enter into the store. Staff is friendly and informative, with recommendations being given if asked for. They also offer delivery, which is a huge plus, especially if you are too busy or lazy. Parking is plentiful, but could sometimes be a pain since people do not know how to park within the lines. Also beware of drivers who speed through the parking lot. read more

This place is awful. Rude owner and his hired staff stays on the phone when he should be giving the customer preference. I responded to a customer there, who asked a question and the owner told me not to talk to his customer. Rude and the place is very dusty around the counter and lottery. I stopped in last Thursday to pick up a 12 pack of Belles Two Hearted Ale and a box of sangria. It was rainy and I was in a bit of a hurry. The person behind the cash register was on the phone and never offered any help. When I went to check out I asked if they had boxes of sangria and was told if it wasn't on the shelf they didn't. He also asked if I needed a receipt. I said no. (Obviously a big mistake.) I now see on my credit card I was charged $28.33 for the 12 pack of Belles. It's my own stupid mistake for not reading carefully before I signed. Also, from now on I will always ask for a receipt. My own stupidity but I won't be back! read more

This store is great! The owner Jay offers discounts when you purchase a certain amount. It's much cheaper than the state store at Fallsgrove near My work. Plus, he special ordered high end champagne for a wedding I was attending just for me! Such great service and competitive prices! It's a win win read more

Red mill beer and wine isn't so bad. Their wine selection is pretty cool and very impressive. Although it is a very small store, they still managed to make the place look presentable. Sad to say that I only came in to buy a quick box of Razberitas since I was in a rush. Next time I'll make sure to pick out a couple wine bottles for summer :) The cashier was very cool and humble and that just won me over.bfriendly staff is always a must! *If there is one thing that disappoints me.. is the fact that they do not have any chilled/cooled wine bottles in the freezer for those who are on the go and/or need it chilled. They suck. I've been going here for a few years because it's on my way home from work. The guy always complains when you pay with a credit card but now he's lost his f'ing mind. I go in because my beer was on sale at a decent, but not great price. I get to the counter and he gives me the total cost and then says plus a $1 credit card fee. I say never mind. Then he says you won't find this price anywhere else. I said Belbys has it for the same price. He then says you'll have to drive to Rockville. I tell him, "no problem" because I live in Rockville. He waived the fee this time but says he'll charge it next time. Huh? What next time is he referring to? There won't be a next time. Mo County is full of beer stores and theres literally one right across the street on the other side of Redland Rd. I can walk there in less than a minute. Note to the owner...credit card fees are simply a part of doing business. You don't charge your customers to come and buy your products. Great store, huge selection, friendly staff. I've been coming to this store for years now, and it's my favorite in the area. They moved back into their newly renovated space recently, and it has only improved. For the person complaining about chilled wine, now that they're back at full size, they have a great selection. The beer selection is perfect. A nice mix of national brands, imports, small breweries and local favorites. Don't have what you're looking for? Just ask and they'll order whatever you'd like. I'm not a big wine person, but they have a large section that covers all the major wine producing regions and they're happy to give a recommendation to a newb like me. Staff is friendly, competent, and knows the stock well. Honestly, the staff is why I keep coming back. Always there to make sure you're finding everything, but never seem to be hovering. I wholeheartedly recommend this store to anyone who asks. read more

Friendly people, quick service, decent variety of beer/wine. What else yall looking for?

Hours: Open Mon-Sat 7am-12pm; Sun 8am-11:30pm So my fiancee lives up this way and she has lots of family in that area. So whenever there's a family thing going on and spirits start running low guess who has to do the "milk run?" Little ol' me, Hey wheres the beer, wine etc etc no problem guys I got it. After all they are doing all the cooking so might as well make myself use full right? Now the nice thing that I like about this place is the hours of operation. BUT! common sense tells me NEVER EVER go late (that's when these types of places get robbed) none the less it's good for when you are running on empty and every other wine beer store is closed. Just take back up with you like a buddy who's a cop and packing heat. They have a nice selection of Yellow Tail for some reason I'm getting into Aussie wine. They also have these high priced beers, ales and lagers that come in these fancy wine type bottles. Priced like wine too for a bottle like $20 bucks def not for college beer guzzling parties. Different verities and labels of wine through out the store German, French, Italian a couple of sake bottles and plum wine. They also have cheap wine there too (bum wine) so you can get toasted and spend very little. On one of my many milk runs fiancee sent me just to get an inexpensive table wine. "Which type?" I asked going out the door "Doesn't matter any type just not too much (price wise) you pick." She replied. Okay rushed in grabbed the first thing I saw in red. She was fixing some south Asian dish I've never herd of involving goat of some sort. I wound up bringing back a bottle of Rossi. "NOOOOOoooooo"...... she exclaimed with a high pitch voice, when she took it out of the bag. "I can't stand Rossi it's the worst" But honey bunny you said didn't matter what type. "No take it back." But darling dearest you said cheap "No, exchange it they will exchange it." But ...but...she just gives me that look. okay off I go again and sure enough they took it back and I brought a bottle of Yellow Tail which I should have done in the first place. Just walk to the back and over to the left there it is, problem solved the clerk guy was very understanding when I explain have to keep harmony with wife to be.
