If negative stars were an option, this "mechanic" would get them. This was the most unprofessional…read moreand suspicious experience I've ever had with a service. He messaged me at 3 AM saying he could help with my turbo car and claimed he had experience. I waited literally all day, and he kept saying "sorry I'm late" and "I'm enroute," but every time I asked for a real ETA, he ignored my messages. He NEVER showed up at the time he said he would. Not once. When I told him the timing wouldn't work anymore, he suddenly tried to charge me a $72 cancellation fee, even though he never mentioned ANY fee beforehand and it's nowhere listed on his Yelp page, despite him claiming it was. Straight-up lies. Major red flag: when I asked for a proper payment method, he said he was "between card reader companies" and could only take cash or CashApp. That alone screams scam. Then it gets even sketchier: He blocked me, then called me from a completely different number pretending he "didn't know what happened" and "didn't know how to block or unblock anyone." At that point it was obvious what was going on. Full scammer behavior. Even after I said clearly I do NOT want the service and DO NOT come to my address, he kept trying to say he was still on the way. Completely ignores boundaries and is very unprofessional. Do NOT trust this person with your vehicle, your money, or your location. Total scammer. Complete loser behavior. Avoid at all costs.

He had to strategically maneuver his vehicle around several other cars to get the truck where I needed it, and then he managed to get unloaded and back down the driveway without even messing up the yard. I had Dave out to put 4 new tires on our Tesla Model X with powder coated wheels. He did a great…read morejob with being delicate with our wheels to insure no scratches, torqued the lugs to the proper spec and did the job pretty quickly. The tires were a very reasonable price, slightly less than comparable tires at discount actually, but the service fee was obviously a bit more which i didn't mind at all, because you're paying for the convenience and it was incredibly convenient having him come to my location and do the tires instead of me having to sit in the tire shop and wait. I would definitely recommend using this service, especially if you are busy and value your time. Absolute first class service had a very reasonable price in my opinion.

I cannot recommend S&S Mobile Mechanics highly enough…read more On Monday morning, I left Virginia and began driving to Texas to relocate for a new job. I was traveling in my wife's minivan with our Labrador, Mia. During the trip, I began having battery and alternator problems. After replacing both the battery and alternator in North Carolina, the battery warning light came back on late Monday night. I drove to the nearest AutoZone and stayed there until they opened the next morning. The wonderful employees at AutoZone recommended S&S Mobile Mechanics, and I am incredibly grateful that they did. When I arrived, Chris, Shawn, and Shawn's wife warmly welcomed both Mia and me into their home. They made sure Mia had a comfortable place to rest while they immediately began inspecting the minivan. Chris identified the alternator problem within minutes and replaced it right there. They charged me only $150 for the service, which was extremely reasonable, especially considering how quickly they helped me and the situation I was facing. They were respectful, professional, compassionate, and genuinely good-hearted people. They understood that I was trying to make it safely to Texas and went above and beyond to help ensure that I could continue my trip without further problems. I am happy to say that Mia and I made it safely to Texas, and the minivan is running wonderfully. People like Chris, Shawn, and Shawn's wife give me hope for humanity. We need more people--and more companies--like S&S Mobile Mechanics in this world. As a retired Air Force Major who is accustomed to handling difficult situations, I can honestly say that their kindness and support brought tears of joy to my eyes. Thank you again for everything you did for Mia and me. I will never forget your kindness. Five stars are simply not enough.
