Be aware that due to possible import from around the world it may be pricey. Candy from my childhood and maybe yours can be found here. There is plenty of variety candies and Soda drinks too. I believe I also seen they have a cotton Candy machine of their own that they make. Would definitely recommend anyone with a sweet tooth to check this place out with friends or family to bring that nostalgia back. I would stop by here to grab a snack or some candy on my lunch breaks. The best way I can describe it is they have similar stuff to what a gas station convenience store would have. Not the little tiny ones, but the gas stations that actually have a convenience store. They were definitely good to me when it came tot 5 cent candies. I'm such a sucker for them! The staff was always nice too. They kind of got to know me a bit after my first few visits so that was nice. What can I say - a convenience store that is actually convenient! Who would have thought!?

We settled on the Halloween one, because my kid loves all things Halloween; for $15 it did feel a little overpriced but I don't know where they get all their stuff from and cost of everything has gone up so maybe I'm a bit biased. Coolers and coolers full of unique soda's. We picked 2 up and their flavors were definitely on par with a craft soda. I even saw Bob Ross on one can. Along with a Duff can! My friend recommended the Sailor Moon ones too and said the one she got was pretty tasty! We also picked up a can of the Spicy Lobster pringles, which were pretty tasty, but again quite a price to try.

Most items are pricier here than a typical grocery store, but with its location right on 87th ave, it's closer to the university than most other grocery stores, too. It usually has most of the basics I need - milk, bread eggs, cereal, and even bananas and things like baking powder. A small selection of frozen dinners, too, if you really don't feel like cooking, and some ready-made subs (although I can't say how long they've been in the cooler). Staff are pretty friendly and knowledgeable about what's in stock. The debit machine breaks sometimes, but they do have an ATM on site.

Nifty little cafeteria where one can grab a meal and sit to eat. Very large bulk section. Fancy motion activated lighting in refrigerted isles to cut costs I guess. I've bever been one to sit and really compare prices when it comes to grocery chains. I think in the end it's as combination of whichever is more convenient, and perhaps which one a person is accustomed to. When I'm near this store... It will do!

The pharmacist there had to be ask me 3 times as she didn't understand when I said I am here to collect the pills that are owed to me from the other day! Even told her the med and it is on my file that they were not able to give me the full amount. This pharmacist needs to listen, and read the notes on my file. Not happy with this place right now. This Mac's is my favourite place, not only because it is conveniently located on campus across from…read morethe U of A Hospital but has all the basics a student would need and the best slushies during any season in the city. The place is stocked with snacks, milk, hot food, ice cream, the usual things you'll find at any convenience store. Mac's also has a limited selection of baking and cooking supplies. There is some seating inside and out which to me seems unusual but great if you want to take a break and enjoy a cold drink during the summer. The stuff here tends to be more expensive (and overpriced) than the nearby Sobeys but since it's open 24/7, there's no need to worry when you crave for a chocolate bar at 2 am in the morning.

Ghani's warm reception of customers and amazing generosity as manager at this Mac's makes this a…read moreparticularly wonderful place to shop at. Visits before to Mac's always yielded helpful convenient satisfaction with the good selection so close by. But this one visit and Ghani's generous leadership made Mac's an amazing place!
