I think I accidentally came at lunch time? It smelled like french fries but the door was open. 2 people were talking when we walked in, I stood there for a good couple minutes before being asked if I had an appointment (no hi just did you have an appointment) which I did after having to call in 4 times to get it and get it on the right day. After I was handed the paperwork the 2 people resumed having their personal conversation about all kinds of personal things. Turns out 1 is the receptionist but 1 is a provider, very glad I did not have that provider as they also didn't greet me as I was standing there in the beginning, I consider personal conversations everyone can hear very clearly to be quite unprofessional. The nurse was very nice but while she was taking my vitals, someone else knocked on the door, asked if the nurse was in there and then if she had the "vitals basket" which she did BECAUSE SHE WAS TAKING MY VITALS. I found this pretty unprofessional as well, the vitals and few questions took very little time, the other person could have waited patiently, it's not like her coworker was hiding. I saw Steve and he was great! He believed me, he did NOT say all my problems were because I was fat and he had a plan. He explained the plan, he sent in the prescriptions and he told me what to do and that if the plan didn't work here are the orders for testing so I could go get it done without calling back in or waiting for the next appointment. So Steve saved it all by treating me like a human and having a plan in his field and thinking ahead to save me time. I loved it and wish every Dr's appointment went like that. I can put up with the small slights and weirdness of the other staff if this is how appointments are going to go. read more

I checked in 4 times via phone to ask if I had any chance of getting my procedure by the end of the year and was told someone would call me. 5 weeks later and no one has called or left a message. read more

I would probably have given this a 4, but I feel that your staff needs some training on better customer service. Granted I only saw 3 (receptionist, nurse, and Dr)..... Nurse and Dr were very nice. Your front desk person, I believe her name is Yasmine? From the min I walked in, no eye contact, and her computer screen was facing me. No happy greeting, she spoke very low and monotone. I felt like I did not belong. The impression is given that she did not want to be there, nor was she sincere as she spoke, and fast, as to be rushing me along. She never once blinked at me. I have too much of a good heart to give you a 1 star. Your other people there made it a 2. Dr was pleasant. If he had been anything like her, I would have left and gone elsewhere. Dr. Reddy is extremely personable and made me feel at ease. His nursing staff was terrific as well. I also have seen Maria and she is an absolutely amazing and caring person. She listens and she makes sure that you understand everything. She seems to come from a place of compassion and she took the time out to call me for a televisit because I had concerns about an upcoming surgery. I feel that they are knowledgeable and I trust them with my healthcare. read more

I went to the other office closer to my home. The day of the procedure went well. Staff and Dr. were great. The problem was and still is, no one ever got back to me about the results. I called many times and sent the review paper back and said I like the office and everything was fine except no one would call me back. It's pretty tough to go through all that and then not have anybody tell you what's going on, I get it that probably means everything was OK or is OK, but nobody's called me to tell me otherwise. It was Amber that was supposed to call me and let me know on September 3. She has not yet ever called me. I left messages for her and I left a messages with her assistant obviously, neither one of them called me. I really wouldn't recommend this office to anyone. read more

Update: Between my husband and I we've now had five appointments here. For two different issues. Turns out Dr Reddy runs his new office on Baseline much like a clinic. Docs are on call on specific days - SO.....Unless you specifically request one doctor or a specific PA/NP you can expect to get someone new, or different than before. It might mean you can get an appt sooner this way. I see the logic - makes it easy to move docs between offices. But it's a strategy that comes at a stressful cost to patients. To me, for a chronic issue, I would always choose to see the same doctor. (Maria the FNP is considerate, thoughtful and well versed.). I normally do not mind seeing a new doctor out of school, as often they are driven and up to date. This might, or might not, apply to all of the fellowship docs practicing here - no disrespect but it depends on who you are assigned to here. If that doesn't bother you then just call and make an appointment. If it does bug you then ASK FOR A SPECIFIC DOCTOR and ask to be scheduled on the day your specialist doc is in the office. Ask to be notified 24-48 hours ahead of your spot if your doctor cancels that day. I think you must make this clear. If I am wrong I'd hope their office manager would post something here. I asked around after our fourth appt and discovered this issue is appreciated - they are trying to resolve people's concerns about their scheduling strategy. read more

The communication in this place is awful ! First of all they have a call center where I had to ask for two different people because I could not understand what they were saying or they could not understand what I was saying. it was a simple conversation about insurance. I agreed to pay the cash and keep my appointment when I got there. Apparently, they canceled my appointment.. I had one visit prior. It was a series of questions in order of tests and that was it.. I didn't care for the demeanor of the doctor, but I wanted answers so I did the test and then they canceled my appointment after a long wait. read more

I am not the type of person who post reviews, but because of my pleasant experience this week, I felt compelled to write one. I was referred by my PCP to GI due to my chronic IBS symptoms. I live close to their Mesa office but I had to drive all the way to Chandler to get the soonest GI appointment. My appointment was with Maria and I would say it was the best appointment of my life. She made me feel at ease, listened and took her time with me, made me laugh and gave me hope. We have some things to try and hopefully they work! I was scheduled for a colonoscopy. 6-8 weeks of anxiously waiting for a a procedure that everyone says is awful so, I had a lot of anxiety. I kept in contact with the office to make sure I had the time, the date and any needed instructions. The prep work for a colonoscopy is not fun. You have to fast and take stuff to clear out your system. You also have to take time off work plus find a friend to sacrifice their time to drive you. I was told that they would handle my insurance and assumed it was in a timely manner. It wasn't. After 36 hours of fasting and 16 hours of pissing out my ass I show up to my appointment and I'm told it's cancelled. When I call for information I get an Indian call center. I don't hear so well so I asked for an American to speak to but I was just given a number to another call center. I will not be recommending these people to anyone I care about. read more

These folks are totally inept. I was supposed to followup with the doc who performed my endoscopy and colonoscopy. Drove several miles out of my way to see this doc who, of course, was not available when I arrived. On top of that they could not find the pathology results from the procedures that were done 3 weeks prior. They had a damn excuse for everything that went wrong rather than an attitude that maybe some of their processes may need to be re-evaluated. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I also would like to give this HORRIBLY run office ZERO STARS!!! If you like to see the absolute definition of incompetence, this is the place to see it! My visit was at the Chandler office. Referring to google maps and the referral from my physician for the address. Only to get lost (more than once) as when they moved from their N Dobson address over 4 years ago, that's right FOUR YEARS AGO! Once I finally got the address (only by calling and waiting for 5min for them to answer the phone), upon arrival I was greeted with complete incompetence! This may be a FANTASTIC office. I have yet to see that! The Chandler location...changed location moved 4 years ago!! Online OLD OLD OLD address still on google. WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?!? You own a business with multiple employees and not 1 can update your google maps address. Apple Maps...same damn thing! Get off your socials front desk, and make yourself useful. So far my first appointment with this office has been complete BULL $#!+. It's been 2 hrs past appointment time and still not even in a room!!! Post appointment review... This is one of no less than 7 GI Specialists I have seen over the last 25 years. By far this has been the MOST condescending experiences with "medical professionals". I appreciate people for their contributions to better/help and support all functions in their work environment. So THANK YOU Jada for being the only redeeming member of this staff; you are awesome! Not my first time in a GI office, but yes PLEASE tell me how my bowels work. And how my pain is not coming from the area of concern that all of the labs point to and the REASON I came here. Orders for ultrasound, EGD and liver biopsy. EGD scheduled right away and complete. The remaining 2 orders has taken TWO WEEKS and my many inquiries to even send to the orders to the appropriate hospital/facility. This place is horrible. I wish I would have read these reviews before accepting them as an option. You have to plan months in advance to have a ride and take time off work for the procedure. These people canceled one week before the appointment. And gave me attitude when I told them this wouldn't work for me. They never canceled my follow up appointment like they were supposed to do and called to confirm my follow up. Then got upset with me when I pointed out there was no need for a follow up without a procedure done. I am now looking for another doctor rather than deal with this inept practice. read more

If you have any other options other than Reddy GI you should take them. I was referred to Reddy GI by Banner hospital for severe right side abdominal pain in June. It took over two months to be seen and multiple tests, endoscopy and colonoscopy Reddy GI had no clue what was wrong. I went to a nurse practitioner that asked if Reddy GI ever did blood or fecal testing and I told her no they never did. A week later a nurse says I have amylase and lipase deficiency and a simple test could have saved you over 6 months of extreme abdominal pain. Dr Reddy and his staff are incompetent and don't waste your time they do not care about your health! read more

This office is unorganized, you have to be on top of whatever you need to be seeing for. You have to call them constantly to get an appointment (they don't call you for follow up or schedule to be seen). After my first colonoscopy, they told me they will contact me within six months for follow up. Seven months later I have to call them, and took more than two months to schedule. After the Second colonoscopy, it was inconclusive. The doctor did not know the size and location of mass. Had to go to different doctor office. read more

I was recommended to Reddy GI Associates from the emergency room. It took two weeks to get an appointment then another month and a half to get an endoscopy performed. Then a month later when my results were available. I had a phone conversation with what I guess was a physician. Who knows, I was pretty much told here's your results and that's it. I'm young, underweight, and a non-smoker so a lot of the criteria that apply to Barrets Esaphogus do not apply to me. I have suffered from symptoms for 8 years always in the form of an emergency room visit. I was told absolutely nothing. Except -Take these meds- see ya. That was the feeling I got. I would not take my dying dog to this place of service. If you like the rinse wash and repeat type of treatment these are the people for you. I was curious to see what reviews this business had and other people's experiences. I see a lot of trolls writing of this place as the BEST on their website! but the lack of stars tells me more have had my experience on other review platforms. It's sad because this is a very scary thing to go through. It's life long, not reversible and maybe you won't end up with cancer if you're lucky is what I've found. Oh, and the cherry on top they also might be able to do experimental surgery on you. That has never been proven to prevent or change the outcome of Barret's esophagus. So basically they know very little about the cause and outcome. Hopefully, this is helpful to someone else. read more

Waited over 90 minutes to see Dr. Reddy last week. Never saw the DR. Saw a nurse practitioner and her trainee instead. Scheduled for a covid test before my procedure. This morning they cancelled my covid test stating they had positive covid in their office. They stated I would be responsible to find somewhere else to get my covid test. They still planned to do a colonoscopy within 7 days. Really? When I asked if I had been exposed when I was there, they refused to tell me. I asked if I now needed to quarantine for 14 days. There response was that was up to me. I will NEVER go to their office again! They obviously hold patients in very low regard! read more

I have been seeing this group for a couple of years. I've had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy and I really like Dr. Reddy. I was seen by someone the next appointment that I had no idea who he was and as I recall, he didn't bother to introduce himself. That procedure went well and I followed up. I recently had a colonoscopy and they sent me the report I suppose in case I need it for my own records. So I was good with that. I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. From the beginning it was difficult to ever get anyone who actually answered the phone. I sort of got used to that and then started realizing, they don't call me back even when I leave voicemails. This got worse over time. I went to the new place in Mesa on Baseline and saw yet another person I'd never met. I think she did introduce herself. She put me on a new medication and it was working for me. When I needed a refill, NOBODY ever called me back about it, nobody ever answered the phones, I called a total of five times and on the fifth time I said I wanted my medical records, I'd had enough of this ineptitude. It's ridiculous. so then as of late, I've asked for my medical records over and over and over and left VM after VM after VM. I needed them to FAX my records to the new group I chose. I've spent TWO MONTHS trying to get my records to the new group. I meanwhile ran out of one of my medications and had to go see my regular physician to get a refill on it. I called last week again and again about the records. I finally just asked them to send me the hard copies in snail mail. I finally got those the end of last week. And there was a second manila envelope which I opened. And in that envelope WAS ANOTHER PATIENT'S RECORDS. Do you realize what a serious HIPAA violation that is? I tried again to call them today to tell them about this. And I left a voicemail and told them this was a serious HIPAA issue. Of course, they never called me back so you now what? I've just written a very detailed letter about this group, about the serious HIPAA violation by sending me someone else's records and I have to wonder, were MY records FAXd somewhere else? I would never ever recommend this group. I'd say, find somebody else and never look back. I'm not sure if Dr. Reddy has any idea just how badly his office is being run. I wish I could leave less than 1 star. I called 40 times over the course of a week to schedule after being referred for a routine colonoscopy by my primary care physician. No one ever answered the phone. When you choose the prompt to schedule an appointment it says you will be transferred to the operator. After being on hold for a minute the call is disconnected. No opportunity to leave a voicemail. I emailed them and asked to have someone call me to schedule and that was a week ago- no email or call yet. Contacted my primary care for a different referral. I write this as a major warning to anyone else considering going to this office. Their practices and attitudes are very unprofessional, however in my case it could have been very dangerous. Unfortunately I suffer from a very complicated form of Crohn's disease that doesn't respond well to contemporary medicine. This has put me on a quest to find a decent doctor to work with in the valley which has been challenging to say the least. Many shrug and throw up their arms and say they don't know what to do with me. I don't respond to mesalamine drugs, Humira, prednisone, or the other many things that they've tried on me, they get frustrated and give up. Both my hips have caved in and I had to have both my hips replaced because of all the steroids I have been given in a failed attempt to control this Crohn's disease. I thought I found an attentive Dr at dr. Reddy's office, however unfortunately it ended up resulting in an anti climatic end in December right before Christmas. I had called dr. Reddy And informed him I needed a refill of Prednisone, I've been on a maintenance dose for almost a year from my last GI, and I was going to run out and I needed a refill over the holidays to make sure that didn't happen. I had a major surgery coming up to have my hip replaced, and if anyone here is familiar with steroids like prednisone, you cannot stop taking prednisone cold turkey when you've been on it as a maintenance drug for any sort of ammount of time. This can be very dangerous as yours adrenal glands shut down when you've been on them for a while, and you need to taper off slowly. Dr. Reddy called me on the phone and said he refused to submit my refill and expected me to just quit taking prednisone cold turkey when I've been on a maintenance dose of 20 mg. I told him that I couldn't stop taking it cold turkey and that would be very dangerous for me, he told me that I read too much on the internet and he has been practicing 40 Years of medicine and he understands what I'm saying, however I am wrong. In that statement alone, saying that he understands what I'm talking about and then yet says I need to quit reading on the internet and I am wrong contradicts itself. I was appalled and shocked that a doctor such as this would expect a patient to quit steroids cold turkey, as this is basic medicine 101 and anybody with common sense understands that you cannot do this and this is very dangerous. Aside from causing a Crohn's flare, it can put you into an addisonian crisis. I called my orthopedic surgeon who sits on the medical board for Arizona, and told him what happened and he was shocked and appalled by this. He mediately made phone calls to find me an alternative Dr and stated this was very incompetent. He absolutely stated do NOT stop taking prednisone, this cannot happen, it would be very unsafe for me to do so. My Conversation with dr. Reddy ended with him telling me to find a different doctor and he was firing me as a patient and hung up on me. Rarely have I been treated this poorly and unprofessional by doctor before. Anybody that has any doubt about my story, please do yourself a favor and Google stopping steroids cold turkey and research the dangers involved in doing so. read more

More and more meds pushed. with no help as soon as I went to a different GI one of my problems were fixed and working on the last with my new GI DR. Wish I could give 0 stars. I went to the location in Central Phoenix. My insurance changed on a visit. The computer systems were down so they hand wrote my information. They never put it in, and I tried calling the billing line 5 different times. The first time I waited 45 minutes, but had to get back to work. The 2nd time, I got to the end of the cue list and was immediately hung up on. I thought this might be a fluke, called again, but rand out of time after an hour, so had to hang up. I tried the 4th time on my lunch, but did not have enough time to make it through the cue. The 5th try, I made it through again and got hung up on. I sent an email, actually 2 with zero response. On top of that, during my "treatment" they down played my symptoms and I found out later, when I went to the ER, that I was literally in sepsis and could have died. Please do not go here. I would give this practice zero stars if I could. I was having symptoms, so I was referred to this GI. The office could not tell me who I would be seeing. I went to the office on Crismon for my appointment. The office was packed with people. I had to wait to even get a seat. I stood at the front not desk for five minutes waiting for the receptionist to get off her personal call. I then waited for close to an hour to see the doctor. They told me the wait was so long because they didn't have enough rooms for all the doctors. I saw Dr. Vulcano. During the abdominal exam, he asked me if I felt pain when he pushed. I did. He told me he felt a mass at the top of my stomach and said that it would need to be biopsied. He also gave me a prescription but did not explain what it was for. I went to my pharmacy to get it filled. They would not fill the prescription because the doctor's name was not on the prescription pad I think. Anyway, they said there was a problem with it and they could not fill it. I made the appointment for the endoscopy. I thought I would be having it at Banner Hospital, but the person I spoke with from Reddy's office told me the doctor was only there one day a week and they were scheduled way out. She pushed me to have it done at Reddy's endoscopy center. So I made the appointment. I asked who would be doing the procedure. She said she could not tell me which doctor would be doing it. By this time, there were too many red flags. I told my primary physician that I did not want the procedure done by this practice, so she referred me to someone else. I was able to get scheduled for an appointment with the new GI on Monday 8/19. I called Reddy's office the prior week because the new doctor wanted to see my records. I called three times and left messages. Finally I received a call back, so I went in to pick them up. While I was there, I looked at the notes. Too my surprise, there was no mention of the mass. It said the abdomen was normal! I told the receptionist what the doctor had told me. She said that's what the notes said. I said I wanted to talk to the doctor. The receptionist said, Well, he doesn't come here. He only goes to the hospital. What?? I asked three times to have the doctor call me. The office manager jumped in to say the notes said what they said. Finally, she agreed to have the doctor call me. I STILL have not spoken to the doctor. My primary doctor's office called Reddy's office and was told the doctor would call me. I'm still waiting. I will not go back there for treatment. I have never experienced such a low standard of care. Obviously, I would be concerned about a mass. Obviously, I would want to talk to the doctor about this discrepancy. No call. Office staff and the practice itself is very unprofessional. I'm sadden how poorly managed this place is and their billing mistakes are scary to say the least. I went in for a visit that should of been fully covered by my insurance, they said it would at the visit and my primary care double checked with my insurance prior to refering me. So in shady insurance fraud fashion I got a bill in the mail saying I was 100% liable for the visit. I called billing and waited on hold a long time. Turns out they never even billed my insurance, the woman who handled billing was kind and processed it today. Told me to check back in a week to make sure nothing else went wrong. 1 star for doing shady stuff and for my having to use my time to do their job. read more

Had my 10 year screening colonoscopy through here. For the technical aspects of the procedure and anesthesia, I would give it 4 stars. For the office visits and billing, 0 stars. My screening was negative, which I was told at the time of the procedure and given the pictures. Why did I have to have a follow up visit and pay another $30 copay if there was nothing further to discuss? Then I got a bill several months later saying my co-pay was more than I had paid for both the initial and follow up visits. I paid the additional and about 6 weeks later, got another bill for the same. I called and they said they did receive my payment but their 2nd notice crossed in the mail - it took them 5 weeks to process my payment? My initial visit was with a PA, I never got introduced to the physician till minutes before the procedure yet I saw him in the office that day, he just didn't bother to meet me. There are many great GI physicians to chose from and though I trust Dr. Reddy and Gohel technically, I would not return to them due to the office and billing. read more

Upon receipt of original bill we called their office to confirm services provided as we have no recollection of said services billed. Were told they would get back to us after review. Weeks later, no response. We decided to pay this off as it was only $160. Called their office, provided debit card info, was told the person responsible for running cards was off. Was advised that I would be contacted the next day with a confirmation. Several days later on Oct 22 I appeared in person as there had been no return call with confirmation of debit payment and funds were still in my account. Was advised at that time that my instructions for running the card were misunderstood. Payment was made in full at that time. Left their office with receipt in hand assuming all was well. Much to my surprise we received the SAME bill again dated Nov 7 (over 2 weeks after payment was made)...and, oh by the way, we are now 90 days past due. The staff is great here and very sympathetic but the nurse practitioner is horrible!! He does not listen and is more interested in throwing around what he knows then helping patients. Had to reschedule a procedure and have made several calls to reschedule and never heard back. They will probably delete this review cuz they don't like to hear the truth about things. Not a fun game when you are busy and trying to get things accomplished. And who...in the year 2016...doesn't keep basic information like your business address current on their website?
