Mary at the front desk was kind, patient, helpful, and professional in my process of deciding what I wanted. She explained the entire process to me so there was no confusion. Mike Burnside came out and did all of the measuring with great care. Mike Burnside, David Wiggins, and Patience removed the old kitchen counter and sink, the old bathroom counters and sinks and replaced the counters with Quartz, porcelain sinks in the bathroom, and a stainless steel sink in the kitchen. These guys are professional, kind, and they were very careful in our home. A couple of weeks later, Mike Burnside, Fella (don't know his real name) and Marquel came to tear out the old shower and install the new one. Again, these guys were very professional and took great care in our home. I am so happy with everything I chose. It looks really beautiful. But what is much more important to us is that these guys treated our home as if it was theirs. They all are meticulous in their various jobs. If something isn't just right they work until it is. Remodeling is stressful to most any homeowner, however this crew made the process fairly easy for us with their professionalism, with the way they explained things step by step, even with their sense of humor. It is so rare these days to find a company that actually cares and where the workers take pride in what they do, where they show up when they say they will, and they do not spend all day on their phones. The service was contracted with the understanding that the work would involve only a steam/deep cleaning and no resurfacing or sanding. The agreed-upon price for this service was $450, which I considered reasonable given the scope of the job. Unfortunately, the quality of the work was severely deficient. Upon completion, the floors appeared incomplete, with visible damage in multiple areas. Specifically, the protective coating was stripped away in patches, and there are at least four sections where the wood itself has been excessively abraded or sanded, resulting in exposed flakes, splinters, and uneven surfaces. In contrast, other portions of the floor showed no evidence of having been cleaned at all. I contacted Floor Pro to inspect the damage and requested a resolution. In response, they proposed to repair the issues by buffing and sealing the entire downstairs floor at a discounted rate of $6,200. This offer raises serious concerns about their business practices, as it appears to escalate a simple cleaning job into a far more extensive and costly repair. I cannot help but question whether the initial damage was intentional, designed to coerce customers into additional, higher-priced services. Everyone appeared frustrated and completely uninterested in helping customers. After waiting, I finally got someone to assist me. Unfortunately, it only got worse. By the time my order was being loaded around 11:15 a.m., the two employees handling the pickup were rude, short, and abrasive. There was no greeting, no communication, and no appreciation for the fact that I was picking up a significant order. I work in Greenville and rarely shop the Columbia location, and this experience reminded me why. The difference in customer service between the two stores is night and day. Greenville has consistently been professional, friendly, and helpful. Columbia, on the other hand, made what should have been a simple pickup stressful and frustrating. When customers spend thousands of dollars and plan their day around picking up materials, they deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the Columbia location. If you have the option, I would strongly suggest driving to the Greenville store instead.
