Asked if I could do my order over the phone to secure some crawfish, but she politely told me I needed to come and go through the drive thru. It's located on the left hand side of LA Hwy 70. There are two seafood places side by side but Craws and Claws is the first one before you get to the lake. Be careful where you turn in at because it's a drive thru set up, so you go in one side and come out of the other. If you mess up like I did, it's easy to turn around, just be careful. There was a dry erase board just off to the side of the drive thru where the whole menu shows you just what they have and the prices. I came on Monday April 26th at 2PM. The menu showed crabs, crawfish, shrimp, both live and boiled, corn, potatoes, sausage, mushroom, garlic, sausage, and more. The lady was so nice both in person and on the phone. She packaged our stuff up so securely and even gave us an extra bag just in case. Our price was $3.99/lb for boiled crawfish but depending on when you come that price will fluctuate. Early on in crawfish season it's pretty expensive, but toward the end of the season, things gets little more affordable. Hands down, that was the best crawfish I've had in a long time. It was spiced just right. We had not even one bad crawfish. It was all great. The potatoes and corn were excellent. The boudin did not disappoint. It was so tasty and delicious. We had a big ol' polar pop to help wash it all down. We paid about $58 and some change for 12lbs of very tasty crawfish....that included 2 orders of potatoes, 2 orders of corn, and 2 pieces of boudin. Not a bad price at all for the amount of food we got. We enjoyed every bit. We will be going back very soon.

Need to update hours. I went right before they closed (website said they closed at 7) I got there…read moreat 5. They were out of everything and the crawfish was not fresh.

I do not, but I do enjoy their grilled chicken po-boy. Other fan favorites are the shrimp Poboy, the softshell crab Poboy and the gumbo. The red beans and rice are the some of the best in the city! They have a wide drink selection, including local beer. They do not take reservations and you line up outside to wait for a table. The staff outside keeps the line organized and moving and we never have to wait for very long. It is cozy inside with the tables close together so they can maximize the seating capacity, red and white tablecloths and just a really fun atmosphere.

Had to wait in line to get in for less than five minutes with two groups ahead of us. By the time we left at 5:30 there was a line of maybe five to seven parties. Regardless, I think people rotate out of here pretty quickly so I don't think you should fret too much if the line has built up. A lively restaurant with a lot of neon, decor, and tv screens. The service is reasonably fast and polite. Got the 1/2 Dozen oysters ($18 or $3 per) which were yummy. I'd recommend the Boom Boom Shrimp for sharing. This place gets my stamp of approval!

The carne asada taco was okay, too many onions for me, but still quite tasty. Some would probably be intimidated to eat here because it is a run-down food truck located next to a gas station near the Home Depot of Coursey & Cedarcrest. The service was friendly and fast. Eating there is not really recommended because there are just folding chairs, no tables. I would say the food was pretty authentic and I plan on going back, especially for those yummy pupusas. This might not be your first choice, but at least make it a choice; step out of your box and try something new!

Everyone has heard about my deep rooted love and obsession for tacos and food stands, so I wanted everyone else in Baton Rouge to find out about this gem of a shady but delicious food truck! The meat is charred crispy to perfection, without being dry. The doubled-up HANDMADE a corn tortillas are definitely the best tortillas I have ever tasted. (Hmm, wonder if I can get a whole pack to go?!) The pupusas are delicious too, and come topped with a pickled cabbage. My friend did order the pork tacos, thinking it was carnitas, but it was actually chicharrones (pork rind) and we didn't like that one so much. I TOLD her to let me order for her in Spanish, but she insisted on the pork before I had the chance to people rly ask WHAT type of pork...... And yes, it's best to order in Spanish. Just say "taco de carne asada" (beef steak) and "taco de pollo" (chicken) and how may and you should be set. I usually order 3. They are small but very filling. I could literally eat these everyday. There are 2-3 chairs to sit out at while waiting for your order, and the wait time is 4-8mins or so depending on how much you order but it's so worth it. They even give salsa to go. Ladies, please wear your wedding rings (or a fake one while you order) because there will most likely have a plethora of men ordering authentic Mexican food, waiting to propose to any unsuspecting lady who just wants to get her foodporn on and immediately dash to the comfort of their own home to indulge in these tasty treats. It is parked at the gas station near the Home Depot on Cedarcrest & Coursey. Coming from bluebonnet (with the CCs coffee house on your left) you will cross over working onto Coursey, and it's the second gas station on the right. If you're in the Home Depot parking lot, the gas station is directly in front of the store.
