Worse Indian food I have ever had! Butter chicken was…read moreabsolutely sweet like a thick sugary yoghurt like substance - my kids couldn't even consume it. Binned it straight away! Definately not authentic. The bread is stale and hard. The rice is oily and hard, not soft and fluffy. Not sure how you could get rice wrong. I wish my chicken curry made up for the terrible butter chicken but it didn't Also, I went to the toilet straight after

Bombay Grill faces a bit of competition from the other Indian restaurant across the street. They…read moreare open 7 days and even offer free delivery service. They specialise in an assortment of curries, from the commercial to the more authentic, with dishes such as the hot Vindaloo to the milder Butter Chicken. The butter chicken is decent and the meat is tender, but is a little blander than I would have hoped. In contrast, their mango chicken is especially sweet and not at all to my liking. Their lamb korma was a little tough as well. As part of their menu, the Tandoori Bakery offers seven different types of naan, from the plain to garlic, or cheese and meat options. Their Peswari naan is stuffed with almond, sultanas and fresh cream and is a sweet accompaniment that you wouldn't ordinarily expect.

In order to capture the attention of locals Vasandha Bhawan really needs to work on its non existent decor and ambience. Its a great take away place as the food is good and very economical. But it does offer the option to eat in and also has enough space to offer a decent sized restaurant. They have the back up of a good chef and have all the infrastructure in place. All it needs is a little polishing on the service side and the help of a designer to perhaps offer a little sense of who they are. They do have one of the best Naan bread. Extremely fresh and well made.

Because this place is back from the main road I've driven past countless times in the last 3 years…read moreand not know of its existence. Now I know, and I'm glad there's finally a Thai place in Penrith I can say I actually like. The inside is significantly cleaner, bright, roomier than you'd expect from looking at the outside, and the food matches the interior perfectly. The green curry is served with the sauce thick enough and in the right quantities for you not to require rice to go with it, while still leaving more than enough extra sauce for those who want rice with it. Extremely tasty and just enough of a kick to really add to the flavour. I like it when Thai food makes me start reacting to a bit of chilli and spice but without having had actually ask for my dish to be prepared that way. Both my partner and I were left very impressed by this place, and it will be our new go-to Thai restaurant when dining in the area.

I'm not sure how pricing is because she paid and the menu we looked at was just filled with pictures. We ended up ordering the sausage, Chicken skewers, fried egg salad, chicken salad, papaya salad, Tom yum soup, ox tounge, pandan sticky rice with ice cream and banana fritter with ice cream. The highlight for me was the ox tounge and the fried egg salad. The egg was cooked to perfection and it was really good. The ox tounge was unique and has a chewy texture and flavor was good. Everything else was ok and pretty standard. It does take a while for food to come out and our server was so unenthusiastic looking. Overall, an ok Thai/Laos restaurant
