Today when I went to cash my check and deposit some money into my account they would not cash my check. They said I had to deposit my check with a 7 day hold. I needed groceries, Prescriptions, gas and they would not give me any of my money. Now if I did not have an account I could see maybe not cashing it but it is on the US Treasury department. I called the 800 # and asked to speak to a manager for Chase, the manager stated it was up to a branch manager. I asked for my check back but this BITCH teller stamped it endorsement denied. I went to Walmart as I have cashed checks there before but was informed that because she stamped my check that they could not check it, the walmart teller told me that CHASE will do that to force you to deposit your check with them. I was berated for not depositing my check from a teller at another Chase bank in Pineville.I do not feel like it is any of their business why I do not want to deposit my whole check with them. I pay 20 dollars month to have an account with them but cannot cash a federal check?????? WTF???? They also put a 7 day hold on my check, I was unable to buy groceries, Buy gas(which I only have 2 miles of gas left) or but medications that I have needed since monday.I will not be able get money for 7 days. I will be closing this account. I have over 800 people on my Facebook account and I will be posting on several other social media account which is connected to LSU which has THOUSANDS of accounts which views peoples post. I have been banking with Capital One Bank for over 10 years. Occasionally I"ve had issues with…read morediffernt personnel but usually management stepped in and rectified the matter. However nothing compared to my experience at the branch on Jackson Street, in Alexandria Louisiana. I camae and deposited three checks and tried to cash a fourth, and presented my drivers license. The teller said I needed two forms of ID to cash the check being that it was over 3k. I asked why, since based on experience of cashing checks previously much larger than the one I wanted to cash on this occasion, and since i had had money in the account inwhich I was cashing it against to cover the amount of the check, no other Capital One had ever required such a thing.They said that branch had this policy. I asked who made the policy. She said the manager did. I asked to speak to the manager. After about 5 minutes or so one of the tellers whispered in the ear of the person who subsequently approached me representing himself as the manager. I explained myself, but the person representing himself as the manager, Chuck Thomas, simply said this is his policy and i should present the other ID or leave. I was shocked at his lack of courtesy and profesionalism so I protested further seeking to see this policy he was relying on. He repeated that I should leave, and said the bank doesnt share policy with none employees. I asked for his supervisor's info. He repeated his wish for me to leave and grabbed the check as if to escort me out, stating bluntly "im not going to give it to you". I kept insisting that I get the District Managers contact info. He then asked that i go to his office. once there the unprofessionalism escalated, with him basically telling me i was out of place to question him, that it was his bank, and he wasn't going to give me info. about the district manager because he was taking care of it. At this point I was totally exacerbated. I asked him, Chuck Thomas, if I was a white man seeking the District Managers info. if I would get it. He said, "i knew you was going to play the race card". He said I guess you'd call the district manager a racist too if he agrees with me, i said "well you might belong to the same club". Chuck Thomas then told me to leave or he would call the police and have me arrested for calling him a racist. I told him it wasn't such a charge...but that mentality proved to me he was living in the good-old days, and felt it was good enough for him just to not like me to get me arrested. How dare i offend a white man. Ultimately he kicked me out and two days later i closed my accounts there. Ironically I wasnt asked to present two forms of ID to get the money out of my three accounts, although the balance was significantly higher than the check Chuck Thomas refused to cash. I moved back out here to Louisiana after 17 years, and I cannot believe the hatred and non-support and I really thought this was the state of Southern hospitality. I moved into a rental home under the HUD program and that did not stop my landlord from renting a home that was inhabitable and she be allowed to do it and when I found out about it and try to get a resolution and when I was not able to do that, the reply and response was retaliation of my property. I've been got into a car accident and the person that rear-ended me was my housing Authority lady Britney Covington her daughter. My car broke down a couple months after the accident so I was left having to go traded in. I did not want to do that because I had just got through paying for a car note about a year and a half prior and I was so happy to finally get a little financial freedom and get my credit back on the right track and now I'm back in the hole. This car that I have financed with Barksdale has been vandalized as well. Multiple times does Barksdale care about that absolutely not I am left afraid and sheer terror of my life and all they care about is a dollar bill. I am sick from the most toxicity of black mold. And some days I can't even get out of bed and all I'm dealing with is harassment text messages from this credit union and I wish I never had these things happen to me because I really am not fancy on these people at this credit union the ones that I talk to, and tried to pour my heart out and show them what I am going through and nobody had a heart to help somebody that is disabled with very bad mental health issues due to being molested by my stepfather abandoned by my real father and verbally and physically abused by my mother and then also assaulted by my son and lost my job this money that I paid to Barkdale my car note takes everything for my Social Security and I'm love broke and sad and depressed because I cannot even pay the majority of my bills my credit has suffered when in the beginning when I got this car, I had great credit at 720 credit score and now from being robbed and left without money my credit has suffered and has went down to 530. I wish you people at Brickdale Federal credit union in Alexandria, Louisiana, and all over had a heart. I called many times to find out if there are any hardship programs are able to get a deferment and I was told that they don't have any programs like that and I'm asking for the CEO or the president anybody that can help me in this situation to please respond to this because I know you care about this company and I really don't believe that this reflects everyone at this credit union, but the ones that I've had dealings with have not been so kind even on the phone they're rude and I've never put myself in this situation. This is what I get due to hate and retaliation and I have to pay for it. Are we in America? Is this the land of the free? Is this really how life is supposed to be? Is this what we're gonna teach our kids. I'm in so much debt and I'm so sad and I'm so depressed because of this treatment along with other issues I have that I did not put on myself some days. I just wish I will sleep and not wake up because it's just so hard getting people to understand that you need help and unique support and I have not been supported once by this credit union I don't want anyone to think that this is an excuse to get out of paying my car note or not trying to have my responsibilities, but I did not do this to myself and I think the best account for something and all I'm asking for is help why and what is wrong with me that I don't deserve help that I don't deserve somebody to look into this situation and this could change my life in the life of my family. What if any of you or your family was in this situation workers of Barsdale Federal credit union would you turn your back on them too or would you like somebody to turn their back on you? I'm just appalled and if God came down today, I wanna know what you guys still make the same decision. Would you do it the same way I believe in God and I believe that somebody that really has a heart in this empathetic will read this and feel how painful it is for me to write just a part of my story to share. I'm such a giver and a supporter and I really thought that doing that which is very genuine. I thought that good things will come back to me, but I left with is doors closed in my face sorry I can't help you, and no. It is so hard to be myself and it's even harder to be hated for doing absolutely nothing to somebody but they have a perception of you and they don't expect me to stand up for myself and it is very hard for me to do that because I do care about what people think of me so much but if you can't count on your credit union, who can you count on and I wish I never was apart of this credit union. UNACCEPTABLE
