First, despite checking in late Thursday afternoon, there were not enough tables or tablecloths available to set up the reception area. After asking multiple times and speaking with several staff members, we were told that they would personally set up the remaining tables and provide the missing tablecloths. However, when we returned the next morning (the day of the wedding), no additional tables had been set up, and the tablecloths were still unavailable. When we spoke with the main staff member about the issue, we were met with rudeness and profanity. Despite written communication between the venue and the bride confirming the guest count, the venue had the wrong number of attendees recorded, which affected the amount of food that had been prepared. Once the issue was resolved by reviewing the written correspondence and confirming that the mistake was on the venue's end--not the bride's--no apology was offered for the error, the inconvenience, or the unprofessional interaction. On top of that, the reception space was not clean upon arrival. While a small amount of dust is understandable for a rustic, rural venue, the floors had not been swept and the windows were dirty. I will say that the food was very good, and our room accommodations were comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, those positives did not outweigh the lack of organization, professionalism, and customer service we experienced.

Because they only host a small number of guests each week, the experience feels personal and tailored to you. Activities vary depending on the weather and the ranch's needs, which makes every visit unique. Candace & Brooke are go with the flow and assure everyone is having a good time. John is very knowledgeable of the history of the area and willing to share. Mike cooks up 3 square meals a day and you never leave feeling hungry. Such a unique experience and the only time in the season that the cattle are moved from the ranch to their summer grazing spot on the Big Horn National Forest. John and crew (his kids and a wrangler) were so helpful in selecting horses for each of us at the beginning of the week and throughout our adventure. We did some initial trail rides to get us used to the saddle and horse (I had not been on a horse in 40 years!) and then gathered and sorted before our main adventure. Our accommodations both at the ranch and on the trail were great. We had the cabin next to the main house which was three bedroom and one bath with a kitchen and over 100 years old. We loved it! And the meals cooked by Mike were fantastic. I cannot express how amazing spending a week with the Tass Family and crew were, as well as meeting our companions for the week. I highly recommend the Klondike Ranch to anyone wanting a real cattle ranch experience. As stated elsewhere...this is not a spa experience, but a real ranching experience. Very amazing by people who work for a living and love the land they own and graze!

The staff are wonderful and really provide personalized service. By the end of the week, they all felt like friends. The horses are awesome. Because they have so many beautiful trucks/horse trailers, the guests are able to ride in many different/varied locations. Our group of about 30 guests ranged from novice to expert level riders but all riders were given opportunities to enjoy and reach their potential for the week. The food...OMG. Rachel, their executive chef, is amazing. I think I ate every single bite of every single meal. I immediately am sad that we are not there this week and I have to cook my own meals. The grounds are immaculate and the barn looks like you could almost eat off the floor (well, almost). Tom, the head wrangler, is very skilled and he seemed to match us very well with great horses. The owners are so friendly and spent time with us all week. I really can't think of anything I didn't like about this amazing trip. We're going to start saving our money to go back!

We loved our 5 day 4 night outback experience to Flat Iron Lake. Adam and his staff are exceptional…read moreexperienced horsemen and outback experts. The horses and mules were well trained and could be ridden by inexperienced riders. The camp is perfect. My wife and I picked out our tent that had 2 cots for sleeping and a 3rd cot for our luggage. There is a cook tent and a large dining tent. There was a shower with hot water provided by a tankless heater and a generator. The camp is next to Flat Iron lake, but there are 3 other lakes in walking distance. We trout fished, hiked, and rode the horses. It was a great time. My wife liked to sit by the lake and read in the evening. Adam is a great cook. Steak, porkchops, lamb, and great breakfasts. The meals were so much more than we expected. The best part was sitting around the campfire at night and getting to know everyone. They are wonderful people. We want to do it again soon with family and friends.

We were very pleased with this accommodation. We like to cook in, and the kitchen is very well stocked. The back deck has a gas grill that worked perfectly. The ranch is awesome, the family/hosts were awesome too. Very down-to-earth, friendly, and excellent ambassadors of ranching in this area of Wyoming. Our cabin looked out over rolling hills all the way to the Big Horn Mountains. Even had a cowboy ride by the cabin multiple times each day! Call ahead to see if you can arrange a horse ride on the ranch. They really know their horses. Loved their dogs too. Would love to return.
