This colorful mural has been up in the Short North for a while now. While it's fairly tucked away, you're most likely to catch it driving west down 5th avenue towards High st. It's about mid-size and has an oddly placed bush directly in front of it, slightly obstructing the view.
I think I like the colors most of all, contrasting yet vibrant. I'm also a huge lover of plants and things that grow. Heck, my own creative inspiration often lies in nature, so I totally dig this. I walk by often and always stop to enjoy, even if only for a moment.
It was painted by a lady named Teresa Cornelius and it's a part of the Blank Spaces exhibition that was put on by the Short North Alliance and several galleries in the neighborhood. I highly suggest printing off a map and trying to find each mural. They are low-key placed up and down High St. If you're not looking for them, they're easy to pass by. read more
