When it was time to have the topcoat installed I got a quote of 3200 to essentially paint the concrete again. I had no other choice at that time so I went ahead and had it done. I live in Louisville, Kentucky and the company has since went out of business. Four years ago, I called corporate in Texas and explained my situation and they did send me two pails of the topcoat. The topcoat is rather expensive, but I was able to have both 5 gallon pails last the entire four years total cost of the topcoat was $1200 now $1200 may seem like a lot of money but it's a far cry cheaper than $3200 every year Well it's that time of year again and it's time to redo the topcoat. I called corporate again and they absolutely refused to sell me their product. They told me I need to go through my local installer which is two hours away so I called him up and he refused to sell me the product because this company wants to charge you $3200 to paint concrete rather than do it yourself. I am a do it yourselfer and you can understand why because I save a lot of money. My advice to you is do not use this company. They will keep you on the hook for the rest of your life.

I reached out to 502 Construction via Yelp, and Ted, the owner, responded directly to me and came out to look at our issue firsthand before giving us a quote. It meant so much to be able to talk to him about this from the start. The stone facade on a back wall in our garden had fallen off, due to water getting behind the stone and freezing. We also wanted to add a brick topper to that wall, to match the wall on the other side of our back yard, and we wanted a metal railing added to the length to prevent anyone from falling off the side of the wall, which abuts our parking pad. Ted's bid was fair, and when he started the work, he was at our house everyday (excluding a couple of days due to bad weather) until it was complete. He was communicative and receptive throughout. And his work more than met our expectations. He had to individually measure and cut maybe 100 bricks so that the topper would work with the incline of the wall. He went a couple of places to find brick that would match brick we already had at our house, and he cut and welded the railing on site. We still need to paint the railing, but it is night and day better compared to what it was. (I will be sure to add before-and-after photos once it is 100% complete.) Ted is going on our list of contractors to have handy and to recommend to all who will listen.
