Really enjoy this place and the children love this place grills to cook they let you bring your own food to cook on grill and have plenty of tables. They have a wave pool and two huge water slides and a lazy river to float through. They also have a cute little area for younger children with a small bridge you have to walk over. I really enjoy bringing the family here and letting them just enjoy themselves safely . Located right by meijers and down the street from Sam's club . Great place to take the children on a warm summer day and the staff is always young but super friendly and helpful. This place is always an awesome time! The cost is low and you can't complain when you've got a local place where you can go enjoy a lazy river. I prefer to come here during the week when folks are home, but it's fine too when hundreds of people descend upon the grounds. Go and enjoy! I love this waterpark! So huge, they have lifeguards everywhere, enough enough space and chairs for everyone. We were here on Sunday and not a lot of people. They have a pool where you can float on those tubes and they create waves there, splash park which is great and slides. River wasn't working. A lot of bbq areas, big umbrellas and tents, vending machine and snack station. You can get a west there. Bathrooms in each area clean and nice. Employees are friendly. We bought tickets online so instead of $20 and is $17 and they email them to you and you just show barcodes at the entrance. We will be back. read more

So grateful for red oaks! You're nice and near to me. Friendly watchful staff, always super observant which is super important to me becuz my little ones are sooo naughty!!! Everythings here! The lazy river for the laid back, the lil kiddie playful area with the massive bucket that drenches you for the munchkins, the wave pool for everybody and then the water slides for the daring folks. I'm always happy at Red Oaks! The prices are so great. Check their website for details! The park is very clean, lots of seating scattered around the entire park! You can get your kids a life jacket if you need to sometimes the wave pool is more fun with one. The lady's bathroom is also so so so clean each time I've gone. I haven't been to the wave pool since I was a kid, and i came here yesterday with my co-workers for our annual summer outing. I have to say, this place is as fun as I remember it to be! Ticket prices are reasonable if you're an Oakland County resident. They have plenty to do for all ages. They have a huge water slide, a lazy river and of course, the wave pool. for the lazy river, you can get single or double tubes and float down in groups. The water is warm so if you should flip, you're not going to freeze. Also, they have tons of inner tubes for the wave pool as well. Water is warm and they have tons of lawn chairs! Granted, it's overrun with kids, but hey, that's a okay. Also, they have benches and picnic tables available as well. They have a few covered areas, but they go quick. If your literally not there when they open, they are taken that soon, so be ready! They have life jackets here to rent for kids. I think their free as long as you return them when you're done. They also have a kids area for those children that are either to small or to scared to do the "big kid" stuff which makes it great for everyone to keep cool. They also have BBQ's here as well which we utilized so you can grill if you're interested. Also, they have a concession stand, but I didn't really scope it out, so I'm not sure what they carry. You're probably better off bringing you're own food and drink, but if you need more, you can always purchase stuff for a few bucks. The only downside to this place is that I noticed 1 set of bathrooms. They do have locker rooms available near the wave pool, so I'm assuming that there are additional bathrooms on that side of the park. Also, they have lockers available to rent if you feel the need to lock up your purse or wallet while you're there. I love that because I hate leaving my purse unattended for any amount of time for fear of someone taking my stuff. The only downside (and it's not really a downside) is that the water slide water was ICE COLD. But, it was fun, so it evened out. Overall, I had a blast at this place, and would gladly return in the future. It's fun for adults and kids, which makes it even better. read more

I was here for a work activity. The park is small. It has a wave pool, lazy river, three (very kid friendly) slides and a kiddie area. They also have picnic and grill areas. What I love the most about Red Oaks is that it has several lifeguards on duty. I was happy to see so many at each activity area and that they were actually doing their job. I felt safe as the children played in the splash park and the lazy river. It is affordable for small groups: $15 per person (nonresident) and a couple bucks cheaper for Oakland County residence. You have to pay regardless if you are getting in the water, so be warned. There are shaded seated areas to relax from playing in the pools or just to read a book. Tip: Get there early for a BBQ grill if you are cooking. Bring snacks, but leave the liquor at home. All door tickets were sold out We ordered tickets online and they still didn't wanna let us in we stood at the front gate for 2 1/2 hours trying to get in they told me I was gonna have to leave one of my kids outside. when we finally got in they where not family friendly and there were no lifeguards around. If you go buy your tickets online ahead of time 2 days before. They only sell 2,000 tickets per day. Pretty bad business model as there are many seats and dollars to be collected if they counted the people that leave for the day and let others in. read more

Red Oaks is definitely a great place to cool off with family or friends during those hot summer days. ROWP was always a must when I was younger while several friends of mine had birthday parties there. The park is always clean and tidy and the staff is beyond superb. The lazy river is fun. The slides are pretty fast. Kids LOVE the Kiddie area with all the water features, fountains, and slides. Although I'd love to see bigger waves in the wavepool, it's entertaining. *ROWP is great for groups and parties... ! I had a wonderful time. Its was a bit pricey $45.00 for my husband and our two yr old. But other than it being a little pricey it was great not to big and the attractions were great! We visited on Sunday 9/6/15. First off its really expensive to even go there. The water slides are kind of boring you don't really go fast unless you weigh under 50 lbs. Several people including myself almost stopped while going down the slide. They closed the lazy river because of mechanical issues. We only got to go on it once right when we got there. The food is just okay, the chicken tenders are really great though. We won't be back, just to expensive for what your really getting. We have two Waterparks that are closer that are cheaper and we have more fun there. The brochure on the website made it seem like there is a family raft slide, there isn't one, so false advertising there. read more

I loved coming to Red Oaks as a kid, and I still enjoy coming on a hot summer day as an adult. It's a nice attraction to have right in our own neighborhood and Oakland Co Parks and Rec do a really nice job of maintaining it. If you are a county resident, you can enter at a reduced rate. There's a large wave pool that goes from zero depth all the way out until I can't stand up anymore, three water slides, a lazy river, and a "Splash Zone" for the little ones. Personally, all I need is a tube and I'll float down the lazy river all day. I've always found the grounds to be clean and the lifeguards always seem to be on the ball to keep everyone safe. When you want to have a group outing during the summer, definitely check out Red Oaks. As a kid I would go here at least once a year, and usually around my birthday. It's a huge wave pool that goes to about 6.5 feet. If you don't know how to swim, I don't recommend being near the deep end once the waves come on! They have tons of tubes that you can use to stay a float... typically everyone is lounging. They also have water slides for those that want a little action. They are fun, but definitely aren't as thrilling as I would want them to be. Off to the side there is a concession area, where you can munch on nachos and hot dogs. If you want to have a party here, there is tons of picnic space where you can bring you own food and have fun! read more

Park manager and lifeguards need to be retrained. I was at Red Oaks Waterpark Saturday July 27th. I was leaving the park about 3:15 pm. I was walking beside the wave pool and saw three very small children trying to climb out of the side of the pool. A little girl managed to do that, and then she immediately turned around and did a belly flop into the pool. I was amazed that not a single person that worked there had noticed these children. I stayed there waiting for someone in the park to walk over or blow a whistle for 10 minutes!! It never happened!! The next time the little girl climbed out of the pool and was going to jump in again, I told her she was not supposed to do that, and one of the lifeguards was on her way to come and tell them to stop. They were climbing out and jumping back in at the 2 foot area. They definitely could have landed in the pool on their head and been paralyzed, or even killed! Today I called the manager of Red Oaks, he came up with many excuses why it was not their responsibility to protect these children. #He kept repeating that lifeguards are not babysitters, putting the blame on parents.(Yes the parents should have been watching also.) #He kept repeating that lifeguards are only trained in emergency situations, not pre emergency situations. It's totally ignorant for him to say the parks attitude is to not try to prevent emergency situations. #His inability to accept responsibility, or to have any compassion towards these children, is disgusting. read more

The water is always a good temp, they have plenty of lifeguards and lots of chairs and room even when busy. First off, I am an Oakland County resident so I get the $10 discounted fee for myself and 3 kids. $40 is still quite expensive for one day. I've never seen coupons on Groupon or any other sister sites. That said, we go once a summer. The pools are clean, refreshing, and fun. The lifeguards are very attentive and aware of the kids. My reasons for giving 3 stars are that the entrance fee is pricey, IMO and the bathrooms are disgusting! I understand that it takes people to mess them up, but they are also old, need repairs, and pretty much unclean in a sense that makes me not want to use them. I think with the high entrance fees, the bathrooms should be maintained, and cleaned frequently. read more

I love Red Oaks waterpark. With my boyfriend living right across the street from it, it keeps him from investing the money in a pool, lol. It is cheaper for Oakland County residents, which I am not, but an Oakland County resident can buy all the tickets to get the discounted price. I also like to go after 4pm because it's even cheaper. What I like about this waterpark is how open it is. There is so much space and picnic tables everywhere. Red Oaks has a "Lazy River" which is fun if you wanna relax, but in my opinion it is too lazy. It goes too slow, but hence the name "Lazy River". They have a group of waterslides which I tend to avoid, but I have been on them and would say they are pretty fun. The wave pool is always a favorite of all the people who go to Red Oaks. The waves come and everyone grabs a tube and has some fun. The water here is also very nice, and isn't hard to get used to. Red Oaks has great employees and once they even let us put something of ours in their freezer to keep cold. Great place! read more
