This is a brilliant, traditional style pub where families are welcome.
There's locals drinking at he bar as well as families and couples having lunch from the extensive menu. There's everything from
Mussels to sizzling skillets, pies and grills.
Food here is all homemade and great value. Huge portions too. I had a mixed grill on my last visit which included steak, gammon, pork chop, lamb chop, sausage, black pudding, eggs, onion rings, Tomato, mushrooms, peas and their amazing homecut chips. £9.45. Bargain!
My Other half had a burger (again) where he could choose 3 toppings from a list. Also served with chips and was around £6.50.
Drinks are very reasonable and this place is a must if you're nearby. It's gaining a brilliant reputation and you'll need to book at the weekend. read more
