We used Kat to do family/newborn photos when we had our 2nd child. We hadn't done family photos…read morebefore and Kat was so patient and helpful with answering all the questions I had and letting me try on outfits she had in the client wardrobe to see if anything would work for me before the photoshoot. She had some beautiful options but I ended up going with a dress of my own. Kat is truly a child/baby whisperer and was able to soothe my 3 week old to get her to cooperate for pictures and got my shy toddler to smile for photos! We received our pictures within 2 days of our photoshoot and they are nothing short of incredible. We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful and stunning they look. I would highly recommend using BK Rose Studio for photos and know we will be reaching out again when we need more family photos taken!

Bottom line up front-- BK Rose is Best in Class nation-wide and peerless...keeping up with trends…read moreand best practices etc. is what gets you booked. All stop. That means doing your homework. I'll help you out with gusto, just as so many have helped me as I got started on my own journey. Being on point on your self marketing, especially when you are non-represented, is non-negotiable. Failing to be professional with what casting directors demand is a roadblock. Submissions are "make or break" power moves. THE ODDS ARE AGAINST the apex storybook discovery tales of rarities like JLAW, Michele Pfeiffer, Charlize Theron etc. so if you expect that to be your way in...it's not reality. I get cast and work in these markets: NYC (Netflix movies), Atlanta (Marvel/ABC), and Mid-Atlantic (Apple TV). I am new to the business (three years in) but I have been building a resume over time and there is no way I am going to compromise because I take my career seriously. There is no slack given in a highly competitive industry with a dearth of roles and a surplus of talent. SO...if you want to crack the code, get seen, get call backs, get booked then there is no better photographer for any amount of money than BK Rose and Kat is my Queen. I get work in commercials, major motion pictures, network tv shows because of her. Fact! Every single person I ask that plays a role in getting cast (when I am lucky enough to get employment) has singled out my headshots as what is working for me to get my foot in the door. BK Rose unequivocally is worth the plane ticket, drive time, train time, mule riding time (you name it) to get quality content and ultimately get BOOKED. Not 10 out of 10 -- 100 out of 10!

There are a lot of Yelp business pages for Complete Weddings in the Wisconsin/Illinois area which…read morecould be an initial indication on the overall OK experience. I worked with Complete Weddings and Events for my wedding in Chicago September 2024. We were attracted to them as they have the most competitive price, especially with the package discount. A family member had used them for their wedding which they also said were good, especially for the price. So despite some scathing Yelp reviews, we decided to proceed with them. We did a 3 service package for a little bit of a discount which included Day-Of Coordination, DJ, and Photobooth. The price for all three was honestly about the price for ONLY a day-of-coordinator at other Chicago vendors, and these items we were getting were important, but not our top priority on our wedding bucketlist. In all areas of communication between the event consultant, coordinator, and DJ, were spotty at times, but day-of overall, I would say Complete Weddings got it together at the end of the day and there were no major fires. + EVENT CONSULTANT - Libbi - communicative for the most part and helped with the initial agreement set-up and explanations. She was able to get the pricey right and overall, we were satisfied with her work. + DAY OF COORDINATOR - Misty - we had a rocky start with some missed calls or last minute walk through cancels but we were understanding that life happens. We had our first call end of July and had 4 calls total with her before the day. She took thorough notes of my plans and inputted them to a software called Timeline Genius. There, I was able to make edits and she would get notifications when I did. From these initial flags, I made sure to have everything set-up as easy as possible for Misty to execute, having a packet of items to complete, and organizing them in a way that was plug & play. For example, alphabetizing our table seating chart ahead of time, having each table in separate bags with the table menu, menus, and a outline of where to place folks. On the day of the wedding, Misty delivered! There was no need to give direction to her the day of. She completed all the tasks I needed, checked-in with us often, worked with the DJ and at the end of the night, packed everything so neatly (such as taking apart the table number signs), that it was really eased the day of tasks for us. Tasks included: Setting up seating chart, table numbers/menus on tables, gift table/guestbook and party favors, bar signs, set up uplighting on stairs (that we brought), and photo display We had her for 10 hours (but she ended up staying until the end of the wedding because the Photo booth coordinator did not show up) + PHOTOBOOTH - As mentioned above, the Photobooth coordinator no-showed which I luckily did not know about until after dinner. Because of this, Misty was doing the set-up and then guests would just click the button themselves and print. We opted to use our venue wall and a tuk tuk they had for the background, opting out of Complete Weddings curtain backgrounds. I think the lighting was wayyy to bright as the initial setting (as you can see in the photos). Misty let me know that guests could adjust the brightness, but without an attendant there the whole time, guests would not know that and the auto preset should be set to something that is appropriate to begin with. Printer ran out of paper at one point and there was also no one there to save us a copy of the extras which was kind of bummer, but we got digitals. They will be on a USB but you can email Misty to give you a digital download after the wedding as well. The photos were not high quality, faces looked ghostly and they were not high quality unfortunately. In the package, this cost $500 which is widely the cheapest option out there. + DJ - Nic - he was extremely friendly. They initially tell you that the calls will start starting 2 months before the wedding, but we didn't get to speak with Nic until 9 days before. This probably did mess up with our internal timeline as we waited until the last minute to get all our songs figured out. We created separate playlists for him for each section of the wedding - Pre-ceremony, Ceremony, Special Wedding Songs, Cocktail House, Dinner, Dancing. Nic came and checked in on us often, and was a good MC for announcements. My only comment was I wished the songs would not play out until the end but cut mid-way to keep the party going. I think it was our fault in the songs added but I do wish he would have noticed if a song was a dud, and cut it halfway through.

Giving two stars only because of videographer was super nice. Had videographer, photographer and…read morephoto booth for wedding. I was told a timeframe of 6-8 weeks and got both video/pictures 4 months later so had to use other peoples photos for Thank You's. When we got the photos, they're terriblly not edited. My guests took better pictures and the photobooth clearly had a busted printer because everyone's picture printed with a white line through them.. was so upset.
