It was pretty busy and everyone working in the deli was hustling to get orders out. One of the other customers told me it was BBQ day and strongly recommend the BBQ, but I had my heart set on the chicken Parmesan sandwich. The staff was friendly and helpful after I told them I was a first timer. I picked the banana pudding as the side. I got my order after a few minutes and went toy car to eat. The chicken parm was hot and fresh. The chicken was cooked well with a good outer crust. The sauce was good and there was plenty of cheese. The bread was awesome. Soft on the outside and had a good toasted crisp on the inside. The banana pudding was great. Full of banana flavor, whipped cream and a vanilla wafer. All of that for $8.00, too! I will definitely return and try some of the other items!

The potato salad was excellent though, that I'll agree with. Perhaps it was dining near the end of the shift, or dining while they were so heavily short-staffed (they had a sign up), or a combination of both, but, both orders were lackluster. Service was friendly and excellent, but not the sandwiches. I'll try to stop by in the morning if I'm in the area, and see if that makes a difference.

But seriously, how can you NOT be a fan? There's fresh local produce, just-out-of-the oven baked goods, organic low-fat meats from area farms, convenient free parking, live music, and plenty of options for good coffee and/or a meal on Main St. before or after shopping. Today, in addition to produce, we picked up some smoky links and artisan cheese from Backyard Beef (http://www.backyardbeef.com/), and brats and beef from Wenneman Meat Co. (http://www.wenneman.com/). "Queen's Scones" was out of gluten-free by 9:30 a.m., but we were able to get on an e-mail list for the next batch. We even saw a local restaurateur picking out veggies. If it's good enough for the best dining establishment in town, then I want to shop there, too.

Though I was in there a short 10-15mins if that caused a bit of a conflict with the woman in the bakery next door. As there is minimum parking available in the lot and street parking well I wasn't sure if it was allowed. The bakery lady went out of her to inform me that next time I visited I can't park in front of her trash cans because it's a fire hazard. I told her ok I just ran in and the man inside said it was ok. She said no it's not you're blocking my cars and my trash cans so it's a fire hazard. I just told her don't worry about it I was going to go into her bakery to spontaneously buy goodies but now I'll never give her my business!! Better yet during business hrs she should park her vehicles on the street so customers know they have a place to park! With that being said if there's no parking in the lot you'll have to park on the street but you'll then understand why I didn't. So Produce store is a good place to stop in and support a local small business
