My entire family has gotten their taxes done here FOREVER, and while I'm not sure why or how this came about, I AM sure I'm terrible at math and adult things, so I follow suit. I've been getting my taxes done here for as long as I've been filing taxes and I love them - they're personable, hardworking, they never steer me wrong, they ask a zillion great questions, and I'm always pleased with the outcome (I mean c'mon, they're not miracle workers, they can't magically get me a bigger refund). Since I've never gone anywhere else to get my taxes done, I don't know how "reasonable" their prices are, but given that my hubs has his his done online through H&R Block and there's no real person to check his work or tell him he's being an idiot and he pays only slightly less than I do, I think it's a pretty good deal. Though lots of you whipper snappers probably have gone the route of turbo tax and other online tax preparers, I'm just not 100% comfortable with that. Until I get there, I'll continue to come here - where I'm confident they'll do an awesome job, and they remember my face year after year.

They are a small firm that can provide individual attention, something you will never get from H & R Block (and the like). My taxes are challenging, to say the least. I am an independent contractor, but "on the books" with one client, own property, have deductions, etc. Plus I went to Art School, so numbers just aren't my thing. Ha. Combined with the fact that the tax laws change yearly, who can keep up with that unless it is your business to do so? Well Fleck & Uhlich keeps up with all of that, no worries. From my initial consultation, when I sat down with Barbara and went over all my concerns, I received great customer service. All of my emails and phone calls were returned promptly, and my questions were answered. She even suggested that I open a SEP IRA, in addition to my Roth IRA, to help with deductions and to secure my retirement. I was happy to do just that, and wondered why my former tax preparer had never suggested this to me. If you need help dealing with your taxes, I suggest you give Fleck & Uhlich a try.
