I told the front desk guy Dan that I'm not financially stable to do anything yet and couldn't do the blood work. Then they called me a few weeks later asking me if I had changed my mind? I finally gave in and said ok I'll do the blood work but I'm not going to join. I talked to the Dr and told her I'm not joining and I felt pressured into doing the blood work. A few weeks later I got ANOTHER call about joining! I was in absolute shock and disbelief. I had to block the number. When I originally called I pressed for customer service. But then got Lynnwood. Hung up. Pressed for Kirkland, and got Tacoma???? I am now wondering if this company is hemorrhaging money because I heard that they increased their yearly fees, disbanded their whole customer service department, and now soliciting calls to try to get more people... When talking to Dan I definitely felt like he was pitching a sale and not listening to my concerns. It was an awful experience.

My husband has benefited from better health and more energy for years, now. His specific needs are addressed regularly at one to three-month intervals, unlike the care I typically receive where it takes seven months to get a recommendation for an effective probiotic supplement. I envy his zombie-cell treatments (and I had never heard of them before my husband started going there) where I'm sure I struggle along with loads of senescent ("zombie") cells in my body. It's a part of aging I and others like me could do without. Regular allopathic doctors (MDs) don't address the problem. I may have to reconsider becoming a member.

Dr. Karmali is the best doctor I've ever had, and I've had great doctors in the past. I visited her…read moretowards the end of last year as a new patient and she spent about 30 minutes getting to know me before checking everything that I asked her to. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed every step of the way, talking me through everything. Dr. Karmali is extremely kind, attentive, gentle, humble, and calming. She went to UW Med School, so extra points for that! Another cool thing is that Swedish uses MyChart, an online personal health record system where you can see your medical history, appointments, messages from your doctor, etc. Strangely, when I called to make an appointment, the receptionist said that Dr. Karmali did not have any openings until January 2015. However, when I went online to MyChart, I saw multiple openings between now and the end of the year. I ended up making an online appointment with Dr. Karmali for early December and cancelling my phone-made appointment with another doctor at Swedish. I am so excited to go see Dr. Karmali again soon!

Dr. Karmali is by far the best doctor I have ever had. After my motorcycle accident in 2009 Dr. Karmali checked up on me and worked with my medical records from Harborview to continue with my pain management care. To this day she still works closely with me on this care and has been very good at keeping an eye out for my health and well being and continues to work with my pain management doctor at Harborview. Dr. Karmali set me up with MyChart (available to all Swedish patients) when I moved back to WA and through that I am able to discuss issues with her without having to make an appointment to go into the clinic (I'm already there enough as it is!) and she is quick to get back to me usually same day but definitely within 24 hours. She even responds on her days off and to me, that is complete dedication and proves just how much she cares about her patients. I have recommended her to a couple of friends and they love her as well. Dr. Karmali is very knowledgeable and caring. If she is unsure of something she will investigate the issue to ensure that you get the best possible care. She is just an amazing doctor and an even more amazing person.

She told me to continue taking prenatal and double my multi-vitamin as the nutrient level wasn't as high as she desired for me she said with our initial appointment. I went and got my blood drawn. My results came back, and I am super high in "iron". I came back for my second appointment today, one month later after receiving the blood draw to look at my results. She agreed high in iron. She told me to go get checked a second time after doing blood draws and stopping iron supplements. My mother is a hemochromotosis, if you do not get blood drawn, or this figured out - it is the reason of your death most likely with this genetic disease. I asked Naturomedica if they could look over my results a second time since I have already spent $600 with them, if they could just look it over for 5 minutes and give me a thumbs up, or a thumbs down... to tell me looks good after the blood draw, or tell me you need to come back in and we need to figure this out. They said they cannot do that, and it would cost ANOTHER $119 for a 15 minute phone call... I talked to Callie Juetten over the phone. She was harsh, rude, and extremely condoscending about the idea of having a 5 minute phone call or even an email to say you look good, or please come back in. I was happy to spend another $250 to come back in, if I needed to.. I just wanted to know if it was necessary before booking the appointment. This clinic is not capable of providing that type of service is what she told me. Is this naturopath clinic actually there to help people with their health? Why was Callie so harsh?
