Supporting people into work by recycling computers neatly sums up Reboot. For many, Reboot is the first step into the world of work. Reboot offers people a safe structured environment and a real work experience. Reboot supports and trains how them to recycle and refurbish computers and with other work skills they may be short of. For example: financial skills, stocktaking, business plans, team working, communicating and how to behave within a work environment.
Reboot provides refurbished PCs, servicing and onsite assistance for local socially minded organisations, public and businesses. As a non-profit making enterprise Reboot uses its income to continue to provide the supported work place.
Reboot recycles unusable components, which disposed of in an environmentally ethical ways, meeting current waste directives and saving landfill.
The people of Cambridge like recycling their IT through a charity. Reboot hopes to increase the levels of old computers brought to us by the general public for recycling in the near future. In the meantime please bring along 21st century PCs.
Reboot has now become part of iTrust. This has a dedicated IT services division called Circuit Riders. Circuit Riders provide new supplies and IT support to the third sector.
Working hand in hand has benefits for both parts of the organisation. Reboot can now offer support services through Circuit Riders and they can offer a wider range of IT equipment for those who cannot afford to buy new. read more
