the work was decent but slow. it took the man nearly 5 months to build an addition onto my house…read moreand charged us Extra half way through saying i need it because the price of.material went up. This was after we paid him for the material and it should have been ordered already by then. he was half way done and we didnt want to have to go finding another contractor to finish te job he was threatening to leave if we didnt give him the extra money for material. So we paid him and he took another 2 months to finish the job. Lord help you if you miss a single check by the time he wants it. About half way through the construction job My Father fell ill and had to be hospitalised. my mother went with him to the hospital and didnt leave his side until the night he passed on. which was another month after we finally dropped DZ Miller. Because my father was in the hospital he wasnt getting paid and that left just me and my mother to pay for everything. well one day he comes by and talks about whats left to do and i meet him but my mother forgot to write a check for him because she was in the hospital. He was quite agrivated by this and i told him i would get it for him when i go to visit my sick father next. The next day a saturday mind you he is texting my mother and me and demanding cash that day and threatening to charge us an extra thousand just because he drove up there along with threatenig to go back to my house and start tearing down stuff he had built. Claiming oh he needs to pay people people and he doesnt like gettig jerked around. This man was well aware my father was in the hospital and not doing well and my mother was with him. He can take monthes and monthes to not finish a single room but we come 1 day late with a payment and the world has to end. Mind you this is all because we were 1 day late on an 800 dollar check after the thousands of dollars we had already given him. We dropped DZ Miller that day and I spent the rest of the last month of my fathers life finishing what DZ Miller didnt.

I used Alliance for a large roofing project and also to replace a shower base. Alliance provided a…read morelifetime mold-free guarantee for the shower work. Imagine my surprise then when no more than six months after the work was completed, my shower base had developed extensive mold in the seaming between the base and the wall tile. I contacted the owner to make him aware of the issue, and he stated that they had used the wrong caulk and would address the issue by replacing the caulk. However, when they came back they used the same caulk as the first time and the employee stated that was the caulk they always use. After a short time, the mold came back just as before. I contacted the owner yet again and was told I should just clean the caulk and he cannot come re-caulk every year when mold grows (notwithstanding the fact that the project was guaranteed mold-free). What seems more likely to me is that the correct caulk is not being used, or poor workmanship has caused mold to grow underneath the mold-free caulking. After repeated attempts to communicate with the company and the owner to remedy the issue, they have now become completely non-responsive. I would only recommend this company if you are willing shell out several thousand dollars and take the risk of being left with a deteriorating final product and no recourse for correction. Zero stars, do not recommend.

What a dissapointment. I had a hard time finding a mason that would pick up the phone, they…read moreanswered and were very knowledgeable and friendly. They took a $2,000 deposit on my job and gave me a start date. They showed up several days later and immediately said it was going to cost an additional $1,300 which I gave them. After countless promises of random days they would come finish the job they told me they wouldn't come finish it until I paid them the final 2000 payment. I reluctantly gave it to them on the owners word it would be done. Now 2 months later, they have now ghosted me and I have a half a stucco wall and missing bricks on my house all for the low low price of $5,300. I am reporting them to the BBB and the PA chamber of commerce. I hope nobody else falls victim to their dishonesty and inability to schedule and complete work.
