Made an appointment for 2:45 with Katie, I showed up at 2:43. My barber showed up at 2:54 and didn't apologize or make any comment about how she was late, when I inquired as to why she was late all I got was attitude from her about "can't I go to the bathroom?" Still no apologies, another barber said "what do you think this is a doctors office?" That comment made so little sense I didn't know how to respond. I said "if you're just going to give me attitude I don't want you working on me," and I left. Other than slackers for hair-doin folks the vibe was cool and it could be a really great place, but I don't ever put up with attitude or lateness, GET OUT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am new to town and saw this barber while at the Farmer's Market last week and thought I'd give them a shot. I should have read the reviews first because even though some are old reviews, they echoed my experience exactly. First the barber asked me to wait a minute while he ordered food so he could pick it up on the way out. I was the last appointment of the day, totally understandable. But then he continuously ate chips and mozzarella sticks at his station while drinking from a giant soda during my haircut. He also kept sniffling and rubbing his nose, assumably and hopefully from a cold. This was beyond a speed haircut to the point that I got nervous when the barber was using a straight razor on my neck, while eating pringles! The conversation was odd, to say the least. There was a lot of fast talking, off the topic I thought we were on, and it continued long after the haircut to the point that I had to just leave having no idea what the barber was trying to tell me. Booked an appointment while on a road trip. Stayed in Billings an extra morning to have my hair cut. Cedric never showed up for the appointment I booked. I was told to sit in the back. Other employees told me to wait, stating the obvious "oh, he hasn't shown up to work". Two other barbers who weren't busy got up to go outside for a smoke break. Had an appointment made a week ahead of time. We showed up on time. It's an awkward set up when you walk in - no desk or receptionist. The gal we scheduled with, who is one of the owners by the way did not talk to us, but one of the other girls did. She said to go sit in the back and wait for the appointment. We waited and waited....40 minutes past our appointment time. Never did she come and let us know she was running late. Never did she apologize. I would have walked out if it wasn't that we would have to walk through that parlor to walk out of the business and I'm a shy person....They were loud. They advertise kids haircuts, but the music they play was full of cussing. It even had the N word in it...and they have an African American man working there...I will never go back there. The company I work for recently relocated me to Billings, MT & I needed to find a new barber, stylist, whatever...I just want a good haircut. I asked some guys I work with & I was told to give Rebels & Razors a try, but do so at my own risk because they apparently have a reputation of being hit or miss, depending on who you get. I ended up experiencing this first hand. I made an appointment with a young lady, went in and got a great haircut! She took her time, was very cool, great to talk to and I walked out a happy guy. The $40 plus tip was worth it to me. I know that sounds expensive to some, but it really was a great experience. I went ahead & made an appointment with the same lady in 2-1/2 weeks. Went in for that appointment & she's not there. Another girl asked if she could help me. I told her I had an appointment with the first girl, but her station is dark & she's nowhere to be found. I was told that she didn't come into work that day, and that this young guy, working there would be taking care of me. I was pissed that I didn't get a call, text, any notification that the lady I made the appointment with wasn't going to be there, because I would have rescheduled. Long story, short, this guy calls me over, takes the clipper to my head, less than 10 minutes later, says he's done & charges me $40. I got in my car, looked in the rear view & saw a fucking mess! My lines were't straight anymore, my fade was gone, a chunk of hair was missing in the back...it looked like a golf ball hit me in back of the head & left a divot! The best part was there was a thin line of longer hair on the side of my head that he didn't see or was in way too big of a rush to get. Like I said, the first lady who cut my hair was AWESOME! It was worth the $40. I wouldn't have given this other idiot a dime! Between that & not being given the option to reschedule that appointment when the lady I scheduled with wasn't there, I'm done. had a reschedule today for a haircut at 1:45. showed up 10 minutes early and waited. texted the owner who was my barber if we are still on for today. no answer. never received a phone call or text back stating that there not going to be able to make it in. after the fact this was a reschedule on there end. I know we all all get busy or something comes up but at least communicate with your client that your not going to be able and make it in.. is that to much to ask for? read more

Went to this man named Cedrick a black man in their usually my hair looks good from him but he pushed my hair so far back my haircut looks way worse than someone who cuts hair at GreatClips.This man literally left a square on my head don't got here unless your white no offense. read more

This was the worst haircut of my life. The woman who cut my hair typed on her phone phone for a full minute after I walked in. She asked what kind of cut I wanted but cut me off and started cutting before I was done describing what I wanted. The entire cut took about 3-4 minutes, max, and left me with a patchwork of different hair lengths. To top it off her clippers for my neck (no straight razor) were sharp and irregular - painfully leaving red scratch marks over my neck. read more

Awful, awful, awful. Experience: I was downtown, saw this place and stopped in to see if they could fit me in for a haircut. Two of the employees were just leaving, and they were either drunk (one gave another some cash and asked her to "pay her tab") or just incredibly socially inept. I counted 8 loud f-bombs and some other very inappropriate comments in the few minutes it took them to put their coats on and make their way out the door. Haircut: I'm not sure who cut my hair - she didn't introduce herself. My hair is easy, but wow -- I was in and out of the chair in 8 minutes. I've never had a speed-cut like that. After washing my hair the next day, it was obvious that one side was quite a bit longer than the other. I had to have it re-cut. Advice: stay away. read more

I came in on a Monday because my usual shop was closed. My barber had a cold and had this habit of blowing the hair out of her clippers, sometimes at me. She was obviously in a hurry. No wash as is advertised. She raked the back of my neck with the clippers. No razor for the line in the back. And for a simple clipper cut with no extras, I got charged $24!!!
