I originally sought out her support for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitntion and Reprocessing) to move through a trauma that I experienced at 13 years old. Shortly after we began treatment, I experienced another traumatic event and we quickly switched gears. Dr. Donahue is an agile psychologist who knows how to redirect attention and efforts on a whim. She helped me learn to trust myself by asking me pointed questions rather than giving me specific advice; she taught me how to set boundaries and most importantly, how to not feel guilty about doing so. She taught me how to be resourceful and utilize all of the tools I have cultivated over the years. She taught me how to utilize my friends/family/community as a tool as well. I ended my work with Dr. Donahue because I moved across the country but I would have actively chosen to stay with her had that been a possibility. I genuinely don't know where I'd be without her. No interest in my health. Teddeo actually hurt my health…read more Dr. Matilda Teddeo actually took actions to intentionally damage my cardiovascular system. After I forwarded a lipid (cholesterol) blood test requested by my primary doctor to Dr. Taddeo so she could adjust my statin prescription, she refused to increase the strength of my statin, nor reduce its strength based on the blood work unless I came into her Bronxville, NY office in person so she would receive her fee for my office visit. I had already provided her full fees for 3 prior office visits during the year 2025 with my most recent visit on Sept 2025. In October 2025 she received my lipid blood work but refused to discuss my lipid dose requirement with me by phone and then voided my lipid prescription and several months of prescription renewals from the Fleetwood Pharmacy. Her actions may have put my life in danger since I had to scramble to find an alternate doctor to provide me with my statin and for some time I had no statins to take. I am age 71 and the statin prescription helps me fight the following illnesses: high cholesterol, two leaky heart valves, one coronary heart artery partial blockage and partial blockages in both my carotid arteries. HER PATIENTS NEED TO MOVE ON TO A CARDIOLOGIST WITH COMPASSION WHO CARES FOR THEIR PATIENT'S LONGEVITY.

The true test of a doctor's ability is the care, advice and assistance provided to the patient and family when terminal illness takes hold.  Then, you need a caring doctor who knows you and your family to help you navigate the maze of care, tests, hospitals, surgeries and more. Always, Dr. Shender was an exceptional clinician and a kind and caring doctor for my parents.  When both of my parents became severely ill a year apart, during the pandemic, Dr. Shender truly demonstrated what a great doctor she is. Her caring, thoughtfulness, guidance and empathy helped us manage my parents' care and make the right medical choices for them. I was glad that we had such a caring, kind and communicative doctor who really had taken the time over the years to get to know my parents and family. Dr. Anna Shender is a wonderful example of what I am speaking of. Both she and her office manager have created an atmosphere that is illegal, poorly run, and lethargic. It took them over a month (36 days to be exact) from the date I had my lab work drawn to call me TO MAKE an appointment just to discuss my blood work. Anna Shender refused to provide me with my results via email or over the phone. Her office manager was not remorseful, completely illogical over the phone, beyond unprofessional, lazy, disrespectful and may be in for a lawsuit. I was hung up on, berated and told to find another physician.. as if I needed to be told that! I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves to be disrespected and enjoys working with an office that doesn't care about their patients health. Go to Dr. Anna Shender.... to die!
